We had a wonderful, relaxing time at Wake Dreams! Clean home, fully stocked kitchen, very comfortable space. Easy check in and great communication with the owner. Highly recommend!

Need a railing on last set of steps to the dock. Older folks said. The grille needs rebuilt the burners are rusted and heat only comes out at the ends. Lighter not working either. Some kitchen utensils dirty in the drawers. More chairs down on the dock area. Good times

Overall, the property was great. Plenty of space to accommodate all of our guests. The access to the lake wasn't bad either. I'm not sure why there's no handrail on the last set of steps leading to the dock, but maybe they are in the process of doing that? The boat dock was excellent, everyone enjoyed going down the water slide and swimming, Also plenty of room to dock both of the boats that we rented. Cleanliness of the house, overall the house was fairly clean, little bit of dust here and there but no big deal. The kitchen table however was quite sticky and nasty. We are seasoned professionals, as we have rented vrbo homes for years with large groups. With that being said, the lack of towels, dish soap, toilet paper, and or dishwasher soap was a little disappointing. We all still had fun. 4 out of 5

The cabin was ample room for the 11 person bachelorette party. Plenty of pots, pans, utensils, and crockpots to make meals for a large group. The steps were slippery in the rain but the dock and lake were worth it.

Endless hours of waterfront fun

The kids loved the dock, fishing, boating,jumping etc. so much to do! The house was great, just as described. Clean, everything we needed. The only thing a renter might want to know, which is in the pictures, but if you have someone who has a mobility issue they will be limited because of the stairs, unless you have a golf cart. We will definitely be staying here again!

Family Vaca

The cabin was large and decorated nicely and very clean. Communication with management was immediate and friendly. Only issue was lowest level suite. Dark and dreary with dead bugs. Needs decor and better lighting and bug control. Family would not stay there so we had to shuffle around bed assignments.

Entertaining wildlife

We had an amazing trip. Although the house was nice and the water was amazing. My favorite part of the trip was each night around the fire. There were three or four skunks that lives very close by. Every night they would come out. watching my children run and scream was pure bliss.

Best Location in Norris Lake

We had a Birthday celebration and family reunion and we had a great time. The house is beautiful, clean, the view is breathtaking, the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need, the dock is lots of fun, the lake is beautiful and clean, after a day in the lake we would go in the jacuzzi that was wonderful. I read some comments here about 2 of the bedrooms, we use all the bedrooms and had no issues, my best advice is follow the directions about the refrigerator etc, and enjoy your self in this awesome place.

Property was great. Parking is tight but manageable. Being a veteran, I was disappointed that an American flag that is on the backside was old and dirty and not properly lit at night. Please replace and have proper lighting so it can be honored correctly for all who have served and undertand what it stands for.

Wonderful stay

There were only 11 of us, but we ranged in age from one and a half to 72, and had an excellent stay! The house is lovely and has a nice view of the lake while still protected with some old tall trees. We used the fire pit and dock a ton renting a ski boat for the weekend and a day rental jet ski. Plenty of room to accommodate 4 different family units and space for us to eat and lounge. We did not use the bottom two rooms but did check them out and everything smelled fine (saw a smell mentioned in a previous review). There are quite a few steps to get to the dock but the kids had no problem and us adults just had to take our time. The extra fridge in the laundry room was handy. House maintained very comfortable temperature even with so many floors! Would definitely recommend this place.

Good for a large group

Overall, the house was fine. I felt a little misled about two of the bedrooms. They could only be accessed from the outside and you had to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the other. With most of us having younger kids, those two bedrooms made a big difference. They weren’t doable for the kids because we couldn’t hear them from the top level if we put them to bed before us. Other than that, it had a floating dock which we enjoyed and a nice fire pit. The house was clean and the hot tub was a big hit. We would definitely come back to Norris Lake!

As you had indicated at booking, you had never been to Norris Lake. It is always helpful to become familiar with the new vacation location. As for the “walkout” level separate entrance we list this in the description section and the photo caption. Many cabins located on Norris Lake have this feature. Many travelers enjoy this isolated feature – some do not.

Good location- but the house needs work

Location was great - house itself is a decent set up, but as previously mentioned , the 4th ‘master’ bedroom was not usable. The smell of mildew was overwhelming. So adults had to sleep in bunk beds. There was no soap in the bathrooms to wash hands , and there were 2 small towels for the bathroom shower down stairs … for 6 people. The two bath towels were also old and fraying. The dryer couldn’t handle more than 2 wet towels at a time, and for a house that sleeps 30, 1 washer and dryer didn’t cut it. The dock was a great ! Kids had a blast

Apparently you didn't read the check in information email where it clearly tells you what to bring. The floor with bedrooms 7 & 8 now has its own dual climate control system to mitigate the mildew odor associated with all of these homes that are dug deep into the side of these mountains.

Great place to stay for large groups. Had plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The pier & lake front were awesome. The covered boat parking was really nice & the slide was awesome. The shower on the bottom floor in the separate quarters was not warm. I think that the handle needs adjusted to allow more hot water to the shower. The private ramp in the neighborhood was nice but very steep with several turns. We did launch our boat there but ended up going to Sugar Hollow Marina to pull our boat out & that worked out very well. The fire pit area is a lot smaller than the photos & the area around there that is somewhat flat was really not that great for yard games due to it being rocky & somewhat muddy. Coming off the steps from the house to the fire pit area there are old stepping stones & some are broken. Ended up turning an ankle on one of them. We had an awesome time & would definitely rent there again.

WakeDreams Review

We were disappointed in the fact that 2 of the 8 bedrooms were basically uninhabitable. Our son and daughter-in-law with 2 young children were suppose to stay in the two lower bedrooms, the mildew and sewer smells were so bad that they moved out of the room in the middle of the night and slept on the couches. The next day we had to reshuffle the family around so that they had a room to sleep in. This was very inconvenient and the reason I rented 8 bedrooms was to give everyone some space. Also note, the bedroom in the loft is super small and would support two teenagers but the steps are very step for young children. Next year we will find a house with a better set-up. We loved the location but really need an 8 or 9 bedroom house.

Perfect spot!!

We will definitely be booking this for next year. Everyone had a blast! Plenty of space to spread out and plenty of catfish to be caught! Awesome awesome time!!

The dock was excellent but the house needs some tlc and the kitchen is tiny.

Overall we were disappointed with this property. The kitchen is too small for a large group and everything is pretty dated. Upon arrival the yard had trash laying all over and the fire pit was full of beer cans. I wouldn’t recommend renting this one.
