Great trip

We were in town for a wedding/family reunion. The property was perfect for our needs. We had the 3 bedroom and my in laws had the 4 bedroom. Housekeeping was there every day to clean and replenish everything. The room even came with dish soap and laundry detergent. Very convenient to be able to wash clothes when you wanted to. There’s a Walmart down the street and restaurants we’re close by. They provided dishes and cookware. Spacious rooms with privacy for everyone. Property was clean. Didn’t use any amenities as we went to the parks daily. But it was so nice to come back to the resort instead of a hotel. I’d recommend the facility.

We rented a 3 bedroom unit for a family reunion vacation. The unit was nothing like the pictures.

We rented a 3 bedroom unit for a family reunion vacation, but unit was nothing like the pictures posted. For starters after 7 pm parking near your unit is almost impossible, so you would have to park in the garage which is near the main building but far from all other buildings. Lots of amenities but you can't walk to them, if you drive you lose your parking space. Staff is super unice, but can not help with anything. We asked about what services came with the rental but no clear direction of cleaning and supplies. Stayed 8 days and everyday a different person, so for example we would get a lot of soap but no trash bags. We were not told that laundry soap was included, so we bought some and so on. Could not use pots and pans because everythinhg would stick to them. And they dont give you anything to scrub with. So we stopped cooking. The worst part is that the pictures posted did not reflect the unit we were in, pictures posted were of a newer unit , which they have, but our unit was very old, I would estimate 25 to 30 yrs old, and very dirty. Not from new dirt, but from old neglected dirt that has been accumulating for years, and from things that should be cleaned weekly, like the base boards, black mold, cabinet surface, grout, floor tiles, appliances and carpet, and i could go on and on. Just because something is old it dose not have to be dirty. The kitchen items that were plastic, like dish tray, coffee maker and utensil tray, we're so old and dirty we did not use them. The formica cabints were white but due to neglect, now yellowish not to mention some were broken. The stove was 30 years old "Magic Chef" oven did not work, burners were the spiral kind, and were not even and very lose and rusty. Base boards were filthy, grout line on floor tiles was full of trapped old dirt from years past. Bathrooms had black mold due to neglect for detail. And shower heads were so cheap that they would spray all over the place, so showering was a mission. I requested a change of room and explain the situation, but manager said no. So if your considering Westgate make sure you ask when was the unit remodeled. Oh yes after our stay we contacted the booking agent explained what happened and that we had requested the room change from resort manager and they said that we should of contacted them, even though we had no communication from them before or during our stay. Would of been nice to know that if we needed anything we should of contacted them first

Beautiful facility, some administrative snafus

The facility was clean, neat and the staff helpful. Check in was easy and everyone pleasant and professional. We registered for five nights, unfortunately on the fourth morning the cleaning staff was removing our belongings from the rental unit. Apparently there was a miscommunication between the online rental group and the facility. It was remedied. A beautiful pool area but loud music blasted all day until 10 pm, which made peaceful enjoyment of the screened porch difficult. Even watching TV was drowned out by the noise. The spa was nice and the staff friendly and professional. I like the fact that everything was on site so it didn't require constant trips to the store. I have recommended it to friends because of the size and quality of the units, and the professionalism of the staff. It is a much better value than a hotel.

Great Amenities/Some Problems

Property has great amenities, particularly for families. You are not renting a 3 bedroom villa but a 1 BR and adjoining 2 BR extended stay hotel suites with all their accompanying rules and regulations such as an early checkout time. That said units were spacious and clean. Only issue was back mold around shower doors. Only major concern was internet: first they tried to charge $10 per day but begrudgingly waived it. We then found out we could only use one device and speed were barely above dialup. Point being, if you need internet access for say work, look elsewhere.

Fantastic place to stay, amazing value!

This resort was phenomenal! Our unit was spacious and clean, there was so much to do on site! Just STAY AWAY from the 'free breakfast' meeting they offer. They will try and suck you in to buy a timeshare and waste hours of your day. Just say no to that meeting. The pools were fabulous. Out of all of our travels, this resort ranked among the top. Anytime we need to book a place in the future, I'll be looking for a westgate!

Great Deal!

We booked the 3 bedroom Villa for 3 days and 2 nights, we checked in and everything was already set up at the front desk, although it was through a third party. We got to the Villa everything was nice and clean. We had fresh towels and everything was clean and in it's place. The hotel had many amenities we got to use and take advantage of. We were also just minutes away from other attractions just in case we wanted to step out of the resort, although there was no need to for some of us. We will definitely book again for our next stay in Orlando!

Halloween Horror Nights

loved the property. we were 2 couples and got a 3 bedroom because we thought we were going to be 3 couples. the condo was super spacious...well appointed and maintained. I will use them again next year as my first choice. One complaint is parking. there are a lot of spots early in the day but the later it gets the more difficult it is to find a spot. I found out as we were leaving that they built a parking garage for those times when you cannot find a spot so now i know for next time. still we had an awesome time and the staff was friendly. Westgate Lakes Resort

We had a great time. Our unit was very attractive, neat and equipped. We had a beautiful lake view. We were glad they had golf carts that would pick is up and take us to different destinations on the resort ad some of them were pretty far away. It was very convenient to the parks we went to. Definitely would stay here again.
