Beautiful view & worth the steps down to the property. One of the trails goes right by the house, so it was fun to see everyone walking. Walk in each direction from the house for fantastic views!

This apartment was absolutely perfect for us. We wanted to explore the villages but also stay out of the crowded areas. It was a great retreat after a day in the villages but you could also hike right from the house to the town of Volastra and there is a wine bar along the hike! You can also hike to the villages. Our favorite village was Corniglia which is a 15 minute drive from the house. The roads are very narrow. The views are spectacular! There is no internet but we brought our Starlink and it worked great! At night it was so peaceful and you could see the villages light up! There are about 80 steps down to get to the house but it is worth the effort. We had a car so I am not sure how you would get to the home without a car but there is a bus stop in Volastra. The house did not have many supplies like paper towels, dish soap or dish towels so you may have to buy some before arriving. I will definitely return to this rental.

Simply Amazing !

What a beautiful place tucked in the mountains… it is 1km north of Volastra. The place has everything you need and a espectacular view. I would absolutely stay there again if we are back in cinque Terre! Lovely place!

This is a very nice appartment located in a phantastic area. All rooms were clean and pleasently furnished. From here you can reach the whole 5 Terre very good. Great Shopping you can made in the beautiful City of La Spezia. We would like to do here holidays again.

Perfect choice, Amazing property and hosts!

This has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. Lovely, updated and comfortable apartment in an historic home with the most breathtaking views you can imagine. The property is located conveniently in the middle of the five villages, and is an easy walk to one of them. The hosts could not have been more welcoming and gracious, I wish that I could have stayed so much longer!

This was our second stay at this lovely place. An ideal base for hiking all the upper trails, well equipped for cooking, comfortable bed, cozy yet spacious, and that million-dollar view from the upstairs balcony... We loved everything about it! Caveats: there's no WiFi, so if you are attached to your phone, that may be a problem. And a car is a necessity, even if only for initial grocery shopping. It's a solid 20-minute walk to Volastra and closer to an hour of steep descent down to Corniglia, so there's no popping out for a quick espresso.

Stunning view

Best view in Cinque Terre! We had espresso in the mornings and wine in the evenings on the balcony. Clean, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Great space for 2 adults and 2 teens. It is a little remote, but easy 20 min walk to Volastra or catch the bus outfront 4 times a day. Highly recommend. The trail between Volastra/Manarola to Corniglia goes through the beautiful back yard.

Lovely apartment in a perfect location to explore Cinque Terre

We had a great stay at this lovely and clean apartment with beautiful views over Cinque Terre. The cozy apartment was perfect for our family of four for four nights in one of the most beautiful places in Italy. It was a perfect spot for hiking and driving to nearby towns, though the hike back up was tough at the end of the day. The house was set up for cooking, with some essentials left over from others (oil, sugar, salt, etc.), and so we made some meals at home. Barbara was helpful and responsive, making us feel welcome from the start.

It was difficult to find. Directions were not explicit. Without a car the location made it difficult to enjoy the local villages after dark as we had to travel on part of the trail network to leave and then reach the property everyday. However the view was amazing and the property was very convenient to the trails.

Remigiu is a place of immense beauty and rugged tranquility. As with anything this enjoyable there is an amount of effort to be able to experience it.Whatever you may be thinking after parking on the road to begin your walk down to the “Place”With luggage in tow you will be rewarded beyond any expectations as you rest and unwind on the terrace while the scent of Jasmine and Hydrangea envelope your nose.As the church bell tolls from Corniglia in the town perched perfectly below in view, you begin to appreciate the blessing of being able to enjoy this place I call heaven on earth!!I promise if you give this place a chance you will be forever enriched with memories of a lifetime!

