Quando raggiungi la Pent House del Sol 13 al terzo piano, sarai accolto da uno spazio loft luminoso e spazioso con pavimenti in legno. Rilassati nel soggiorno con due futon pieghevoli e la libreria attrezzata pensile. Goditi i tuoi pasti nell'ampio tavolo da pranzo (può ospitare fino a 12) o usalo come la stazione più comoda per il lavoro creativo. Ma la parte migliore di questo attico è la terrazza mozzafiato. Siediti sul divano sezionale esterno e ammira comodamente l'incredibile baia della Vecchia San Juan. Puoi ammirare l'alba e il tramonto da questo punto privilegiato, nonché le navi da crociera che entrano nel porto. Cenare sotto le stelle sul tavolo da pranzo esterno (6 posti). Se ti piace cucinare, ti godrai la cucina completamente attrezzata e moderna. Quando torni a casa, stanco dopo una giornata trascorsa a esplorare l'eccitante quartiere della vecchia San Juan, la camera da letto principale climatizzata con armadi in legno e letto king size sarà lo spazio perfetto per un sonno riposante. Vieni per la vacanza dei tuoi sogni o resta per un po 'e vivi lo stile di vita dell'Old San Juan. Couldn’t beat the location for walking around old San Juan. The accommodations were just as described and the outdoor patio had great views of sunsets and mountains. Yes, the stairs are challenging, but it was known going in that we were going to have to go up four flights. Highly recommend!

Prime spot in Old San Juan - Beautiful & Central place

We had a fabulous time! It was a wonderful place to stay, comfortable, stylish and just as good if not better than the photos. Paloma was an attentive and thoughtful host, the best. It's the top floor so you do climb a number of steps but it's so worth it because the private deck on the top of the bldg is so wonderful. We spent as much time out there as we could. It is easy to walk all of old San Juan from this place. No car needed - better not to have one. Enjoy!

Great spot in Old San Juan

We had an amazing time at the penthouse. The location was ideal for what we were looking for - walkable to essentially all of Old San Juan. The terrace was a great spot to hang out, overlooking the city.

Clean and comfortable

We stayed for 3 nights. Everything as described, well stocked and very clean. The location was close to alot of restaurants and points of interest. The patio was great, felt like we were on top of the world. Great communication as well ! We even survived all those stairs!!!

Beautiful Old Town apartment

The perfect place for us in the heart of the old town. Our second stay at the apartment and we will be back again in 2025. Beautiful views across the bay from the living room and deck. Spacious and super comfortable!

Wonderful!

Paloma was a gem, great communicator! What a beautiful penthouse in a great location in Viejo San Juan. A mesmerizing view from the terrace, that comes with a four legged friend who lounges for fun and gives great company. Highly recommend a stay here, just be prepared to climb some steps, but completely worth it. Looking forward to a future visit again!

Lovely relaxing stay in old San Juan

The apartment is exactly as described and depicted in photos on the listing. Very comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the terrace every day and the views of the harbor and the historic city are fantastic. Everything is within an easy walk no need for a car. We will be back!

Perfecto!

This apartment is beautiful, clean, spacious, comfortable, with a gorgeous rooftop terrace in an absolutely perfect location. It is walkable to all of the amazing sites and shops and restaurants in Old San Juan, and also a fairly short walk to beautiful El Escambron beach. The beds are very comfortable (just the right amount of firm) and the shower/bathroom space and kitchen space are all great, with everything you will need! The owner is wonderful and very responsive. Overall, this was absolutely perfect for my two teenage daughters and me and I would most definitely stay here again!

Great Vacation

The property is as advertised. The location in Old San Juan is perfect. We found amazing treasures around our San Juan home. The stairs into the property can be a challenge in the beginning (we got used to the climb). Thank you for providing a perfect home for our vacation.

Perfect Location

We loved our stay in Old San Juan. Beautiful location, nice apartment. It has character, nice art and books, well outfitted kitchen, although we did not cook. Our only comment is that the cleaning between guests could be more thorough and there are a few minor maintenance issues, like light bulbs out and a leak in the roof and under the bathroom sink that should be attended to.

Loved this place!

My husband and I absolutely loved Paloma's apartment! We stayed a week and will definitely be going back again soon. It's in a great location ... not too busy or noisy, and only a couple of minutes' walk to reach the centre where all the hustle and bustle of Old San Juan happens. The apartment is spotless, spacious and safe as it's on the 3rd floor. The private terrace is large and great for sundowners or tanning. Paloma was really helpful and responsive too. My husband worked a bit while we were there and the space and wifi speed was good.

Lovely top floor place with great terrace and views

We really enjoyed staying at Paloma’s place. It’s in one of the best parts of Old San Juan. The terrace and views across OSJ and the bay are unparalleled. It was lovely to spend evenings on the terrace. It is also fairly quiet for OSJ, above the fray of the city. Bedroom was comfortable and quiet. Kitchen is well equipped, we actually cooked quite a few meals there. Highly recommend this place, if everyone in your party has good mobility. The stairs can be challenging, as the condo is on the third floor, and when inside, there are steps between the rooms.

