Mendocino Dunes - Dune Flower

Dune Flower è una delle quattro case conosciute come il Mendocino Coast Dunes Retreat. Il tema nautico di questa stalla-like "Guest House" inizia al di fuori e vi invita ad entrare.

Un'accogliente camera da letto e un bagno sono alla vostra sinistra, con il caminetto a gas in mezzo al salotto. La zona giorno è aperta e spaziosa, decorata in modo incantevole per farti sentire a tuo agio in spiaggia. C'�� anche una vasca idromassaggio privata.

Non c'è una cucina completa, ma l'angolo cottura offre un piccolo mini-frigo (senza freezer), un forno a microonde, un tostapane (ma nessun forno normale) e una piccola piastra calda a due fuochi in modo da poter preparare facilmente uno spuntino .

Prendi il sentiero che porta a MacKerricher State Park and Beach alla fine della strada privata. Una volta che fai il trekking (15-20 minuti) verso le dune, sarai accolto da una vista panoramica di dune incontaminate e viste sull'oceano - ottimo per passeggiate tranquille, picnic e comunione con la bellezza naturale dei tuoi dintorni. Puoi persino portare i tuoi cani, anche se è prevista una piccola tariffa notturna.

Torna a Dune di fiori e godere del fuoco-pit esterna (legna da ardere non è previsto). Questa piccola "vacanza" è perfetta per una singola persona o coppia.

È necessario contattarci per aggiungere più di un cane alla prenotazione, se consentito. $ 20 per cane, a notte. Se gli animali sono ammessi, la tariffa per il primo cane sarà inclusa nel costo totale indicato.

Note sul parcheggio: si prega di parcheggiare nell'area di parcheggio designata, nell'ultimo vialetto alla fine della strada sulla destra.

Accesso all'acqua: l'accesso alle dune incontaminate e alla spiaggia del Mackerricher State Park si trova a pochi passi dalla fine della strada privata, da una vivace camminata di 15-20 minuti, un po 'più lento attraverso le dune di sabbia per raggiungere l'oceano.

4th of July at Dune Flower in Fort Bragg

This was a wonderful property. It was very quaint, located very near sand dunes on the beach. The house was very clean and well maintained. I look forward to booking here again next year.

Dune Flower is a cozy, quiet getaway.

The house is very comfortable with beach theme decor which is very fitting because the neighborhood is so quiet, ocean surf is about all you hear!

Cozy cottage by the sea

Wonderful cottage walking distance to the dunes--every appointment and comfort available. Just a wonderful way to spend some quiet time.

My single vacation

Cabin itself was clean, a couple of cobwebs. Outside patio, chairs, windows, and skilights could have been cleaner. Futon was really uncomfortable to sit on. Marking to find cabin needs to be more clear in directions. Overall, nice for short stay.

Beautiful and quaint but not when it’s raining

The house was adorable and perfect for our relaxed little family of four and fur kids. We are easy going and really don’t need too much. With that said it was a rainy weekend and the walk from our vehicle to the house was extremely wet, socks, shoes, bottom of pants soaked. A nice little stepping stone walkway would be awesome. But unlike the rest of my family I packed rain boots and didn’t have an issue. The area was serene the hike to the beach definitely a crows mile, we didn’t ever end up making it there as the kids gave up and we turned around and ended up driving to the beach. We definitely would stay there again.

Cute place - dog friendly

This place was cute but I should have paid better attention when booking. Bed was full size. Bathroom door was a flimsy thin plastic accordion door that didn’t latch all the way…didn’t leave much to the imagination. Quite a few spiders and spiderwebs on walls and low ceiling around the bed. Also checkout was pretty early… 10 am. On a better note: fridge/freezer worked great, yard area was very nice, internet worked well, it was very quiet, they provided fans for air movement/white noise at night. Probably wouldn’t return but it wasn’t too bad.

Nice little cabin in the woods, but not a dog beach

This was a cute little place for a single or small group to stay. The location is close to 10 Mile Beach, although it requires a hike across dunes to get to the beach itself. Plan your walking route with care--some routes are better than others. I realized after the fact that dogs were not allowed on this beach, an important consideration for those staying at this dog friendly lodging. I suspect that most dog owners booking this unit are expecting a beach walk...There is a spacious lawn for dog potty breaks but no fenced-in area and all outdoor activities require a leash. The decor is a bit kitschy but the cabin is cozy and bed comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied, just be aware there is a hot plate and toaster oven instead of the full appliances. The tap water tastes great! There is a smell to the place upon arrival--a bit musty or like moth balls? It either dissipated two days in or I became used to it.

