This house was more attractive and spacious than the listing suggested. Just a few steps across a grassy lawn to reach the expansive dock that caught sun each morning and until 4 in the afternoon. Clear water for swimming and kayaking, and floating, There wasn't much boat traffic. Folks could be preparing dinner in the well-equipped kitchen while others sat right outside on the second floor deck with comfortable seating overlooking the water. Everyone reported that their bed was comfortable, and the combo of mini-splits, air conditioners and fans kept everyone cool. Alison the host was super responsive. We enjoyed the loons, ducklings, cormorants, gulls, osprey and myriad of small birds that hung out in the area, and even the family of black minks that came by. We'd love to return next year.

Great house right on the Lake!

Gorgeous house, great for a large group! Really nice deck and lovely on the lake. Perfect for skiing at Jay peak, about 30 min away.

Great stay

Tremendous to be on the lake, lots of beds to provide flexibility for guests, with a well-equipped kitchen. We cook a ton when hosting friends on trips, and pretty much every odd thing we asked about was there. Highly recommend this house for other family groups or groups of friends!

If I could give 10 stars on this property I would… It was immaculately clean… And very quiet right by the lake, communication was excellent with the host and there was no unreasonable demands for the checkout process…would definitely stay again!

Vermont lake house

Perfect property for multiple families. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions. This vacation lake home was FULLY stocked and our stay was very comfortable. Would highly recommend this property for rental.

Great house!

Alison’s house is very comfortable and spacious. There were 10 of us, ages 17+, and there was plenty of space to spread out or come together. Beds were comfortable. The lake is beautiful as is the area in general. Would definitely stay again.

Little piece of heaven

House was perfect for our group of 70 something friends. Comfortable rooms and plenty of places to spread out. We especially loved the easy access to the lake for kayaking and swimming and that the bedrooms ate away from the kitchen/living atea. Suited our range of early risers and night owls..

Friend group of women

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Clear communication with the hostess gave us easy an arrival and departure! Rooms were plentiful and we enjoyed the large dining table and kitchen! Great location, enjoyed walks on the frozen lake and easy trip into Newport! Thank you!

Wonderful home on a beautiful absolutely pristine lake

Our family reunion which included 6 adults and 5 kids ranging in age from 8-14, could not have been more pleased with this property. Good location, comfortable rooms and beds for everyone, large kitchen and dining room, 4 kayaks, many inflatables, beautiful dock as well. Very positive communication with the family's contact representative as well. Highly recommend this home for any type of larger gathering.

Family Vacation Getaway

The house was exactly as described. Plenty of space for our three families. Everything that we needed and more. Short drive to Jay Peak (under 30 mins) and the same for Canada. The owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Overall we would love to make this an annual place to visit.

Excellent house for family gathering.

What a wonderful house right on the lake. Spectacular views of the lake and sunrise. Comfortable spacious living area. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Incredibly friendly, accommodating and responsive host. All in all, could not have asked for a better place to stay for our large family gathering. Thanks again.

Perfect for large group!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Allison’s property! Gorgeous views of the lake and ample space for our large group! It is located about 25 minutes to Jay Peak which wasn’t too bad. Having young children, we will probably look for a closer residence next time. House is an older house with old appliances and outdated bathrooms — could definitely use some updates. Overall we were really happy with our stay.

Thanks you so much for your feedback and I'm pleased that you were overall happy with your stay. As a note, most of the appliances in the kitchen (refrigerator, dishwasher and trash masher) are less than 5 years old. Perhaps because they are black vs the trendy stainless steel it might make them seem older? When we replaced the appliances, we felt the black worked better with the esthetic of the house. Bathrooms are updated from the 70"s when the house was built, however, they are on our list to update again over the next couple of years. It is all a work in progress!

Great property for a family vacation

We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful lake house. With 8 adults and 5 children there were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate. The common space is very open with a beautiful dining room overlooking the lake. Various water toys for both kids and adults. Very quiet and private. Alison was a very responsive host and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this property for a summer vacation on the lake.

This is a beautiful home with every amenity necessary for a great stay. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with appliances and utensils. The cottage is roomy and very clean. The view is breathtaking from the elevated deck. The children and the adults enjoyed the easy access to the lake. The location is convenient to local grocery stores and restaurants. It was nice to have access to the garage to store our bicycles and the extra flotation devices that we brought from home. There was ample parking for our 3 vehicles and plenty of driveway room for maneuvering into and out of the driveway. Allison was attentive, answering our questions quickly and accurately. We would definitely stay here again.

Spacious lake house

Our group of 8 adults had a wonderful ski trip at this property. There is more than ample space for entertaining, cooking, and relaxing all weekend. The house is very well stocked with everything that we needed, as we have a couple chefs in our crew. The host is prompt with any issues and forthcoming with advice for the surrounding area. I’d love to come back here during the summer as the view is sensational. We’ll likely be back!

Wonderful house

What I a wonderful time my family and I had this house. Alison was great and was always available when I had any questions or concerns. The location is great. 30 min drive to jay peak. Beautiful view of the lake. Must be amazing during any season of the year. I would definitely come back. The house has a great amount of appliances, spices and supplies. I was impressed, never been in a vrbo with so many supplies. Beautiful decoration and cozy place. A huge amount of dvds and books. Thank you Alison we had a great time. I hope we can come back again,

Jay Peak Ski Trip

We had pleasure of staying at this gorgeous Vrbo property for a high school ski trip, and it exceeded all our expectations! The house was impeccably clean and clearly well cared for. It had everything we needed to feel right at home, and more. The decor was lovely, with beautiful stained glass. The fireplace was perfect for cozy evenings, and the open living space was perfect for our group to gather and relax.The kitchen was perfect— fully stocked with everything we could possibly need to prepare meals, and it had a nice, spacious layout that made cooking easy! The bedrooms were comfortable, and the house easily accommodated all of our guests without feeling crowded.It’s clear that the owners take great pride in this property, and it truly shows. The attention to detail in every room and the overall care of the house made this stay feel extra special. We’ll definitely be back — this place is an absolute gem!
