We just got back from a short trip to York. I was a little nervous to book with no reviews yet, but you should feel great about booking yours. This place is a gem!The house was bright and airy. Vaulted ceilings, open living and kitchen space...none of that dated beach cottage feel. It felt like a home, not a rental. The beds were super comfortable, with nice bedding and towels that seemed new. On the bedrooms: they're separated by a real wall, so it's fully private. You can't see over. It's just not entirely soundproof. The kitchen was stocked well too... spices, foil, storage bags, plus a Nespresso and Keurig with pods. We never had to run out for basics. Getting to the beach was easy. We walked through an adorable little neighborhood of backstreets, maybe ten minutes each way. Everything we needed was already at the house. They had chairs, umbrella and a cooler. We threw it in the wagon and went. We didn't drive, but there looked to be open spots near the beach later in the afternoon (metered, I think 4/hr). For food, we found the Oceanside Store near the bathrooms at Long Sands, which was great for snacks and beach essentials. We also grabbed steamed lobsters from Off the Boat Lobsters and ate them at the table in the yard. We had a small question and the host was quick to respond, which was great. It was clear a lot of care went into the place before we arrived. Book this place. You'll be glad you did!
