Beautiful house in stunning, peaceful countryside. The house was superb both in facilities and presentation with a beautiful garden with views across the rolling countryside. Peaceful location. Excellent hosts and we were made to feel very welcome. Loved everything about this property and would love to return.

We had an amazing holiday at Corsaint. The stone property remained so cool in the heatwave we experienced. The beds were very comfortable and everything you would need was there. Bill and Jenny had such helpful knowledge about the area and were always on hand if needed.The house is excellent for dogs - a fenced in garden was a must for us and lots of space inside and out. All in all a super time trying out the food and wine of the Bourgogne area. A definite recommendation and would definitely stay again if we could.

Beautifully presented property forming part of an original farmhouse. The current owners have thoughtfully converted it and live in the adjoining home. There are also other properties adjacent and opposite which can cause occasional noise from ‘comings and goings’. Our host Bill was excellent and gave a warm welcome. He also made sure we were comfortable and didn’t need anything during our stay.

Comfortable house with character

Great cottage in a lovely spot. Very peaceful with everything you need. Lovely owners live in adjoining home so are readily on hand if need be and are a wealth of helpful local knowledge.

A wonderful break in a lovely, well maintained property. We were made to feel very welcome by Bill and Jenny throughout our stay. Highly recommended.

The Farm house was comfortable and well appointed and decorated. It was16 degrees when we arrived and the Owner suggested we use the open fire which was very nice. Eventually we asked them to turn on the heating as the cold persisted. We had a very comfortable stay in an interesting and beautiful part of France. The peace and quiet, apart from the occasional happy dogs, was lovely. Fully recommend the House and the area.

Seventh Heaven in Burgundy

House was very spacious with all the mod cons but still exuded a real country feel. 2 large bedrooms, best equipped kitchen I've ever seen in a holiday home,extra fridge in the laundry and well sourced furniture just added to our pleasure . The gite is located atop a hill in the hamlet of Tivauche-le-haut. Panoramic views of the surrounding farmland and woods from the back garden only added to our enjoyment. Numerous pamphlets provided by our hosts allowed us to plan our daily trips at leisure. Would love to retire here! Congrats Jenny and Bill!

A pleasant stay despite bad weather

The house is situated in an agricultural area. The photograph gives the impression that it is a stand alone location, but the house makes part of a series of 3 clustered houses. It is a beautiful, silent area and the only thong you hear are cows or sheep. The house was clean and well equipped and it was a perfect place to stay with two couples ( early seventies ). Unfortunately the weather extremely bad and very wet !! One of the mornings my wife went done to empty the dishwasher, but on the floor was 1 cm. water. The heavy rain found its way into the house through the from door. The carper was soaked and we had job to make it dry. The open fire was lovely, but two days later just before dinner we received a second "gift " from heaven and the fight with water started again. We had help from Jenny ( Bill was om a trip ) and we survived. We think that a drainage pipe before the door is essential. Despite the weather, we had a good time there. UN BEL SOGGIORNO RILASSANTE

Un soggiorno veramente riposante in una casa tenuta benissimo, accessoriata con ogni elettrodomestico possibile e immaginabile, i padroni di casa che abitano in una porzione di casa adiacente non sono stati mai invadenti ma assai gentili… posto sperduto nella immensa campagna francese ma vicino a molte cittadine più o meno grandi e piene di fascino. Unica piccola pecca: il giardino non tenuto perfettamente (ordinato come da foto del sito)

Un séjour parfait comme on l’avait imaginé.Une belle maison, dans un hameau calme et rempli de charme.L’endroit parfait pour passer une semaine et recharger les batteries.Parfait pour rester au chaud, profiter du poêle et du calme ainsi que sa vue.

Wunderbar, ruhig und großzügig

Die Unterkunft war großartig, mit einem schönen großen Garten, einer tollen Terrasse mit einem wunderschönen Blick ins Land. Die Ferienwohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Jenny ist sehr nett und hilft gerne weiter. Schöne Ausflugsziele sind auch innerhalb einer vernünftigen Zeit erreichbar, und man kann die wunderbare Ruhe des Landleben genießen. Mit Kind und Hund, ideal!

