Riviera Messicana - Beach House

So glad to hear that your trip was fun.

We work constantly to keep the house in the best possible maintenance condition. The master bathroom shower has been repaired and the chair also repaired. I'm following up with the renter to see which mattress she thought needed replacement. The design of the house is open to help with ventilation and natural cooling. There is one bathroom that is visible from outside the bedroom it belongs to. This bath and shower are provided with privacy by means of a cafe-door at the entrance and a curtain over the sliding door at the entrance. In addition to the espresso machine in the kitchen there is a coffee percolator for making traditional drip coffee. I do not know of any pools in the area that have heating systems. The pool usually stays a few degrees warmer than the ocean just from the strength of the sun. We're always happy to hear details about other rental properties in the neighborhood and willing to adjust our prices to be competitive with the local market.

We want all of our guests to know that Casa Las Conchas does not have air conditioning. I'll check our listing to make sure that the information is as clear as possible. Our pool is maintained by the gardener Ramon. He has worked for us for many years and visits the property daily and cleans the pool on each visit. Because we are so close to the beach there are crabs and other critters that can get into the pool water. Our maid can call him any time the pool gets dirty during the day to evict crabs or other unwelcome visitors that may get into the water. There are no truly "Private Beaches" in Mexico. The Mexican constitution is clear that all beaches are public lands like a US National Park (i.e. Yellowstone). During holidays many people want to share the public space at the shore. However, there are rules about noise and cleanliness and there is a beach security patrol to enforce the rules (i.e. no camping or sleeping on the beach and only parking or driving in designated zones to reach the shore).

We don’t have AC at this time but we have decided to add a system in the near future. Double check the listing to see if it’s installed.

We indicate in our listing that the house does NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. Since this traveler,s visit the grill has been repaired. We are always working to maintain the property. Because of the location on the beach and the humidity and salt in the air this is a continuous job. Anything metal corrodes very quickly: faucets, door handles, TV & electronics, gas connections.

Todos las recamaras tienen puertas (que puede cerrar). El interior de cada recamara es abierto, sin puertas entre baño y recamara, por circulación del aire.

I'm sad to hear that the neighbors disturbed your stay at Casa Las Conchas. I will contact the owners of the house next door to let them know about this problem and try to prevent any repeat disturbances in the future. The natural ventilation of the house is enough to keep most guests (and our family) comfortable. However I'm sure that combined with noise from next door it made for and unpleasant combination.
