The seaweed is naturally in the sea but hard to predict when it will wash ashore. The beach cleaners do their best to maintain a nice beach. Thanks so much for your feedback, Erica! We take all of the feedback very seriously and we will be reviewing the unit thoroughly to make sure the appliances and bedding are all in a good condition. We always encourage guests to reach out to us with any issues during the stay so we can assist right away. Had we known the TV wasn't connecting we would've repaired the issue right away or replaced the TV during your stay. Our photos are indeed of the beach in front. However, during the sargasso season, the beach can be covered by the seaweed. The community has just purchased a seaweed barrier which will be installed in the spring of 2023 and hopefully keep our beaches clean and pristine. The abandoned house next door doesn't have any squatters in there as there's security present during the night time and there are people staying at the property by the road. September is a maintenance month on the bay so there might have been a few construction materials by the road. However, the exterior areas are otherwise very well maintained and organized. The property doesn't have or advertise an elevator as they are hard to maintain in this area. We always strive to assure our guests have a wonderful stay in Akumal and we wish you would've brought these things up during your stay so we could've assisted on the spot. We'll be reviewing the condo and replacing the recommended items to make sure the property retains our standards and guest experience. Happy travels! :)
