Ti diamo il benvenuto al The Ledges Resort & Marina! Siamo situati sulla St. Il fiume Lawrence di fronte al castello di Boldt. Abbiamo una vista sul castello, sul Sunken Rock Lighthouse e sul principale canale di navigazione. Abbiamo ponti, banchine, amache e gazebo. Sono fantastici per osservare la nave o pescare. Abbiamo piscina interrata recentemente rinnovata. Ci sono pozzi all'aperto dove è possibile riscaldarsi sotto le stelle. Forniamo persino legna da ardere! Ci sono molte aree a prato aperto per giocare a cattura, giochi sul prato o semplicemente fare una passeggiata.

The Ledges offre una vacanza tranquilla con 6 acri di terreno paesaggistico lungo l'acqua. Mentre i motivi offrono privacy e molto spazio, non siamo in una posizione remota. È una passeggiata facile e veloce in centro. Siamo vicini a tutte le attrazioni. Alle sporgenze hai il meglio di entrambi i mondi; relax e convenienza!

The Harbour House è una casa con 3 camere da letto e 2 bagni. In realtà è un cottage galleggiante! Se hai la tua barca o ne noleggi una puoi legarla proprio di fronte al tuo salotto! C'è un mazzo tutto intorno al cottage al piano inferiore. La camera da letto principale ha un balcone con vista sul castello di Boldt. È un ottimo posto per pescare o semplicemente rilassarsi e godersi il fiume.

Al piano superiore: la camera da letto principale ha un letto matrimoniale. Il balcone ha una vista spettacolare sul castello di Boldt e sul faro di Sunken Rock. La seconda camera da letto al piano superiore ha 2 letti matrimoniali. Il bagno al piano superiore ha una doccia stand-up.

Al piano inferiore: c'è un ampio ingresso. Questo porta alla camera da letto al piano inferiore, al bagno e al soggiorno / cucina. La camera da letto al piano di sotto ha un letto matrimoniale. Il bagno è completo di vasca e doccia. La zona giorno è combinata con la cucina. La cucina dispone di una stufa / forno full size, frigorifero / freezer full size, microonde, macchina per il caffè e lavastoviglie. Ha tutti i nuovi utensili da cucina, pentole, padelle, bicchieri e piatti. È completamente attrezzato. C'è un tavolo da pranzo con 6 posti a sedere. Il soggiorno offre una splendida vista sul fiume. Ci sono porte francesi che si aprono sul ponte. Il ponte è attrezzato con tavolo da pranzo, sedie e grill a gas.

Shampoo, balsamo e sapone per le mani di lusso sono forniti da Beekman 1802. I letti sono preparati con lenzuola fresche. Vengono forniti anche asciugamani da bagno, asciugamani e salviette.

Tutto è preparato e pronto per rendere la tua vacanza rilassante e confortevole. Basta portare te stesso!

Wonderful family vacation!

My family and I rented the Harbor House at Ledges Resort and Marina for the Memorial Day holiday. The house was very clean and fully furnished. The grounds were well maintained and we enjoyed the convenience of docking our boat right outside the house. I would recommend Ledges Resort and Marina to anyone.

Great stay on the water!

We had a great stay in this cottage, on the water, overlooking the St Lawrence Seaway! Well appointed and great host who even carried our bags to the cottage. Fun, unique experience. That home actually floats on the water in at the mouth of a protected harbor. Enjoyed the very slight rocking motion. I highly recommend!

If you are a boat or paddle sports enthusiast, then the location can't be beat. We launched our paddleboard right from the front deck of the house and enjoyed sunset and morning paddles on the St. Lawrence River around Heart Island with fantastic views of Boldt Castle.The house is on a floating dock so the exterior will have a rough marina store feel, but the inside is very well kept and beautifully decorated in a nautical theme. It is very clean and has everything you need for a long stay but we only stayed one night. The beds are very comfortable and there is good hot water and good water pressure. We had trouble starting the shower and messaged the host who responded within minutes. Turns out we did not pull on the knob hard enough. The faucets are old style but that adds to the unique feel and charm of staying on a floating house. We felt like we were staying on a luxury yacht from a bygone era.We were worried that it would be noisy near the marina but we barely heard the boats at all and our kids loved watching them and waving as they puttered by.The landscape is nice too with small rock ledges surrounded by grass for the kids to climb and play on. Just watch out for goose droppings. The pool was clean and the bonfire was a nice touch. Truly a good spot to stay with the family for a 1000 Islands vacation. This is not a Waldorf Astoria resort by any means, but it provides a unique river experience and has all the trappings of a fun family vacation.

