Questo accogliente cottage di pino con una camera da letto offre una zona salotto separata con cucina completa. Idealmente situato su una stretta penisola tra il lago Portage e il lago Michigan, ognuno offre spiagge uniche. Si trova dall'altra parte della strada rispetto al lago Portage ea 5 minuti a piedi dal lago Michigan. L'accesso del pubblico ad entrambi i laghi è vicino. Onekama è la porta verso la M22 scenica, votata come una delle 10 migliori strade panoramiche in America da USA Today. C'è davvero qualcosa per tutti. Trascorri il tuo tempo passeggiando su entrambe le spiagge, nuotando, andando in barca, pescando o semplicemente rilassandoti attorno a un falò in spiaggia mentre guardi il tramonto. Great location, and host!

Charming town and so happy I found this great cottage. Nice hosts, clean, comfortable and we were able to bring my two small dogs. Both lakes are amazing! I definitely plan to return.

Nice relaxing getaway

We love staying at this nice little cottage. It is quiet and away from the touristy areas but a close enough drive to shop and sightsee.

Authentic northern getaway

Exactly what we were looking for, a cute little cabin/dollhouse nestled away in northern Michigan. Amenities were perfect, location was excellent, quiet and relaxing. Host was very responsive, place was kept clean, and we had everything we needed. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Relaxing

This property was perfect for me and my partner. I can't remember a more relaxing time I have had on a vacation. The property was close to Langland beach. We were able to enjoy the sunset every night. Everyone we met and spoke with were so friendly. My partner got to meet many dogs as they were being walked by the cottage. There were many things so see and do within a reasonable drive from the cottage. Arcadia Marsh has to be one of my favorites. My sunrise pictures would have only been better without the addition of the smoke from the Canadian fires. Same goes for the sunset ones. But, it is, what it is this year. Also, I have never seen so many deer as in this area. We seen some every day while here! Morning, noon and evening. You have to be a bit vigilant while driving. We can't wait to come back again. We highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed our stay in the little cabin. Onekama is a very dog friendly community with lots of hiking options a short drive away. We will be back.

Cute place and great location. The pier in Onekama is within walking or biking distance and the sunsets there are beautiful!

Family vacation

Our family had a great week staying here. Waterfront and beach access were all within walking distance and we loved walking our dogs there to get in their exercise. Jane was super helpful and quick with answers to questions!

We needed a nice little getaway and it was exactly what it was when you had a great dinner at the restaurant called the Manitou and just enjoyed our weekend took a lot of walks and enjoyed the accommodations. Thank you so so much.

Great Cozy cottage, has all you need!

We had a great stay with our little family in this cozy cottage. Right across from the lake and 5 minutes to the Portage Point Inn, where we attended a wedding. It was a perfect location for our short stay, and wished it could have been longer. Thanks for sharing your sweet home!

Super convenient location!

This cottage is located perfectly ... a few of Portage Lake out the front door, 3 minutes walk to public access to Lake Michigan. You can stroll down to Portage Point Resort for a pizza or ice cream, or drive to the Heathlands golf course in 10 minutes. Perfect for us!

Clean and comfortable!

The house has everything you could possibly need, it was clean and comfortable. A short walk and you were at the lake,. I liked that I could walk a half mile in one direction to get to Lake Michigan walk down the beach and come up at a different spot and walk another half mile to complete the circle. I would definitely book this property again.

Just right

We've rented this property for several years. While we kinda wish to stay right on the lake, this location is the next best thing. I enjoy the glimpse of Portage Lake as I sit on the sofa and look out the window. Walks to either Lake Michigan beach are refreshing. We always enjoy bike rides around the peninsula.

A True Northern Michigan Cabin Experience ❤️

This cabin is perfect for 2 or 3 people, absolutely love the original knotty pine interior, parking for two vehicles at the front door was a plus, owners were the best in making sure everything was just like at home, loved the location, easy walking access to several public accesses to Portage lake and within minutes to the Beautiful Shores of Lake Michigan. Planning on and can’t wait until next years stay, we’re hoping to schedule a 3 week stay at this Gem of a get away next year. Thank You..

Portage Lake cottage

Enjoy a view of Portage Lake right from the comfortable living room. Lake Michigan is a short walk from the cottage. Furniture and bed are very comfortable, outdoor picnic table and grills are great. Kitchen is very well stocked with nice dishes and pots and pans. I brought more than I needed due to the thoughtful stocking of kitchen, linens, blankets, and towels. Backyard backs up to sand dunes. Very beautiful setting.

Relaxing Time

The property was clean And the location was excellent. 100 feet from Portage Lake and less than a mile to walk down to Lake Michigan. Portage Lake was warm enough to relax in, and Lake Michigan was cold enough to sober one up. Managed to get in both, but spent most of my time at in the big cold one. The beaches are great, and the water is crystal clear and BLUE!!! The town itself is small enough to get around in on foot or bike. There are surrounding townS a bit busier If you like that, but we spent most of our time at the beach and with the residents of the town. June is rather quiet and we plan on same time next year. This time with a boat.

Clean. Lovely location. Quiet. Relaxing.

Very clean, well-supplied with dishes, cookware, all basic supplies. All arrangements worked as expected. The owners were responsive and accommodating. Great location for access to Lake Michigan. There are many public access points, all well marked. We favored the one closest to the channel connecting Portage Lake with Lake Michigan because of convenient parking and a boardwalk there down to the beach. Even on Labor Day the beach was not crowded. We enjoyed bike riding both in Onekama and also up the coast a bit by Acadia. Scenery along the coast is amazing. Manistee is also a short drive and has many dinner options. Saw deer, wild turkeys. Every day we opened the door of the cottage and had a partial view of Portage Lake, which we really enjoyed.

Our family has been vacationing in Onekama for four generations. We have never seen a more perfect setting. Both lakes provide such unique offerings and to have them both within minutes is what really makes this area unique. Where else can you watch the sun rise on one lake and set on another within a half mile? What we love the most about the area is the fact that once you have experienced Onekama, you always seem to come back. Year after year and generation after generation, this is the place to make family memories.

Both of this dollhouse and its sister cottage have beautiful knotty pine interiors. They can be rented independently or together. The dollhouse is a cozy get-away, but would also be a perfect grandparent or in-law cottage for families staying in the sister cottage.
