The Lake House on Sunset Point sits on a wide, deep-water cove on Smith Mountain Lake in Moneta, Virginia — an easy walk to Virginia Dare Cruises & Marina and a short drive to Smith Mountain Lake State Park. The water's calm most days. Mornings tend to start on the deck. Evenings end at the fire pit on the patio. The kitchen's fully stocked with new stainless steel appliances. The dock's ready for your boat, or a quiet afternoon of fishing. Bring your dog - this house is dog-friendly. Whether you're teaching the kids to cast a line, out on the kayak or paddleboard, or just watching the water with coffee in hand, there's room here to actually slow down. If you'd rather explore than stay put, local wineries and the Blue Ridge Parkway are close by, and history buffs can visit Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest, the Booker T. Washington National Monument, or the National D-Day Memorial.

Great stay. Deep water floating dock was perfect to anchor/tie to. Super last minute booking but appreciated the flexibility!

Very Nice property - this is our 3rd stay there for a weekend fishing trip. Great location and great views and plenty of space for 4 of us. Dock was convenient for our boat.

Nice property. Lots of stairs to the lake but thankfully next to deep water with a sturdy dock that included a floating dock component so we could dock our boat with ease

The home sits in a Great location in regards to the Lake and nearby amenities, such as Marinas, public beach/national park or nearby convenience stores.Host does a great job in providing everything you’ll need for a fun time at the Lake, all kitchen essentials, game room, grilling station etc.The home was just a delight that our family definitely enjoyed.Communication was prompt and courteous.The only thing we needed was more days to enjoy the area, everything else was just great!During our stay we got rained-in one day but with all provided amenities in the game room we had a blast being indoors, the next day the storm had passed and we were able to enjoy the kayaks and padle board and of course the lake itself. We don’t fish but certainly could have, as we saw plenty of small mouth bass swimming nearby.All in all we recommend this home to anyone looking for a fun getaway at SML.

Great house, dock, and cove!

We really enjoyed staying at the house! It was super clean, great kitchen, plenty of space to hangout and eat. The dock was amazing! Plenty of room to hang on the dock and it was stocked with floats! Great house!

Great Lake House!

This home was a great lake getaway and had everything we needed for our short visit. The home was very clean and the yard was perfect for our dogs to run and play. Oh and don't forget about the views, simply amazing!

Fabulous Lake House

Simply a perfect home in a perfect spot on Smith Mountain Lake. We loved every aspect of the home: it is spacious, nicely furnished and equipped, immaculately clean, and in a beautiful cove. We will make it an annual trip.

Great House

Pictures don’t do the house justice! Great communication with property manager, super comfortable bedrooms, living room, and TV room in the basement. Kids/teenagers loved the dock and basement.

Wonderful Trip

We had a wonderful 2 week stay at the house. The house was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. The dock was beautiful and we enjoyed all the fish we caught. The house is a lot of fun and perfect for families. We would absolutely stay here again if the opportunity presented itself.
