As we discussed on the phone after I saw your review, the kitchen faucet lever is reversed in convention from what is common elsewhere (an issue we will correct in the future). As you told me, the dishwasher next to the sink did have hot water, and I think the faucet would have provided hot water with the lever in the correct (unintuitive) position with a longer wait (the hot water heater is on the the 3rd floor). Unfortunately, our artesian well system does lead to a drop in pressure in the house when the garden hose is being used to fill the pool at full stream output. We recommend filling the pool more slowly. Thanks for alerting me on the phone to a potential plumbing leak from the 3rd floor bathroom. Our maintenance man did a quick check and did not see it recurring, and the guests staying in the house after you have not seen the problem (yet), but we will do a more thorough investigation when the house is unoccupied.