Lovely area

Our family of 5 really enjoyed this home. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of the Cinque Terre towns, but close enough to walk to a couple of them. There’s a small town about a 10-minute walk along the trail that goes by the home, but there are sharp drop-offs, so it might now be great for families with toddlers. We did a lot of walking while here and you need to know that if you walk to any of the Cinque Terre towns, you have to walk back UP. We are in good shape, but the 1,000 ft climb back up to the house takes some energy! There was a heat wave while we were there, so it was important to carry water with you. There are public fountains where you can fill your bottle up. The back porch of the home has WONDERFUL sunset views every night and was definitely the highlight of our stay there. Absolutely beautiful and we’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

A view worth the effort

The most outstanding feature of Remigiu is the spectacular view of the Cinque Terre coast and villages. However, to get there, you have to walk down 89 (we counted) stony steps. The other approach is a rocky trail 25 minutes from the village Volastra. We found that both were part of the experience of our stay. There is good bus service from the village to Manarola where you can get the train or ferry to all the other Cinque Terre villages. The property description said (and continues to say) that there is wi-fi connection. There was not any during our stay. That could have been a temporary problem, but it was a disappointment because we couldn't share our wonderful visit and pictures with friends until we left. The kitchen didn't really ae enough glasses and mugs for the number of people who could stay there. And, surprisingly, no wine glasses. We really also needed a small sharp knife. But the view made up for everything.

Dearest Mrs. Shelby, thank You very much for Your appreciation, I am glad that You have lived the experience with the territory to the full, with its particularities. I immediately checked the description of the property to verify that there was no wifi connection (perhaps by mistake) but we did not include it and the corresponding box is not marked. I say this because I am sorry for the moment not to offer this service, which can be very useful, but this depends on the telephone line that passes from the property which, being obsolete, does not offer an efficient service. We have a smaller apartment in the village of Volastra where we provide the wi fi free service but for the same reasons are more times that the line is malfunctioning. As soon as we have a renewed line, we will request a wi fi connection (we have already reported the problem several times). As for the glasses we had put them but evidently they were broken and we didn't check it (I will buy new ones). For any other need my mother-in-law lives below the apartment and even if she doesn't speak English she manages to make herself understood (You can ask her, if necessary she will let me know). I still thank You for Your help and wish You a good continuation of Your travels and a happy return home.

Spectacular location and exceptional hosts. I will try to describe our amazing experience here. 10-15 walk outside Vernazza, right on the walking path between Manarola and Corniglia. With a car you park at the top and walk the steps down to the house. The view- can’t be beat. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony in the morning with our coffee and at night with our wine. The house is well equipped and although we didn’t cook in the kitchen, it had a stovetop espresso maker which was perfect for us. We walked to manarola and back one day, next day walked to corniglia and then the train to the other 3 villages (2 couples- 50-65 years old) We had some rain but we still enjoyed our first visit to the region. Our visit was enhanced even more by the warm hospitality by the owner and her daughter that live below. She came up to get rid of a bees nest under the gutter on our balcony. Afterwards they gave us a tour of their hillside gardens and tasted so many delicious fruits and veggies. We returned with a basket full, including figs- our favorite! Thanks to her daughter and google translate we were able to overcome the language barrier. She invited us back for dinner and made us the best pesto, focaccia and dessert. A true Ligurian culinary delight! Their kindness and generosity were the highlight of our trip and will never be forgotten. We truly felt like family

The view is the main selling point

We saw nicer places on the website of the company that rents out this place The apartment is located on the side of the hill. You park on a narrow strip on the side of the road and have to take quite some stairs down to the apartment itself. It is not located in Riomaggiore as the name suggested but 15-20 drive away. There was no one to great us, but we received a pdf with instructions via WhatsApp wit a video on where to go and the code for the keylocker outside. The people that lived below did not speak English, and we were only informed about where to put the trash even after asking during the week. (required a key which we got on the last evening) We found the apartment to be below expectation in cleanliness, especially the kitchen. Also, the furniture was outdated and the balcony furniture was a joke. Also, there is no internet, and the satellite TV is not working. The garden is not adjecant to the apartment, but under it so you have to close the door if you want to sit there because the door. Is on a walk path between the villages so lots of hikers pass it. Pros: the view and the airconditioning.