Wonderful Getaway Weekend

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Harbor House! The house was beautiful and clean, and perfectly positioned on the water next to a marina. We loved sitting on the back deck watching the boats come in and out. There was plenty of greenspace surrounding the house to have a fire, play lawn games, run around or simply relax and enjoy the view. The pool was very well-kept and clean, and was very refreshing on such a hot weekend. Nick and Amy were excellent hosts - they were always available in an instant if we needed anything, but still gave us our privacy. They thought of everything for the house - pots, pans, utensils, toiletries, DELICIOUS coffee, and even gave us a bottle of wine for the bride-to-be. I would definitely recommend staying at any house at Ledges.

Dissapointed

The cottage and grounds were not well maintained. Many windows in the cottage glass was cracked and taped. Refrigerator was very old and the bedrooms need new mattresses. Many spiders inside of the cottage. Toilet upstairs would not flush. For the amount of money you pay these items all should be addressed. An abandoned old Mercedes parked right next to the pool. Left actually a day early. If these items were fixed I would change to four stars.

We are so sorry you were not satisfied with your stay. We work very hard to make sure our guests enjoy The Ledges. We have several upgrades already in progress for the cottage you stayed in. The master bedroom mattress has already been replaced. The other bedrooms are also getting new mattresses. The refrigerator is being replaced this fall. The 2 windows that have cracks that will be fixed in the off season. It is difficult to do a window replacement during the busy summer season because the cottage is always occupied. The toilet is functioning normally. If you had let us know about a problem while you were here we would have been happy to fix it. We also would have happily taken care of any spiders that may have snuck in during your stay. I asked if everything was ok when you checked out. You did not offer any explanation for the early departure. During your stay you never mentioned any issues to us. If you had we could have resolved them for you while you were here. As the owners of The Ledges we always make ourselves and our staff accessible to guests. We truly care about our guests experience. We are always happy to hear guest suggestions so we can improve. We appreciate your feedback.

Great Girlfriend Vacation

Six college girlfriends, over the age of sixty just had a fantastic few days in Harbor House! Basically a houseboat, yes it does rock very slightly sometimes, it is situated on a cove, with ducks, geese, herons, and beautiful boats. There are three bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The bedroom on the first floor relies on the living room wall air conditioner for coolness so a small fan for that room might help but should not be a deal breaker. The rest of the house was very cool. The house is very cozy but comfortable with tasteful furnishings and a very nice widescreen TV. But why watch television when you can sit on a wonderful deck and watch the activity on the river, including large cargo freighters. Gorgeous sunsets and glimpses of the castle. The grounds are open with fire pits and wood is provided and lovely flowers. Perfect areas for kids to play. Harbor House is not far from shops and restaurants. Nick and Amy could not be nicer or more helpful. They made this easy! We are already planning a return trip!

My sisters and I had a great time celebrating our Mom’s 70th birthday at the Leges. The Harbor House was amazing — quaint, comfortable, and well-equipped. Property was gorgeous and decorated for Fall. Highly recommend.

The cottage provided all of our needs and was in a wonderful location. We completely enjoyed our stay. The view was perfect. The amenities were Fantastic. The owners are kind and on top of all provisions. Really fantastic!

Heaven is hours away!

My wife and I couldn't have been more pleased with the property grounds or the the lodgings! And having our dog along with us just made the vacation More Family Friendly. ( Our leashed dog loved trying to chase the squirrels!!!...it gave us a workout!) The housing was immaculate and we really appreciated how cool the air conditioner and the ceiling fan made those hot humid nights so bearable. Thank you Nick and Amy for also quickly responding to ANY request we made. Will be returning for sure!!

Nicely kept property with very attentive owners

Great family vacation in super location with great views of the thousand island region. The property is very well kept, from a very clean house, to the large grounds that was great for walking the dog; nightly campfires; or heading into town (10 minute walk to Alex Bay). Our jet skis were just outside our front door, and our family really enjoyed the trip to one of the more beautiful areas of NYS. The owners were very attentive to answering questions and addressing any needs. It seemed as though someone from their staff was on the grounds available anytime. great views of the waterway!

We were there on one of the hottest weeks of the year: July 4th. The air in the living room just couldn't keep up. I loved being able to cook and hang with all of the kids and grand kids, jump in the boat and go to the different islands right from our own dock. The staff and owners are super nice, even helped us unload our truck into the cottage. We stay all over the country and have never had that kind of help. Amy is especially nice. One little issue was the sewer smell from the nearby marina but that was only the last night. Worth the stay!!!!