Beautiful

My wife and I have stayed at over a dozen rental properties across the world and agreed that this is our favorite. It could not be more welcoming from the moment you walk in. Bit of a climb up the stairs, but your reward is a light-filled living space with those views of Old San Juan that you're looking for. It is ridiculously close to attractions like El Morro and Casa Blanca, which we visited, but honestly we spent a lot of time just reading on the expansive patio. The kitchen has everything you need, and I was in awe of the mid-century modern bookshelves and closets. Incredibly, the house is even in a rare quiet corner of Old San Juan, a street with only local traffic, so it is very peaceful. I would absolutely stay here again.

Charming apartment with artistic vibe

We had a fabulous stay in Old San Juan. The position of the apartment could not be better, & we loved sauntering through the old cobbled streets. The last flight of stairs up to the apartment are a challenge, particularly with bags. We had no problem but can imagine that peeps with young children or with mobility issues may struggle. Check in was a breeze & any questions were answered quickly. We loved hanging on the terrace & watching the cruise ships sail by, particularly at night. The apartment has an artistic vibe & an interesting layout. It’s full of character & a little quirky, in a good way! We loved it & plan to return next year.

Lovely apartment in Old San Juan

Lovely, bright and airy apartment. We came to Old San Juan for a family wedding and enjoyed having other family members come over for coffee and visiting. AC worked well in 100+ degree temperatures. Enjoyed the terrace with views of the bay. Comfy bed, nice bathroom with plenty of hot water for shower. Kitchen well equipped. Host responded right away to our questions. Quiet, yet close to everything you might need or want. We were able to walk to the church, restaurants, gelato store, grocery and pharmacy easily. Uber was quick if you wanted to go farther. Guests should be aware of the 48 stairsteps to reach the apartment and that there are multiple levels and steps within the flat. This was not a problem for us, but might be for others. There are some minor cosmetic issues with wear and tear in the kitchen(cupboard doors) but would still give it a 5 star rating. A little gem in Old San Juan.

Perfect Location in Old San Juan

We could not have been happier with our apartment in Old San Juan. It let us enjoy Old San Juan in the best possible way. We were right in the middle of the action, but on a quiet side street so at night it was peaceful. The apartment itself is the perfect blend of modern conveniences and historic charm, but the balcony is what makes this so amazing. Clear views across San Juan Bay including the governors mansion and Casa Blanca. Our hostess Paloma was great and was very responsive when we had a question. One good thing to know about this apartment is there is no onsite parking, but there is inexpensive covered parking a very short walk away. Now knowing San Juan Viejo better, I realize that would be not be the case with many other apartments, so this is really a nice feature. After spending a number of days in San Juan Viejo, I can't think of a better location for an apartment. This was everything we could have hoped for and more! thank you Paloma!!

Ready to Come Back!

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying here last week, and it was a perfect experience. The unit was unique, open, and airy, and had all of the amenities (and more) that we could have asked for. You are a 5-to-10 minute walk from anything you need in Old San Juan, from groceries to restaurants to shopping. As mentioned in other reviews, the terrace was amazing. We were able to sit and enjoy a drink while watching cruise ships and freighters go to and from the port. The views were wonderful, and you are just far enough away from the noise of Old San Juan that it is very quiet and peaceful. The bed and couches were very comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water. All of the toiletries and linens needed were available. We brought our Firestick and linked up with the in-unit wifi, having no problem watching our favorite movies and shows (because of this we can't speak to what is/isn't available in terms of cable, etc.) We did notice that the TV is a Smart TV, so safe to assume you can sign in directly to any of your on-demand services without issue. Paloma was a dream host. Her responses were quick, and her recommendations for things to see and do were fantastic! Needless to say, we will be back. Thank you, Paloma!

Five weeks in OSJ

My wife and I just finished a five week stay at Palomo’s OSJ apartment. The GOOD: 1. Very responsive host who timely addressed our questions. 2. Reliable internet as I was ‘working remotely’. 3. Spacious patio with great views. 4. Tons of space throughout the apartment for storage and comfort. 5. Located on a quiet street just two minute walk from the action. The NOT SO GOOD: 1. False advertising with the patio and next door Catedral pictures. The patio pics are at least seven years old and the Catedral pic is also probably pre-Maria. The patio bricks are not at all glossy and new looking as in the pics…they are worn, dark and deteriorated. The patio walls are not freshly painted clean white, but rather worn, dirty, flaky and in desperate need for a re-painting. The teal and red Catedral top next door is heavily faded with damages and vegetation growing…definitely does not look like the pics. The gorgeous patio pics were a huge selling point for me so I was very disappointed that they are old, misleading and not at all an accurate representation of reality. 2. No cable TV, local TV reception or smart TV. These items were not advertised, but we were surprised that a rental unit didn’t have them. The TV can simply be used for watching DVDs. 3. 48 stairs that are somewhat steep and tight to reach the unit on the top floor. They don’t have elevators, so you need to climb to reach the apartment and your view. Someone with extra pounds, bad joints or who just doesn’t want the challenge to climb up and down 48 stairs w luggage, groceries or to go for a walk might think twice about this rental. We are in our early 50s and in decent physical shape. We overall enjoyed our stay and appreciated the host Palomo. Just wanted to provide full disclosure on our review as we appreciate reading them in our searches as well.
