This location was PERFECT! Right across the street from the boardwalk 5th Ave North access point. (And just one street over at 4th Ave North access point was a ramp, which made going to the beach so much better for those with mobility issues, including my dog who is a bit older and has a gimpy back leg.) It was just a short stroll down to the Sky Wheel and all those attractions, and the other way just a short stroll to the 2nd Ave Pier with its attractions. Having the beach access RIGHT THERE, though, that is what absolutely made our trip. It was so easy to just walk over to watch the sunrise, and go back to the room for breakfast, walk over to the beach throughout the day, but still be able to go back for a potty break or nap when the afternoon got hot, and then to wrap up the day with another visit to the beach to watch the sunset. And the room was so lovely to "go home" to each day. Low key, relaxing color scheme that made it a real oasis of calm. And surprisingly quiet for being right in the middle of things. Slept great, and really enjoyed relaxing back at the nice and cool room, watching a movie when it got hot outside in the afternoon. And the sun reflecting off the pool, makes the whole courtyard sparkle in this really charming way. Just a perfect spot to get away and get refreshed.
