We had such a lovely stay at the most beautiful property, and Stanley and Bo are fantastic hosts! We woke up every morning to deer in the front yard and an amazing view of Lake Michigan in our backyard. The location is perfect, making for an easy drive to neighboring towns and sites. We truly enjoyed our time in Leland! We’ll definitely be back again soon!

We stayed at Promised Land carriage house for our 35 anniversary. It is a beautiful place. Perfect location on Lake Michigan. Only 25 minutes to many small towns we wanted to visit. Definitely will go back.

The Promise Land, as it was called, was a beautiful property. We had a great bedroom, a living room/dining room/kitchen area as well. The property was above the main property's garages. Our own entrance, great parking. We had run of the outside property including the stairs (173 steps) to the beach below. Beautiful sunsets of over Lake Michigan every evening, with cool breezes. Stanley, the owner, was available for any questions. She was a gracious hostess even though she was having some problems getting around outside. The location to Leland (Fishtown), Northport, Glen Arbor, Suttons Bay, Sleeping Bear National Park was ideal. Many great wineries and cideries in the area. My wife and I highly recommend this property if you want to visit the Leelanau Peninsula, We can't thank Stanley enough for the welcoming we received as well as our wonderful time at she and her husband's wonderful property.

Perfect! The space was great, two separate suites which was fabulous. Clean. Loved having Lake Michigan right out our door. Watched sunset from the property. Beautiful! The location worked great for us, easy to get to all of our destinations (HIKING). We met Stanley and Bo, chatted a bit. Great people. Cooking supplies limited, however had most of what we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful property in an excellent location

We stayed in the East Guest Suite and could not have been happier. The property is simply gorgeous. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and sunrises as well as fantastic star gazing. The location is close to all that Leelanau County has to offer, yet you feel a million miles away. The owners were not at the property when we were there but they were very responsive with communication and our stay was uneventful. We will be back!

Great place to stay!

The description of this property as listed very accurately reflects our July 2014 stay at this property. Our hosts, Bo and Stanley, were very kind and welcoming. The suites are beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable. The area just south of Leland is so beautiful with views of Lake Michigan and the Manitou Islands to the west and view of Lake Leelanau to the east. My husband and I golfed at wonderful courses in the area, we also hiked and rented bikes in Glen Arbor for the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail. Also, many wonderful restaurants and wineries in the Leelanau Peninsula. We had a wonderful vacation in these accommodations. Thank you so much Bo and Stanley, your "Southern Hospitality" shows. We hope to return next year. :-)

Incredible Location

Property was extremely clean and comfortable. Grounds were very well maintained. Listing was exactly as advertised. Views were excellent, and the steps down and back to the lakeshore were very well worth the effort.

Great location and hosts!

We agree that this location and property are the “promised land”. Easy in and out location to all points in Leelanau area. Easy to bike into Leland. Perfect sunsets included! Hosts were very welcoming.

Beautiful Property Overlooking Lake Michigan

We spent a week in Leland in late August, and this place was perfect for us (2 adults & a young toddler)! The rental unit was clean and comfortable and in a great location to explore the Sleeping Bear Dunes, Leland, Suttons Bay, and more. The owners made us feel right at home and encouraged us to explore the property, which includes incredible views from a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan and several flights of stairs down to a private shoreline. We can't wait to return!

Beautiful rental

We rented this property for the month of July and couldn't have been happier! The owners were so welcoming and the property couldn't have been more picturesque, with views of both lake leelanau and Lake Michigan. Highly recommend this rental!
