Our week at The Red House was wonderful in every way. The cottage is lovely and the view is spectacular. We enjoyed the property and munched on fresh blueberries when we walked the pathways. Location is great and an easy drive to St John’s. Thank you to Kelly and Chris for greeting us on arrival and ensuring everything was ready for our stay.

Beautiful, clean, comfortable property. Ocean view is magnificent, hosts are wonderful, and our stay was seamless. Close to hiking, and an easy drive to other sites of interest.Would stay here again and wished we could have stayed longer!

We had the most amazing holiday at the Red House. The hosts were welcoming and very responsive. The house was exactly as described. We were fortunate to enjoy beautiful sun rises over the ocean in the morning and a couple of evenings with a full moon. It was an incredible experience and definitely enhanced our holidays. What a joy it was to finish our day of touring and come back to the Red House and relax. We would love to come back again!

Hands down the very best Vrbo experience we've had so far! The owners were on top of everything, flexible with our departure time, and the property had everything we could think of for our extended stay. Unlike most hosts, Kelly actually stopped by to see how things were going and gave lots of good advice about local restaurants and points of interest. The view from the cottage is absolutely breathtaking. We saw at least a dozen whales on the last three days of our visit. We recommend the Red House to anyone wanting a warm and friendly Newfoundland experience.

The views really deliver!

Had an excellent stay! Property was clean and well stocked. Easy drive to St Johns Airport and downtown. The views were unbeatable....we even saw a couple of whales in the cove one night! Definitely one of the best places we've stayed, hope to come back again when we aren't doing tours in town so we can just enjoy the views the whole time.

We had the pleasure of staying at the little red house for a week and we loved every minute. Kelly was there to greet us and give us the run down of the area. She was friendly and so kind. The views were spectacular and we looked forward to starting each day with a coffee on the deck overlooking the ocean.

Lovely Place in Pouch Cove

This was a great place to stay on the Avalon Peninsula. The cottage was immaculate with a terrific ocean view. Beds were comfortable and everything worked. Close to St. John's, hiking trails and nature.

We enjoyed this perfect location for sitting on the edge of the rocks and watching and listening to the ocean .Lots of trails to hike and also being close to St Johns for a more busier day. The front deck was our favorite place, to relax and read and just sit.

We had a wonderful stay—this property is truly a gem. The view of the cove and ocean is truly spectacular! It’s very comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made us feel instantly at home. The space is beautifully appointed, with touchers that fit the setting tie to Newfoundland and St. Johns. Everything we needed was right at our fingertips—fully equipped and clearly prepared with care. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Beautiful property, amazing views and great location. Cottage was perfectly stocked, very clean and beds were very comfortable. Chris and Kelly, the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

We Loved Red House!

Every aspect of our stay was wonderful—communication with Chris and Kelly, ocean views from the deck, bedrooms, living room and dining room, ease of check-in and check out, fully equipped kitchen, availability of washer and dryer. Kelly and Chris have anticipated every need of the traveler. Appreciated the visit from Kelly and learning more about the property, Pouch Cove, and Newfoundland. Never ending view

beautifully spot, peaceful, relaxing, never ending view hiking trail steps from the back door, close to st john's and highways to other beautiful places to explore

It was a spectacular view of the ocean. We managed to see many whales, and iceberg from far away. The property itself was very comfortable and very cozy. Kelly who welcomed us was amazing and easy to reach. Overall, we had a great vacation and looking forward to coming back.

Home away from home

The Red House was really a home away from home. We loved every minute there. The house had everything we could have wished for. We had a little hurricane for 2 days and were just watching the weather and the sea from a very comfortable living room. We can highly recommend a stay there and will come back for sure.
