Clean and Comfortable

We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything we needed to make our stay comfortable was there;. Dee was always available to answer any questions we had and was extremely helpful. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this condo to friends and family.

Months stay at Dana Pt.

Weather wasn't perfect, but it hasn't been anywhere this year. We had a good stay with family coming at various times. Lots of relaxing at the pool and hot tub.

Winter Getaway

Dee’s place was exactly as listed. A perfect getaway for my family in a wonderful location. She was quick to solve the one minor issue that came up during our 3 month stay sending heaters immediately when the furnace had a slight hiccup. We enjoyed our visit very much.

Great place to stay

Across the street from the ocean. Have your morning cup of coffee with a tremendous view. Wifi worked fine even with several people using it. Condo was clean and convenient to pool, trash and parking. Your are right near lots of restaurants and shopping. You need a car to easily get to places although there is bus service but I didn't use it. I would recommend it to everyone particularly since there are twin beds in one of the bedrooms...most condo rentals provide only queen beds. I love Happy Hour at Harpoon Henry's because they discount their fish and chips (mahi mahi) which are fabulous.

Lovely extended summer

Our 3 month stay turned into a 4 month stay as our home was undergoing repairs and renovations. The condo couldn’t have been better for us - the location is divine and I was even able to work from home with the built-in desk in one of the bedrooms. We spent many a happy evening and day on the patio with the fantastic view of the water. It was at least 20 degrees cooler in DP than at our home in MV, and my husband proclaimed this “the best summer of my life!” :-) I’m not sure he’ll move back to the suburbs with me after the renovations are done. The hosts were lovely and answered every question quickly and were most accommodating - thank you!

Great location, needs some updates

My wife & I stayed in this property for almost 3 months while our house was being finished. The location is fantastic! Right across the street from the Strand Beach parking lot with easy access to the beach, hiking trails, and the Lantern District. Super easy to get to. The sunsets are postcard worthy. The south side of the parking lot is a place where high schoolers and other young adults gather to have a good time. They are usually broken up by 10pm. It's actually rather funny to eavesdrop on them since they are not quiet. Oh, to be that age again! The check-in/out processes were very easy and the instructions were crystal clear. The property owners were great and any questions were answered very quickly. The only downside is that some items need updating. The living room furniture has seen its better days and the washer & dryer could use a refresh. Overall, our stay was great and I will be keeping this property in mind for the future when family visit!

Could use some updating. Furniture worn and kitchen needs glassware and silverware sets. Looks like they bring old stuff from home.

Great vacation

Overall excellent stay, very nice condo, exactly as described, with all the basic necessities, directly across the street from Strands Beach Park, great neighborhood, beautiful sunsets, and close to most everything. We were very happy with our stay. Two things to note: there are 164 steps down to the beach, and there was a bit of noise from street and Strands Beach Park parking lot most evenings (but typically quieted down by 10pm).

Pleasant summer in Dana Point.

We were here for 9 1/2 weeks this summer, and also same place for 10 weeks last summer, to escape the desert heat. Great rental unit and great location.

Perfect location

This condo is in a perfect location. It is across from the Strand Park leading down to the beach, near wonderful nature trails and close enough to walk to the Lantern District where one can enjoy a lovely lunch or pick up needed supplies. We spent many hours on the beach daily and in the evening we sat on the patio watching beautiful sunsets. The condo is very comfortable, well supplied and has large rooms. Dee, the owner, was very accessible when we needed any questions answered. We cannot thank her enough and look forward to visiting again.

Great rental

Was very nice for our 10 week escape from the desert. The only complaint -- we are not fans of "DirecTV Now". Specifically, cannot surf for the routine channels, just too time consuming. Otherwise very nice condo, in fantastic location.

Great views of sunsets and Catalina island

We mostly enjoyed walks along the beach and bike rides to San Clamente. Dee and Frank were always very helpful.

Monarch Beach Condo

This is our second time staying for a month at Dee Klaus' Condo. It is very close to Baby Beach, which we frequent EVERY day since we are Stand Up Paddlers (SUP). Dee's condo is always immaculate and everything necessary for a great stay. i called Dee once JUST to let her know the master toilet cycled at times and she responded immediately. Good restaurants are very close by as well as Costco. We will continue to return for the full month. Thank you, Dee.

Proximity to the ocean and the park was great. Dee was accommodating.

House is outdated. Flooring kitchen and bathrooms are renovated but the furniture is old and there is an old house smell in the house. At an oceanfront house one expects classy furniture. Ceilings are low.

Spoke with guest at leasr twice during the stay. Resolved a TV issue. Asked how is everything. The response was "great, enjoying the stay, no problems", I offered my assistance if any question or issues. Didn't hear anything back untill this review. I called the guest about the review and about our conversation. Said he will change the review. The furniture was changed 5 years ago and never had a complaint from past guests about this or any type of odor. We guarantee the cleaning and if guest not satisfied it will be done again. This unit is in the ground floor and has normal height ceiling. Again I never had a complaint before from any of my past guests. I do appreciate guest suggestions, and I will do my best, to resolve any issues under my control.
