4 camere da letto / 3. 5 bagni di casa con camera a castello. La casa può ospitare comodamente 10-12. È il luogo perfetto per ritrovarsi con la famiglia e gli amici. La cucina aperta di livello superiore, soggiorno, sala da pranzo è luminosa, calda e accogliente. Un ponte di livello superiore si estende su tutta la parte anteriore della casa e ha diverse sedie a dondolo e zona pranzo. La casa ha una vista parziale sull'oceano ed è solo una breve passeggiata per la spiaggia. Caratteristiche di casa: livello superiore ha master suite con letto king size, tv, bagno annesso, ampia cabina armadio, accesso al ponte accessibile; 3 camere da letto aggiuntive su questo livello: due con letti queen size e una con 2 letti singoli. Vi è una sala da bagno completa per queste tre camere da letto e un mezzo bagno. Al piano seminterrato si trova una grande stanza aperta con due letti a castello, divano, tv e tavolo da gioco. C'è un bagno completo a questo livello inferiore. Anche la doccia esterna è a questo livello. La casa ha pavimenti in legno dappertutto. Altre caratteristiche: 3 TV, Internet, 3 golf cart per quattro passeggeri, 5 biciclette più bici per bambini, cucina ben attrezzata, giochi da spiaggia, kayak (2 singoli e 1 doppio), bogie board, tavolo da poker. Cucciolo amichevole. L'iscrizione temporanea al Bald Head Island Club è disponibile a un costo aggiuntivo.

Awesome house

Our family was very impressed with the Hatchlings house. It felt as though we were staying with friends/family. Everything worked! We loved all the history behind the house and bald head in general. We can't say enough!! Thank you for your beautiful home!

A long needed vacation in a gorgeous beach house is what my mates and I needed and it’s what we got! Excellent communication and a full set of all the items one could need to enjoy your time at the beach.

Beautifully decorated, Plenty of room for family and friends in this historic home

Baldhead Island is the best beach in North Carolina for nature lovers! We enjoyed the many bicycles for exploring the island. A very short Walk to the beach. The great room kitchen dining room combo is Perfect for cooking family meals, and hanging out with everyone.

Old Bald Head Charm

We had a fabulous stay at this charming classic old bald head home. It’s a home. The owners take so much pride in stocking this home with amazing items. How many times have you rented a home and 1/2 the items don’t work? Not here! Loads of bikes, working clean grill, well stocked kitchen. We loved the open floor plan for our family. We enjoyed sipping coffee on the porch every morning, and using all the games provided by the owners in the evening. From this location we could hear the ocean but could not see it. However, walking or driving to a beach access was very easy. I would skip membership to the BHI club. They cater so heavily toward full time members I thought it was a waste of $. The beach is too beautiful to sit at the pool. Don’t skip Drinks at Jules and bevy’s and pizza at Wisp. Check out jailhouse too. Remember to take as much over in plastic bins as the grocery store is some what limited and pricy. Have all the fun on this special island!

Memorial Day Vacation

This is a great family beach home. The property owners are very easy to communicate with and responsive to our questions. The house is extraordinarily well equipped, and was spotless when we arrived. The home accommodates a large family with multiple bedroom and great gathering room and large kitchen.

Amazing spring break at the Hatchlings House!

We had the BEST time at BHI at the Hatchlings House. Sharon and Jim were such amazing hosts, checking in multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. We were particularly impressed with the stocked kitchen, game closet, beach toys, bikes, and vacation supplies. Truly, it has everything you could ever need in a vacation home. We had four kids between our families, and they enjoyed the room downstairs with the bunk beds. I also appreciated all of the extra special touches they accommodated for our dog Yoshi, including the cute doggy towel. Would not hesitate to recommend this house to any new or seasoned BHI traveler!

Girlfriend get away

This house was everything we needed for a high school girlfriend getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked and the house is adorable inside. We loved all the beach decorations. We enjoyed exploring the island and having multiple golf carts. The fall weather was perfect for walks on the beach.

Wonderful Home

The house and hospitality of Sharon did not stop to amaze us for the duration of our stay at this wonderful house. From the welcome bag with goodies and waters, to the comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and supplies, to toys, books and bicycles galore. We could not have asked for a better place to stay and after 10 years coming to the island, this house was hands down our favorite! Sharon, thanks for all you did to make our vacation amazing.

