La nostra cabina si trova in paradiso, sulle rive del fiume Conejos. Seduto su oltre sei acri, sicuramente ti godrai una vacanza tranquilla. Che tu abbia intenzione di uscire ed esplorare, fare escursioni, cacciare, pescare, zaino, racchette da neve, sci di fondo, motoslitta o semplicemente rilassarti, questo è il posto giusto! Ci sono così tante opportunità nella zona per ogni appassionato di outdoor, sono sicuro che tornerai. La cabina stessa è costruita a mano con tronchi solidi e offre spazio sufficiente per ospitare 8 adulti nei letti. Ci sono anche tre camere da letto, due bagni, una grande cucina e un bel soggiorno all'interno che rende così facile la sistemazione per un gruppo. C'è anche un bel ponte coperto per godersi il bel tempo sotto. Per coloro che hanno bisogno di rimanere connessi, abbiamo recentemente installato Internet in fibra veloce e affidabile nella cabina.

I missed the information concerning fishing on the river behind the cabin and all the condition to fish and increased fees. I thought those rules and regulations were totally out of line.

We do attempt to go out of our way to make it as clear as possible that there is not open fishing access on the property without hiring a guide and paying a rod fee. The information is listed within the property description which is public prior to booking. Additionally, we include this in all of the information we provide to all guests in advance of their stay. I apologize that you missed those details. For clarity for anyone else interested in booking: We do share access to our river with our neighbors, connecting nearly .5 miles of river together for some prime fishing. Due to the relationship and agreement with the neighbors, hiring a guide and paying a rod fee is required for fishing on the properties. It is fly fishing and catch and release only. Thankfully, the cabin is located in a great location, allowing quick access to other public and private stretches alike. Other nearby private stretches do require rod fees but some don't require hiring guides. Hope this helps in being as transparent as possible! -Joe and Kass

Everything about the cabin was excellent. The living room area was very roomy and comfortable. I slept in the upstairs bedroom nearest to the bathroom and the mattress was very nice. I also liked the flannel sheets. The kitchen worked out great. Our stay had some pretty bad weather. The wind kept us from enjoying your outdoor amenities. You have a great deck, fire pit, and river viewing. The only suggestion I have is easier wood stove operation. Instead of 1/4 rounds a few 1/8 rounds and some EZ firestarter packets would make building fires easier. You are right. The most efficient way to heat your cabin is the wood stove. My best friend in the first grade (1957) was Benny Montoya. I have never forgotten him.

Property is in a beautiful location and gorgeous setting. Weather was great for the week we were there. The craftmanship of the cabin is unbelievably good. Attention has been given to nearly every detail. Spent the week there with my wife and all of my grandkids (oh, and my son & his wife). My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay at Joe and Kass’s cabin. We are VRBO Premier Hosts and can truthfully say that their cabin was as advertised, very clean and neat, and comfy. Being right on the river was an added bonus. We would highly recommend them to anyone!

Beautiful property

This was our second time staying at the property and it was just as great as before! Clean, private, everything we needed for a great fall getaway. Property owners are very nice and helpful, we'll be back! Love the fact that no neighbors are near and the river is right in front of the cabin.

We have stayed at the Conejos cabin many times. This visit was excellent as usual. Cabin very comfortable and quite clean. We volunteered for the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad during the week and spent relaxing evenings sitting by the Conejos River.

We absolutely loved this cabin! We stayed for 2.5 weeks. The property is well kept with areas mowed so you can wander around. The cabin is well equipped with everything you could need. The location right on the river is awesome! We left the windows cracked at night so we could hear the sound of the river. It feels like you are very remote, but you are only 10 minutes from a grocery store, a couple of restaurants, and the Cumbres and Toltec Railroad, which is a lot of fun. We will definitely be back!!!

Kass and I are avid outdoor enthusiasts. We love spending as much time as possible at our cabin, and enjoy every moment. When not at our home or our cabin, you can find us fishing, hiking, camping, rafting across Colorado and other western states.

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

Mogote is a true jumping spot to all that Southern Colorado has to offer. It is far enough away from the hustle and bustle, that it begs for folks to come and relax.

With ample activities close by throughout the year, there is always something to do. During the warm months, the cabin is a great spot to enjoy the plentiful sunshine while:
-Fishing on miles and miles of both public and private water
-Hiking/Backpacking on endless trails to remote areas of the South San Juan Wilderness
-Hunting (Located in Colorado GMU 81, and 10 minutes from New Mexico unit 52)
-Four Wheeling

During the winter, there is no better place to stay in order to be close to:
-Snowmobiling (Cumbres Pass is ~30 minutes away and Chama, New Mexico is about 45 minutes)
-Cross County Skiing
-Snow Shoeing

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

The Conejos River offers miles and miles of public water from the cabin up toward Platoro Reservoir. There are also numerous private water locations which offer unique chances to catch some of the largest rainbow and brown trout in the state. Fly fishing is available at the cabin, but requires paying a rod fee and hiring a guide. Please let us know if you intend to fish at the property, so we can ensure availability and booking of your guide.

There are also countless hunting opportunities nearby. Being only 10 minutes from the New Mexico border, this cabin offers a great location for both Colorado and New Mexico hunters.

Other outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy beautiful cycling, hiking, backpacking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and more.
