Wonderful place for stay in West Hollywood

The location was great for a stay in West Hollywood-near but not in the middle of all activities, making it very quiet. The guest house had everything you needed for a relaxing stay. Sallie was wonderful host.

Fantastic hippie Chic house!

Absolutely loved my stay in Sallies guest house, so peaceful and relaxing and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to be centrally located but also very close to main attractions! Sallie is super friendly and the house was beutifully decorated with a lovely outdoor courtyard for relaxing in the sun..

Artistic Oasis

Calm & creativity with access to anything you want to see in LA. We were so glad to have a quiet, spacious place to return to. All the amenities and ambience were appreciated by my husband, seven year old daughter, and 73 year old mother....and me!

It was wonderful having you here and we love it when guests use the garden, BBQ, outdoor dining, as you did, as being outside, night or day, is much of what being in SoCal is all about.

Wonderful guest home!

We spent three months as Sallie's guests, mid August to mid November , 2016. The location was perfect for all we wanted to do during our stay. The guest house was clean and comfortable, with all of the amenities we needed. Sallie was the perfect hostess! We are happy to say we have remained friends with this lovely lady.

My daughter and I enjoyed our time in LA. The house was Very nice. It provided us with everything we needed while were were there. Sallie was very kind. Thank you!!

Excellent Location - Everything you Need

Glad I found this place! Very reasonably priced, and there actually was ample street parking on Sallie's street. You've got options for walking to, and if you don't want to walk, it's a short Uber to just about anywhere in Hollywood. The place is very comfortable, and has everything you need.

Better than home

I've traveled a lot and in stayed in many places in SoCal and I do have to say this is my favorite in LA. The pictures do not do it justice -it's plenty of room, plenty of light - everything that anybody could ever want!! Last but not least Sallie is a fantastic host!!

great place for main attractions

this is a very roomy, comfortable and high scale finished property. We stayed as a family of 5, and enjoyed. All needed facilities, including nice beds, well equipped kitchen, and laundry are available. the location is very close to main Hollywood attractions and universal studios, yet in a side quite street without parking issues. The hostess was very nice, and easy to communicate with. Pls, the prices was more than reasonable! (we stayed for 6 nights) highly recomended

Such an amazing home away from home right in the heart of Hollywood !

Ms. Sallie is truly an amazing host! She was able to accommodate my family and I with less than 24 hours notice. Her home felt like home away from home all while being in the heart of Hollywood. Pictures don't do this place justice. Had great wifi connection which was useful to complete Graduate assignments. FREE Parking was a breeze each night regardless of the time! I was able to park right in front of the home. Ms. Sallie was super sweet and greeted us upon arrival. Great amenities available such as snacks and an on site washer and dryer that were easily accessible and available. This is Such a beautiful and quiet place to stay, no LA noise!. Loved every single minute of my stay. My family and I cannot wait to return ! Thank you for an amazing experience!!!!! :) Ms. Sallie deserves more than 5 stars!!

Gaby's and family members were all so wonderful and great to have as guests. I was honored to have them stay here. Knowing they were returning to Los Angeles after having been residents here (almost 20 years ago!) and that they picked my guesthouse to stay in was very flattering. They deserve more than 5 stars too!

Renting Sallie's guest house was the best decision of the trip!

My husband, 3 children (ages 10-13), and I stayed at Sallie's on our much anticipated family trip to LA. We originally had a hotel booked for the week, but as our trip came closer I decided to check into renting a house and decided on Sallie's - it was the best decision we made! Sallie could not have been nicer to deal with in the days leading up to our trip, and was so welcoming upon our arrival. The house is located behind a large, locked gate, and once you walk through the gate you feel like you've entered a little oasis! Her guesthouse was a perfect spot for our family and provided so much more space, charm, and relaxation than a hotel ever could have provided. There was plenty of space, it was spotlessly clean, and the decor was warm and inviting. The extra little bedroom was a perfect spot for our youngest and he loved having his own room. Sallie's home is on the same property and she was so accessible for questions. The home is in a very safe and charming area, and we easily walked for groceries and donuts (we are all missing those Yum Yum Donuts!) The location is central to everything we did and getting around was very easy. We had a large vehicle (Suburban) and we easily found street parking on Sallie's block each day. Sallie could not have been nicer and even brought out her tubs of legos from when her son was little for my son to play with! It was so nice to have access to a washer and dryer and made it so much easier to pack for a week-long trip with 3 kids. We were all so sad to leave! If we get back to LA, we definitely want to return to Sallie's Best Guesthouse!