Fall Break Trip

Despite some sketchy weather early on, we had a wonderful visit to BHI. The house was a perfect fit with plenty of room for our family and the Lightbourne's could not have been more accommodating to ensure a great experience. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful family vacation

We had a large group with adults and young kids/infants and we absolutely loved the house. Everything was clean and extremely well stocked as advertised. We loved the bikes and sand toys/beach chairs for everyone. It was so helpful having 3 golf carts. Location was awesome and very close to the market and beach access. Thank you so much for a wonderful week at Bald Head!!

Wonderful House

The house is very clean and well stocked. The decor was beautiful and the house had so much natural light. It was a perfect beach house feel. The property owners were easily accessible and very helpful. I would rent this house again and again.

BHI vacation at Hatchling House

We found the house very accommodating for our adult family. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Bikes, kayaks and beach supplies were enjoyed. First time for some to see a loggerhead turtle lay eggs.

Beautiful Home!

We had the best week at the Hatchling house. It was well stocked with plenty of kitchen items, kids toys/equipment & beach supplies (chairs, bikes, sand toys, etc). It is very close to beach access & market/shops. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for a great week!

Memorial Day Getaway

We traveled to Bald Head for Memorial Day weekend with our son and his friends. Although the weather did not cooperate, we have a great visit. The house was well stocked and extremely clean and comfortable. The layout gave us plenty of room to spread out and the boys had their own space to hang out downstairs. I would highly recommend renting this house and would do so again.

Great week!

We had a wonderful time! Much appreciated were the ‘extras’ like games, puzzles, books, beach towels, bikes, and there were plenty of chairs. Comfy beds and pillows, exceptionally well-stocked kitchen, and comfortable couches and chairs. You can’t beat the location. We also enjoyed seeing a painting bunting in the tree every day 😊

Perfect family getaway

We loved our family getaway at Hatchling House. Location was ideal as we were close to the beach, market and BHI club. House was bright and airy, and we loved the open family room/kitchen and large porch. Very comfortable and clean house with great communication from owners.

Spring break for the win!

we had 4 adults +7 teenagers in this home and it worked perfectly. Very well stocked kitchen and game closet, beach towels provided, good bikes, enough golf carts for the size of the group. One golf cart is extremely slow so it's best not to overload that one with people or gear, but nothing really to complain about. Easy to get to the beach which was perfect for the teenagers. Would highly recommend!

Quality house for quiet beach trip

Great house for family of four (and dog) to enjoy quiet trip to the beach. Lucked out with terrific weather during our stay and the location was excellent for many beach points, the market, and BHI club. The open living area made the time even more relaxing after full day of activities. Will definitely consider again for future BHI trips. Communication with owners was easy and guidebook at house was clear on the various bells & whistles…..

Fantastic Bald Head Original

This is a great house close to the beach and well maintained/renovated. This is one of the original Bald Head beach homes from before power or ferry access to the island. The owner is fantastic with great communication. Every possible item is clearly marked. Great space for extended family

Host: Sharon and Jim Lightbourne

Jim's parents lived on the island for years. His parents were very involved with the island conservancy. Malcolm was an artist and the house is named after his painting 'The Hatchlings' which hangs at the BHI Conservancy. Our daughter was married on BHI and our son proposed to his fiancee on BHI. Bald Head has been a wonderful summer vacation spot for our extended family for years. We hope to continue this tradition for many years to come. We are so excited to have bought this home in summer 2013.

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

As soon as we saw this house, we knew it was the perfect home for our family, with a great location on the island. The large open living area is a wonderful space for family gatherings. This area is enhanced by the easy access to the large porch. The upper level porch has dining and seating areas. The lower level porch offers shade.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

Built in 1974, this is one of the 17 'generator' generation homes built on BHI. It has been beautifully updated while keeping it's original charm. The vaulted ceiling in the open living room gives the home a spacious feeling. It is conservatively decorated with fun beach accents.The bright blue, red, and white colors are lovely. The home is located on a cul-de-sac lane, just a short walk to the beach. Evenings on the porch are spectacular.
