Adorabile Cottage Block Island

Questo cottage è stato recentemente rinnovato. Ha un bel ponte con mobili da giardino per mangiare all'aperto, prendere il sole o godersi i bellissimi tramonti. Si entra dal ponte in una zona soggiorno / cucina / pranzo aperta. Molte finestre rendono questo cottage soleggiato e arioso. C'è una cucina completamente attrezzata con piano cottura, frigorifero,
forno a microonde e macchina per il caffè. C'è un divano letto, tv, wifi e tavolino e sedie per mangiare. Il bagno è a questo livello e ha un lucernario e una grande doccia piastrellata. Il letto matrimoniale è al piano inferiore con pavimenti piastrellati bianchi e 4 finestre che forniscono molta luce e aria. Questo cottage è perfetto per 2-3 persone.
Le nuove prenotazioni per la stagione successiva sono accettate a partire dal 1 ° novembre. Noleggi settimanali sono richiesti durante la stagione estiva (da fine giugno a inizio settembre). Minimo 2 notti richiesto fuori stagione.

Block island was great. Owner communication was helpful, especially about reserving car ferry early. This was the only place we have stayed where we had to rent sheets and towels.

Cute Cottage. Quiet location. Lovely deck. Nice setting. Comfortable bed. Eclectic collection of dishes and cookware- everything you will need. Drip and Keurig coffee makers. TV and internet great. Inside table has 2 chairs but you can bring in a chair from the deck if you have a 3rd person. Clothesline to dry towels a plus!However - when we arrived the cottage had not been cleaned as evidenced by potatoe chips on the floor, dirty hand towels on the bathroom floor, soiled mattress pad and unmade bed, dirty stove top and refrigerator. We had to clean the entire cottage before moving in. Sign on frig said we were to leave the place clean and leave a cleaning check list on the table. We had not received a cleaning checklist so we cleaned the entire cottage again on departure. We were also required to remove all trash and take it to the transfer stations- Charge .17/lb so have some small cash.Apparently there was some confusion with housekeeping- still unclear of process.Also be aware that you have to bring or rent all your linens including sheets and towels. I would recommend bringing mattress pads and blankets and kitchen towels as well along with hand towels. There were no paper towels, napkins or trash bags - fortunately we brought some.There are also no games - bring your entertainment.Not a place for mobility impaired folks - use caution on stairs.Had to sign a contract with host. There is a very strict rule for max of 3 people.

We sincerely apologize for the condition of the cottage upon arrival. We pride ourselves on keeping our cottages clean and neat. Housekeeping inadvertently had the wrong dates. I sincerely wished I had been notified immediately so I could have rectified the situation. This guess was compensated for her inconvenience. Guests pay for housekeeping as stated in the contract. They should never have to clean up when they arrive or leave. The cleaning checklist was for housekeeping not the guests.Linens and towels are not provided as clearly stated in the contract and on the website. You may bring your own or rent them from the housekeeper. Paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, and kitchen towels are initially provided by the housekeeper upon your arrival. All guests are required to sign a contract prior to their arrival.

Great location on Block.

We enjoyed our stay at the Foc'sle. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped and in a great location. It had been about 39 years since I was last on Block Island. It was a great stay!

The cottage is located in a fantastic location. We enjoyed being near a pond and even took a few casts. The host was super nice and kept in touch frequently, sharing all the important details before the trip. Bringing our car was a must since it's a bit tucked away from the main part of town, but honestly, I really liked that. We had a great stay and would definitely come back!

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful time at Karen’s cottage. The location was great and the grounds were peaceful. It was a perfect place for my husband, young daughter and I for a long weekend. We hope to come back again soon.

Wonderful getaway

My wife and I had a great stay with our baby at Karen and Glenn’s adorable cottage. Such a relaxing and magical setting in a quiet and peaceful part of Block Island but still walking distance from New Harbor. We loved being right next to the pond and our baby enjoyed lying on a blanket in front of it watching the little turtles swim around.

Great location. Close to restaurants and water sports. Beautiful deck. Would be a bit tight if the weather wasn’t good, but we had a perfect summer stay!

Perfect spot for a relaxing getaway

Great little cottage with views of the pond and ocean from the deck. 10 minute bike ride to great beaches, restaurants and the center of town. Very simple, but has everything you need for a cozy stay.

Lovely little place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the Foc'sle cottage. It's well equipped, we found everything we needed in the kitchen. The cottage is optimally positioned on the property as well as perfectly located on the island. Not too far from town.

Great little spot on a great little island

I believe this was our 4th time staying here and we already booked for next year. Perfect spot for 2 people. Small but cozy. Very good location on the island. Close to The Oar. The deck is a nice spot to relax after a day at the beach or hiking trails.
