Thank you for coming. It was a pleasure talking with you. Sorry our cabin didn’t meet your expectations. It’s curious that our guests who come to that specific cabin, year after year, don’t mention the criticisms you did. To each his own, as my mom would say! Come try our newer waterfront suites!

It’s unfortunate your cell phone would not work here in the woods. Adirondack mountains have extremely limited cell service. Cabins advertised as in the woods, most likely will not have cell phone service. Our WiFi is listed as a communal WiFi porch, a sho walk down the driveway. Had I known in advance you required 24/7 contact with work, I would have encouraged you to rent one of our suites with wifi. There is a difference between outdated and an authentic old fashioned Adirondack cabin. I am sorry you couldn’t take time off, unplug and enjoy the serenity of our woods,

We are glad you liked our quiet, waterfront location. Sorry your daughter couldn’t work inside the cabin and had to leave early. All of the cabins have a short walk to the car from their parking space to preserve the woods rather than creating a motel atmosphere! Yes, the bathroom is tiny! Shower stall, sink and toilet! Not sure why you think the fixtures are incorrectly installed though! Swimming is available in Lake Kiwassa a few paddle strokes from the dock!

Glad to hear that your cabin was clean for your arrival. I can honestly say, we try to ensure the comfort of our guests. If we are informed of discomfort during a guests’ stay, we can help! To help reiterate this point, we personally escort each guest to their cabin at check-in, and ask that they please let us know if there is anything at all they need during their stay. Understanding certain grievances after the fact leaves us at a disadvantage to reconcile things like mattress comfort and lighting. - In regards to mattress comfort, it’s very subjective which is why it takes most couples more than just a couple of hours to pick one out at the mattress store. Yes, platform beds can be firm! Believe it or not, we have extras for these instances (to help suit comfort levels). Had we known, we would’ve accommodated with a softer mattress. - In regards to lighting, we also have extra lamps/lights. Believe it or not, some of our guests appreciate the soft light that the propane lights put out and they supplement the light, as needed, by moving the goose neck standing lamps to spotlight the area they are working in!