A beautiful place with a million dollar view!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful place with the million dollar view! Watching the gorgeous sunset from the balcony was just wonderful! The property is well maintained, the family is so kind, and the apartment is very nice. We would stay here again for sure!! The Cinque Terre trail runs right through the backyard, making it very convenient. It is a 15 minute trail walk from the house to Volastra where you can catch the bus to go into Manarola, which is the closest town. In Manarola, you can access the regional train system to take you to each of the towns. I would recommend getting a Cinque Terre day pass card (14 euros each) if you plan to spend time going from town to town. Otherwise, it is 4 euros each time you get on the train. The pass is well worth the money and you get to see all of the towns. Of course, you can also walk all or some of the trails, which we did. It is important to note that the day pass card is only good for the day that you purchased it (not for a 24 hour period). Since there is a 15 minute walk on the trail to get to the house after you get off the bus, it is important to make sure you head back in daylight otherwise you would be walking on the trails in the dark, which we didn't want to try. We took a taxi twice from Manarola to the house when we got back after dark. The cost was 25 euros one way (there were four of us, not sure if the number of people matters). Our driver was wonderful! This is a great place to stay!

Vista panoramica

Appartamento molto grande e ben attrezzato con terrazza panoramica con splendida vista mare. Proprietari disponibili e gentili. Ringraziamo la Signora che ci ha offerto pomodori e susine del suo orto, molto squisiti. Posizione comoda per visitare tutte le 5 terre. Unico neo: faticosa scalinata per il trasporto dei bagagli, ma anche questo fa parte della caratteristica del luogo.

Très bel appartement tout confort pour 4 idéalement placé

Nous venons de passer 8 jours dans l'appartement de Laura. Il correspond tout à fait à notre recherche, à savoir idéalement placé au coeur des 5 Terres, avec le chemin de randonnée qui passe au pied de l'appartement. L'appartement est très confortable, avec une superbe vue sur la mer. Il est situé au dessus de la maison de la belle-mère de Laura, ce qui est rassurant pour tout problème du quotidien (nous avons eu la batterie de la voiture à plat et étions ravis d'avoir de l'aide). A noter que nous avons reçu un très bon accueil de Laura et de toute la famille. Quelques petites informations qui peuvent être utiles : - l'appartement n'est pas "facilement" accessible depuis la voiture (de nombreuses marches à grimper), ce qui peut être gênant pour certains - il n'y a aucun commerce en proximité immédiate, mais Volastra se situe à 10 min à pied (il faut oublier la voiture dans cette région et privilégier marche et transports en commun) - le supermarché le plus proche est à La Spezia (mais supérettes dans les petits villages) Nous avons passé une superbe semaine, et avons marché environ 100 kms avec nos deux filles de 8 et 6 ans, dans de merveilleux paysages. Le soleil et la mer étaient au rendez vous, et la qualité de vie italienne aussi. Bref SUPER ! Arnaud

Perfect stay!

This is a lovely, spotless, well-maintained apartment. We were two couples the first week and one couple the second, and it worked great for both. It would also be ideal for a family of 3 or 4, since one of the bedrooms has two single beds. The kitchen area is small but well-supplied with the essentials for cooking, as well as a lovely espresso machine! No microwave, but we didn't miss it. It was a little too chilly to take full advantage of the beautiful balcony, but what a great amenity - and the views from every room are truly magnificent. The owner, Laura, was welcoming and helpful, and very accommodating of our after-dark arrival. Rina, Laura's mother-in-law, lives downstairs and is a delight. The only caveat: I would not recommend this home to anyone with physical limitations, since it is a solid10-minute walk from Volastra and a steep 45-minute climb from either Manarola or Corniglia, and even reaching the home from the road where you can park your car involves quite a few steep stairs. Since we were there to hike, it suited us just fine. I would stay here again in a heartbeat - best vacation we've ever had. Molto grazie, Laura!

Vista mozzafiato

Abbiamo perlustrato le cinque terre in lungo e largo. Grandi passeggiate, Lerici posto incantevole, Portovenere una favola. Ma ogni volta che rientravamo a casa, ci dicevamo ma é qui il posto migliore. Una vista mozzafiato, un appartamento in perfetto stato. Bello e funzionale, non mancava niente e i padroni di casa , Rina in testa, gentilissimi e pronti a tutto. Ah e l'orto do Rina... che pummarola ci siamo fatti con i suoi pomodorini! Grazie per questa bella vacanza !

Gentilissimi ospiti, grazie! Non trovo più parole che suonino originali per cui mi limito a dirvi un semplice grazie di cuore per il Vostro apprezzamento.
