Beautiful home with spectacular views and easy access to the beach. Only drawback was the property was under some small renovation which was not communicated in the listing, otherwise is was great!

Great location. Spacious. Sunny! Will definitely come back hope that the remodel keeps progressing and that the finishing is completed. Would also recommend updating/replacing living room furniture. Overall highly recommend!

The check-in process and communication was very smooth and easy! When we arrived the 2nd floor did smell faintly like fresh paint still, but nothing opening a few windows didn’t solve. It is still in the process of being renovated but it’s a perfect location and lovely house.

For the price, the size and the view it was excellent! We came in with a lot of little kids and it worked so well for us. It was not exceptionally clean but fine and there were a lot of little repairs that needed to happen but for just needing a landing place between beach outings it was such a great spot! We would happily come again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The view was beautiful, the location was fantastic, and being so close to the beach was a huge plus. We had a great time, and communication with the host was excellent throughout our stay. We also really appreciated their willingness to take care of the extra groceries we had left over.My only criticism would be the cleanliness. While the house appeared clean and well-kept at first glance, a few things stood out upon closer inspection. We did notice some stains on the bedding and hair on a few pillows upon arrival, so we opted to change the sheets ourselves for peace of mind. Some of the dishes also appeared to have been put away without being thoroughly cleaned.I don't want these issues to overshadow what was otherwise a wonderful stay, but I do think the cleaning deserves more attention, particularly when it comes to the bedding and kitchenware.Overall, we had a fantastic time and really appreciated the location, beautiful views, and excellent hospitality. With a little more attention to cleaning, this would be an even better place to stay!

As a 67 and 68 year old couple with our friends in their mid 70's, the stairs in this property about did us in! Somehow, in the photos and description of the property I simply did not register that there were 2 huge flights of stairs to get to the kitchen and living room areas. The decks were lovely, the location spot on, and we enjoyed the house in spite of the stairs.I did see in other reviews mention of the property being renovated, and it is a work in progress. The absence of trim boards and the 2 kitchen cupboards that would not stay closed did not bother us at all. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the wood burning fireplace. My 6 year old granddaughter did fall from the top of the ladder/stairs the night they stayed with us. It really gave us a scare. A way to block off the bottom would be nice , and increase the safety.

Accomodations with ample space. Did not realize it was 3 1/2 levels. Thankfully our elderly family made other accommodations. The height does make for a great view of the ocean from both decks. New floors in the main living spaces shows that progress is being made to update the home. The bedroom carpets are heavily stained and need to be replaced next. New fixtures in the bathrooms however the towel rod in one bathroom needs replaced as it is very rusted. The shower water pressure is extremely good! You definitely get a power washing in the shower. The living room furnishings could stand to be replaced. One couch in particular is quite stained. The whole interior needs a fresh coat of paint but that is cosmetic. The whole house was clean with fresh linens. The queen bed in the second bedroom is broken down. We put the mattress on the floor of the bunk bed room and that helped a lot. We enjoyed our stay and really like the Oceanside area and will be back.

We appreciate the notes about the bedroom carpeting, towel bar, living room furnishings, and the queen bed. Those items are on our maintenance plan: the carpeting replacement is scheduled next, the rusted towel bar will be swapped out, the stained couch will be evaluated for replacement or deep cleaning, and the queen bed frame will be replaced. We’ll also include a fresh coat of paint as part of ongoing updates. We look forward to welcoming you back.

Good location

Easy walk to the beach. Nice view from the kitchen. Would recommend bringing your own pots and pans or lots of oil because the ones available are pretty scratched up and everything sticks.

Great for grandparents and grandchildren - and anyone in between

We brought our six year-old grandkids here - for the proximity to the beach, and the loft. There’s lots of room, great beach views, and lots of light.

Great location and views

The house was great with plenty of space for our guests. The only drawback are the stairs as it is a 3 level home. Wonderful view of the ocean from the windows and the decks. We would definitely stay here again.

Villa Villekula

This is a great house in a great location. The interior could use some updating and a bigger TV. Also, we would have appreciated having more than one deck chair. The views and location are terrific! We really enjoyed staying here.

Simple house in paradise

We’ve stayed in this house several times. On this last visit, the place was a bit more Spartan than we remembered, and not spotless like it had previously been, but still plenty nice and plenty of fun. A great trip!

Incredible location, beautiful views, unique house with plenty of space.

Walk 150 yards to the beach, view the beach from 2 decks and amazing view windows. The kids loved the loft. The house was arranged well and had plenty of space.

Perfect weekend at this spot. Best location we could ever want and we'll equipped house. Only docking a point for bunkbeds being too squeaky to sleep in and for some issues with temperature control (way too hot upstairs when the sun was out, too cold in back bedroom)

We had a wonderful time at this house in Oceanside. House layout was perfect for our two family vacation. This location can’t be beat, walkable to amazing beach location. View was perfect. Con- WiFi and internet are not good. TV remote was missing. Bring DVDs if you want something to watch. Would go again and be better prepared. Great property for us.

Property in transition — some great updates, some things still need workThis property is clearly mid-renovation, and it shows in both good and bad ways.The good:The ocean view is excellent, and the new decks are a great addition. The real wood-burning fireplaces are a lovely touch. New floors and appliances look great, and the couch, while due for a cleaning, is comfortable — plenty of blankets on hand to cover it in the meantime.Needs attention:Carpet is old and in poor condition (disgusting, in our experience)Mattresses are worn out, with foam toppers that don't helpSome of the newer pots and pans arrived dirty, with food residue still on themDownstairs bathroom has a slow drainKitchen faucet is looseRan out of garbage bags with no easy way to get moreMany of the old metal blinds don't functionBBQ was not working (rusted out); we contacted support and got an AI chatbot that sent a new propane tank, which didn't fix the actual problem. They did offer a discount, which we appreciated.Bottom line:This property has real potential — the view, decks, and fireplaces are fantastic — but it's clearly not fully renovated yet. If you're considering booking, I'd ask the host directly whether the baseboards, new carpet, window treatments, BBQ, and beds
