A charming and comfortable place to stay. Holly and Mark are so accommodating and go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. A private entrance leads to the top-floor apartment. Inside, the rooms are furnished very comfortably - with lots of art, books, and even and a beach bag. There is a lovely private deck to enjoy and the apartment is close to the lakefront, great restaurants, and a quick hop away from downtown Chicago.

Such a lovely stay at the White Owl! Holly and Mark were fantastic hosts and made us feel welcome - gave great food recs, provided some items we needed, great communication. The place is full of art and character, and location is great! Stayed to visit my kid at Loyola, so easy access to L and busses and all of it.

Holly was a wonderful host. The little upstairs apartment was perfect for my Mother-Daughters trip to Chicago. Holly even offered us water and sunscreen on one of the extremely hot days. The option for off street parking was a huge bonus and I used it two of the nights. We enjoyed the space tremendously and Holly made it even better! Thanks, we’ll be back!!

This property was fantastic. The neighborhood was amazingly quiet. It was exceptionally clean and had everything we would need. It even had extras like snacks and coffee. The host was very responsive, and we appreciated getting a late check out.

Great location and host

This was a great apartment that met my husband’s and my needs. From the proximity to the grocery store, restaurants, CTA stations and beach! Felt safe the whole time.

Comfortable and good location. Nice to have plenty of beds for our group. I will say a couple of the pictures and one of the "doll" decorations my daughter and her friends found disturbing. Otherwise, plenty of communication and good to have small kitchenette and laundry facilities.

Nice little, well appointed, apartment. Could use a newer TV (not old box tv), but we were out and about most of the time. Had everything else we could have ever needed. Lots of tea options snd condiments.

Great Apartment for Exploring Chicago

We came to Chicago to watch some baseball and explore the city. This apartment was perfect. It's a 2 minute walk to catch the Metra train downtown, and a 10 - 15 minute walk to catch the 'L' to Wrigley Field. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. Holly was great and provided maps and schedules (and a cold beer the first night!). We would definitely stay here again.

Great cozy place near all things Chicago!

Cute place with room to hang out together! There was enough room for each of us to have a place to sleep as well. This is up a couple narrow flights of stairs, and there is no stove, but the ability to toast and microwave was just perfect (so I didn't have to cook). So we could have some easy snacks and light meals in. There is a stackable washer/dryer (i brought a few pods, but there is some detergent on site). Owner was VERY attentive and helpful ... we'll be coming back here next time we visit Chicago!

Great location, cute apartment

Our group of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens) enjoyed our 2 night stay in Holly and Mark's cute apartment. The sleeping arrangements were comfortable and the small kitchen allowed us to save on restaurant meals. Holly communicated with us early and often, letting us know everything we needed in order to find and enter the apartment. She allowed us to drop off our stuff early (prior to check-in) so that it didn't have to sit in the hot car all day. Loyola Park and its beaches are just a few blocks away (easy walk) and the Metra station is very close for trips downtown. Rogers Park is a lovely area and we felt quite safe, even walking home from the Metra station late at night. Thank you Holly and Mark!

My family and I stayed here for a week while one of my daughters went to a dance intensive in the city. This place is super clean, had everything we needed to make our own meals (utilized the microwave, oven toaster and the skillet, coffee maker), there extra blankets and pillows, plenty of towels, toiletries, etc). My kids enjoyed the “vintage” TV. LOL! It’s not a flat screen but we still were able to access Disney, Netflix, etc. This was our home away from home. It’s cozy, quirky which we loved, and enjoyed the balcony and the trees. As a parent, this VRBO was perfect for our needs and I was thankful for the washer and dryer, AC and fans. Wifi was great! I worked remotely during our stay. Holly (host) is very attentive and responsive. She was awesome! I recommend paying for a parking spot in the driveway. Chicago parking is tricky! Be ready for the stairs. Got our daily glute exercises in :) We were fine with them. It might catch you off guard if you have a lot of luggage and bad knees. Grocery stores are near by so driving wasn’t a big deal. We used Instacart too so that was convenient for us. I would stay here again. I didn’t mind the commute (about 15-20 minutes with no rush hour traffic) to downtown and access to the beaches was just a short drive. I highly recommend this cute apartment loft!