Sallie’s best is truly the best.

Had a great stay from beginning to end. Our host was amazing and the place had an excellent vibe! Was more than pleased with the indoor and outdoor spaces and the quietness of the neighborhood. Would definitely stay there again.

Another great stay at Sallie's Best

This is my second stay at Sallie's. It's a wonderful location -- snuggled into a back yard in the heart of Hollywood. It's safe and quiet and everything you'll need is there. Sallie is a great host. I'll be back.

Sallie's BEST is aptly named

Sallie's BEST Guesthouse is aptly named. It is a large studio with everything one could want. As an older, single woman traveler, cleanliness and security are critical to me. Sallie's offered a wonderful secure environment in a great location. The apartment looks just like the photos. It's located behind a house and behind a locked gate in a shady yard. The location is wonderful --in the center of everything and very navigable. Sallie was very attentive and helped with any questions. I've stayed at a lot of VRBOs, and Sallie's is BEST.

A fantastic little place to stay at, central to most things in Hollywood, great atmosphere and cozy.

Everything about this place was perfect for my stay there with 2 roommates. Kitchen, laundry, spacious room, privacy, it was everything we needed and hoped for. Sallie has been such a great host, attending to our needs and always pleasant to be around.

Great stay!

Sallie's place was everything we could have asked for and more. The property itself is well-maintained and tastefully decorated, and the kitchen is fully stocked as well, which I appreciated. We greatly enjoyed using the outdoor fire pit as well. Overall, I would definitely consider staying at Sallie's again.

Excellent rental

Perfect location for vacationing/sight seeing the Hollywood / LA area. Would absolutely stay here again and even amend my travel plans to match availability. Sallie is great. Truly enjoyed our stay. The guest house is complete with everything you can possibly need. Very clean and spacious.

Our stay at Sallie's BEST Guesthouse

We enjoyed our stay. Sallie was there when we arrived, and she was very personable. A few of the lights and fans were not working properly, and Sallie quickly addressed the problem. She was also quick to respond whenever I texted her. The guesthouse is a nice size and very quiet. It was hot in LA when we were there, and the A/C in the guesthouse worked great. The extra bedroom provided ample space to hang up all our clothes, as well as lots of hangers. There is a large size TV, and a large kitchen. The bathroom has good lighting for putting on makeup, and there is a wide shelf on the tub/shower where we could put all our toiletries and hair products.

THE place to stay in LA!

I just returned from a four day stay at Sallie’s best. The description and reviews were excellent, but I really think there should be more stars available!! The property itself is awesome. If you are looking for Hollywood glitz and posh accommodations, this is maybe not the best choice. If you are looking for a very cool / bohemian chic / convenient home base - you absolutely will not find a better location. Beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen is perfect if you plan on making a few meals. The home itself is just wonderful. We rented a car and had absolutely no problem parking within steps of the home every day. The neighborhood is very cool and safe and incredibly convenient to all of the major shopping and tourist destinations. Above all, communication with Sallie was exceptional. Our stay was wonderful, I just wish we could have stayed there longer. Book your stay - you will be very pleased that you did!!

Perfect Hollywood Bungalow!

Stayed here with my daughter and her friend and couldn't ask for better! Walking distance to great restaurants, Hollywood Blvd., Melrose Ave., and a short ride to Beverly Hills, Venice and Santa Monica beaches. Sallie was wonderful and full of information about the locale and things to do. The guest house itself was perfect for the three of us and had all the amenities one could wish for. I loved the courtyard and the quiet, convenient location. We are already planning our return!

A Delight

We loved everything about Sallie's place. It's in a beautiful quiet neighborhood right in the heart of Hollywood, with a gorgeous courtyard and a gas fire pit. The place is spacious and comfortable, and Sallie was a delight as a host. I've stayed in a lot of vacation rental houses in L.A. and this is by far my favorite.