Too expensive for what was offered

I love the Fort Bragg area either camping, B/B, or the hotels at Pudding Creek. I thought this rental would be a great find, but the expense of the rental, service fee, cleaning fee, taxes, etc... was greater than what the rental is worth. The dishes and pans were dirty. The nonstick skillets could not be used due to damage. The hot plate and electric skillet were dirty and oily (the only way to cook since there is not a stove/oven). The bed, a "Queen" is more like a double. The futon was uncomfortable to sleep on since the mattress was so thin. The spa had a thick, oily tan substance around the waterline. The propane stove/heater took 24 hrs to work, we followed all the instructions. The TV/DVD/VHS was not functioning, it took 30 mins to troubleshoot the problem. Lights did not work or were burned out. No garbage tote was left to put out the trash. The screen door to the patio was stuck between the wood sliding doors so it could not be used and the slider was stuck. The instructions inside the rental did not match the rental itself (codes were wrong). The bathroom has a small toilet and shower, which for most people causes some difficulty. There is only a plastic slide partition so there is not privacy, you can hear everything, does not close correctly, and about 2" of space at the bottom. Doors, knobs, and drawers throughout rental were difficult to maneuver. We attempted to notify VaCasa, but were on hold for > 15 mins and the landline lost it's charge. No cell service at times or unreliable. The one gem, the area is quiet and secluded from the other homes. FYI, not a paved road so don't wash your car first and it is a considerable walk via the sand dunes to the beach...better to drive.

Happy to be able to travel with our dogs!

The place was nice, the skylights were covered so it wasn’t exactly as listed. There were a couple things we learned about the property right before our trip, which we would have preferred to know before going. While we booked through VRBO, Vacasa managed it which was not ideal. Once we were connected with the local property manager that was great - she was awesome.

The house is in the rear. The housing showing on the website is not the one rented!? We enjoyed our stay. It was a lot like camping.

Where is the beach.

You can’t walk to beach. Bed was smaller than a double and hard as a rock. Patio furniture was badly rusted and not inviting. TV broken no cable. Very clean but many things were worn out. Too much money for what we got.

Dune Flower

My spouse and I, along with our two dogs. stayed a couple of nights at Dune Flower cottage. We had everything we needed to prepare simple meals. It was cozy and very clean. There was a nice lawn to play with our dogs. The wifi was great so we stayed connected. There are beautiful dunes to explore behind the cottages but no dogs allowed in the dunes and it is quite a trek if you plan on getting to the beach there. Hidden Beach is just up the road and a great place to take your dogs! We had a lovely time in Fort Bragg and Mendocino. I would recommend these cottages located on a quiet lane.

Just as pictured

The home was very cute with a nice and quiet location. It was nice to have a spacious open layout. The Wi-Fi was extremely spotty and the bathroom door was a collapsible panel type, so make sure you’re comfortable with you’re staying with lol. The trek through the dunes to the private beach was just that, a trek, but it was worth it when we got there with no one else around. Extremely nice to have dishes and a full fridge/freezer plus the microwave and a toaster oven. The bedroom was pretty compact but comfortable. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay and we would come back again.

Weekend getaway

Very cute place! Looks just like the pictures. Really the only thing missing is the hot tub. Wasn’t advertised as having one, but would be nice if it was running.

Quiet bungalow on Beal lane, Fort Bragg

a small cozy well decorated place in a very quiet neighborhood. a couple of notes: only has a hot plate, no laundry appliances and toilet is very short and small. not easy for tall people to use the toilet. I like the place other than the above comments. would use again if toilet was upgraded.

Lovely cottage

Place is great! I wish the futon was more updated and the master bed could have been bigger. We had some issue with the toilet but it was manageable. Overall the place is great! We would come back again!

Life is a Beach!!

We had sunshine and we had rain and enjoyed all aspects of the beach and weather. Toured the lighthouse, did Trees of Mystery and the aquarium. Would have liked to have rented scooters, but could not find the place. An inhouse list provided by the host would be nice of things to do and GOOD restaraunts nearby, just a suggestion.