Idealer Ausgangspunkt, um die Kirchen in Burgund zu besichtigen

Das Objekt ist tatsächlich so wie es beschrieben bzw fotografiert worden ist. Die Heizung fuktioniert! Bill und Jo sprechen englisch, so dass wir uns leicht verständigen konnten. Sie haben uns wertvolle Tipps gegeben. Von der Terrasse/Wohnzimmer hat man einen freien Blick auf das Land. In dem kleinen Dorf gibt es mehrere Hühner und Hähne. Zum Haus gehören drei Schafe und eine Ziege. Wir haben die Kirchen in Avallon, Fontenay, Autun, Montreal, Auxerre, Dijon, Beaune und Vezelay vom Haus aus besichtigt. Man fährt ca. 25 Minuten bis zur Autobahn. Auf der Rückreise haben wir Sens, Troyes und Reims besichtigt.

Fabulous place in the French countryside

Jenny and Bill really know what they are doing! They have thought of everything to make visitors' stays pleasant and welcome. The place is beautifully set up, with the best equiped kitchen! I mean really! They even have petanque boules to play out front. They provide a comprehensive set of house instructions, and there are lots of brochures and information about the Burgundy region in the house. The back garden is lovely, with a nice covered patio and table for dining al fresco. High recommended!

An amazing month's stay in Burgundy- great location and hosts!

We will fondly cherish the time we spent at Bill and Jenny’s in Tivauche. Our goal was to relax and bond as a family, and our time at Chez Higgs helped us do just that. The farmhouse is rustic, homely yet modern and well-appointed for a family. It offers access to incredible natural beauty. We loved the beautiful vistas, sunrises and sunsets that could be enjoyed from the backyard or any of the multiple local trails. It’s conveniently located 15-20 mins from notable towns and landmarks in Burgundy like Semur-en-Auxois, Epoisses, Avallon, Flavigny and many others. Bill and Jenny’s thoughtful hospitality was the icing on the cake. So in a nutshell - we highly recommend a visit to Chez Higgs!

Gorgeous location, wonderful apartment and great hosts

Bill and Jenny’s place was a perfect setting to unwind and enjoy the beautiful countryside. The charming house had everything we could have asked for: comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, plenty of storage space and the kitchen was very well outfitted. The little hamlet was always quiet and the surrounding fields were perfect for after dinner walks. A couple of nearby towns had all the supplies anyone would need. Bill is a lovely host and shared great information for day trips around the area. This was one of our favorite vacation rentals ever!

Fabulous experience!

This is a beautiful property, especially if you enjoy being away from the bustle of the city. Bill and Jenny provide a well equipped and super comfortable gite and couldn't be more accommodating. The weather turned cold for us, and the fireplace was cozy and charming. We hope to return again for a longer stay. There are many attractions close by that we didn't have time to visit.

Lovely few days in a stunning gîte

The property is beautifully decorated, with all the flair of Burgundy, and very warm and cosy for a November stay. It’s rural but still situated within easy reach of lots of Burgundy highlights, as well as being just 20 minutes drive from a TGV station. Very convenient all round and you won’t go home hungry, with all the delicious food and wine available in the area.

A Wonderful Month in Burgundy!

We just stayed in this lovely Farmhouse for a month and enjoyed it tremendously! The owners Bill & Jenny are beyond helpful, and the home is very well appointed and welcoming! We visited numerous villages, Chateaus, Abbeys and loved returning to the lovely views from the back yard of this home daily. Highly recommend!

Un gîte d'exception dans un coin de paradis

Que dire. Des propriétaires accueillants et tellement gentils. Un gîte très agréable, mieux équipé que votre maison, avec une décoration raffinée. Nous devions y rester 2 semaines, nous sommes restés 1 mois !!! Tout est dit! :-)