Great (albeit rainy!) trip

The cottage was perfect for what we were looking for. Right on the water - very quiet! I was nervous about being so close to the marina, but that was absolutely not an issue! We were able to pull our boat rental right up to the dock that was at the back door of the cottage. Could not get any more convenient! The cottage was basic, but clean and plenty of space for our family of 6!

Excellent way to experience the 1000 Islands

We had a great experience at the Ledges resort. We stayed at the waterfront cottage named the "lighthouse" , and the views could not be better. These units are located in a marina. We had fun just watching all of the beautiful boats going in/out, in addition to the sights on the St. Lawrence. We we go back to this area, we will stay here again.

Loved it, Loved it, Loved it !!!!

What a wonderful week at the Ledges. We stayed at Harbor House and being right on the water near the marina was awesome. We enjoyed sitting on the deck facing the river from morning coffee to our dinners. We even had campfires s few nights. The firewood was furnished. Great sightseeing with wildlife and boats and ships of all sizes. Beautiful sunsets over the castle. The rental had everything you would need. All rooms were comfortable. Nick and Amy were always available if you needed anything. Thoroughly enjoyed it for a sibling vacation. We did all the touristy things you would expect. Lots to do and see. Beautiful area of NYS. I would definitely recommend this location, especially the Harbor House.

Awesome place!

Absolutely loved the lighthouse on the water! It was perfect for our family of 6. Very nice nautical theme tastefully minimalistic. Has everything we needed! Fun family time by fire pits and solo time on hammocks. Dockage for our pontoon right in front of the house. Quiet and peaceful... We plan on returning to the St Lawrence river and this place is at the top of the list!

The Lighthouse at The Ledges

We enjoyed a long weekend at The Lighthouse. The accommodations were great. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable and the amenities can't be beat. From the moment we pulled in, the staff (Ainsley) was there to help us move ourselves in. Several trips were made and that was appreciated. Check in and out was seamless. We rented a boat for a day and docked it in front, again very convenient...and cool! Nights in front of a well stock fire pit, were wonderful. The Ledges is also convenient by it's proximity to Alex Bay, a nice walk or a short drive away. We vacation together each year, visiting different places around the state. We all agreed The Lighthouse was by far the nicest place we have stayed in! Nick & Amy are great hosts! Highly recommended!

great spot!

My husband and I loved Harbor House. It is clean, comfortable, and -best of all- right on the water, with a beautiful view toward the river. Loved the slight rocking of the house when the big ships went by. It is amazing to be able to dock your boat right to your house!

The Ledges-Harbor House

Beautiful place right on the water, perfect for our family gathering! Clean, beds Incredibly comfortable, hot shower, beautiful view ; close to town- 5 min drive. couldn't have been more perfect (except the rain :( We all loved being there. Highly recommend if you want a clean, cozy and comfortable place to stay!

Amazing Stay in the Bay!

My entire immediate family (9 adults and 1 toddler) all stayed at The Ledges for a end-of-summer vacation over labor day weekend. It could not have been more wonderful! The amenities were impeccable, updated, and very clean. This is definitely saying something as many places are stuck in time in the Bay (that time usually being the 80s). Every single one of us could not get over how comfortable all of the beds were. The pool was very clean and we loved that it was not over chlorinated, making it the perfect place to go swimming when we didn't feel like taking the boat out. We especially loved that we didn't need to bring our own firewood as it was always provided and stacked by the pits ready to go. Also, the harbor houses are right on a floating dock! The houses do sway a little, but nothing too crazy. This location made for amazing views of the river was very convenient when we wanted to tour Boldt Castle as it was only a 5 minute boat ride. Amazing! As for our hosts, Nick and Amy were very accommodating and always easy to reach by phone. My family and I will definitely be back!

The Ledges Resort & Marina started with my grandparents Nicholas J Schaefer and his wife Amy. They purchased the property in 1961 and made it their home. In 1963 they built a motel and named it The Ledges. They also opened a German restaurant on the property named The Old World Inn. They closed the restaurant 1982, but continued with the motel. In later years the motel was managed by my parents, Jerome and Deborah Schaefer. They expanded into the marina and cottage rental business. In 2013 after 50 years in business we made a decision as a family to close the business and tear down the motel.

In 2014 my wife and I purchased the property from my parents. We remodeled the old buildings and built brand new cottages from the ground up. We re-opened to guests in the spring of 2015. I was named after my grandfather, Nicholas, and it just so happens that my wife’s name is Amy. So, once again Nick & Amy are your hosts at the Ledges!
