Cottage # 2 è uno dei 6 cottage di famiglia di proprietà e gestiti da di Robinson Cottages in Edmunds Township, nel Maine. Si trova nella regione del Maine Downeast e si affaccia sul fiume Dennys.

Costruito nel 1945, con aggiunte nei primi anni '50, questo cottage al livello dispone di un camino in pietra di campo e stufa a legna per il calore. Il cottage dispone di una cucina completamente attrezzata, soggiorno, zona pranzo e bagno con doccia. Ci sono due camere da letto ciascuna con 2 letti singoli. All'esterno c'è una veranda protetta che si affaccia sul fiume a gli strappi, una griglia a carbone e tavolo da picnic. Si prega di notare, Wi-Fi non è disponibile in questo cottage.

Gli ospiti sono forniti con il legno in omaggio per il camino e stufa a legna. Le canoe e barche si trovano sullo stagno e il fiume sono liberi di utilizzare e giubbotti di salvataggio sono forniti in ufficio.

Il casolare si trova a poche centinaia di iarde dal multi-uso di Down East Sunrise Trail. Diamo il benvenuto agli utenti di ATV ed escursionisti; e gli altri ospiti sono in grado di utilizzare la pista pure.

Il casolare si trova a circa 20 miglia dalle città costiere di Eastport e Lubec e St. Stefano e Campobello Island, New Brunswick, Canada.

Best location

On the river, with a perfect view from the very comfortable screened in porch. Very private, with the falls just below the front of the camp. There was a fireplace, a wood stove and an outdoor firepit. No charge for good dry wood, no charge to use canoes and kayaks. Who does that anymore? Thank you.

Ideal rustic cabin

This little gem is completely private, away from the other cabins. It sits by a small river which tumbles over rocks right outside the bedroom windows. The stone fireplace is impressive! It is well equipped yet has the feel of an old Maine cabin. (which it is, built in 1942) We locked ourselves out and the owner was great. If you are looking for the real thing in the way of a rustic but comfortable old cabin in a beautiful setting, you won't be disappointed. By the way it is only about 20 minutes from Eastport.

Beautiful setting in Northern Maine. The check in was super easy. We arrived to a spotless cabin with windows and door open allowing refreshing, pine smelling air into the cabin. The setting couldn't be more beautiful with the cabin nestled in the trees with a river running through the back. Hearing the stream at night through the windows was super relaxing. The cabin is rustic but truly in a perfect story book way. It has everything you need plus a beautiful stone fireplace and wood stove which we did not need with the almost 90 degree heat. I wish we would have had more time to stay. This cabin was a perfect home base for us as we explored all the area had to offer.

Fantastic Hideaway!

I wish that we had more time in our little cottage! We had such a lovely stay here at Robinson's Cottages. Were greeted with a very warm welcome and clear directions to our cottage, which was kitted out with everything we needed (and didn't!). The surrounding area of the cottage was also lovely - some small rapids behind the cabin created the most amazing atmosphere for sleeping, not to mention that the beds were sooooooo comfortable. Only potential downside is that there isn't much within a few miles for restaurants or drug stores. It didn't impact us at all, we were well prepared and also didn't mind a short drive to one of the nearby towns for some fun. Would return in a heartbeat!

Majestic

Booking this cabin is easy and quick. The host is exceptionally helpful. We arrived later than we expected, but we had no problems settling in. When we woke up we were greeted by a beautiful most-covered riverside. 10/10 would book again.

Perfect location to disconnect from the World!

No WiFi, No Service, AND no complaints about any of it! The sound of the River was peaceful as well as the Bald Eagle fishing and the Sound of the owl outside our windows at Night! My Daughter enjoyed fishing right next to the Cabin as well! Very Clean as well!

Maine getaway

Our cottage was perfect. Quiet, cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed everyday in cottage #2. We are a family of 4 with 2 dogs. Everyone had a great trip. We went bird hunting and sight seeing daily. Even saw a bull moose. Great place! Can’t wait to go back!!

If you’re looking to get away from it all...

We had a very nice overnight stay. By chance we got Cabin #2 which runs along a brook, this was definitely an added bonus. The cabin was a rustic log cabin with a beautiful fireplace which we thoroughly enjoyed all evening after dark. If you’re looking to get away and enjoy staying in a Secluded rustic cabin with no TV or wifi this place is for you! We also enjoyed the screened in porch. There’s an out door fire pit, BBQ and picnic table. Lots of wood available. We would surely stay here again!

The web pictures depict the cabin in a true light. We enjoyed the water falls next to the cabin, very calming and serene. We are Shriner's and were Downeast for the ceremonial parade the week-end of June 15-17 2018. Thank you Robinson's .

Beautiful spot

Loved the cottage. The fireplace was incredible. We had 2 couples and it was perfect for us. It was rustic and old fashioned which I love. My only complaint was that we had a smell in the bedroom and found out that there was a dead mouse in the closet area that was covered with bugs. Thankfully there was a dustpan & broom so my husband could get the mouse outside. Other than that glitch, it was awesome!

I went down prior to your arrival to ensure the cottage was ready and I did smell something, but couldn't find the source. I sincerely apologize that you found it. Being in the middle of the woods, we do have mice on occasion, though they are rarely seen and even more rarely smelled! Other than the mouse, I'm glad you enjoyed the cottage. Peaceful and Beautiful

We stopped at Robinson's on our way up to Nova Scotia. The location was a great resting point. The cabin was the perfect size and in a great location along the river. We listened to the water as we fell asleep. The cabin was what we expected based on the listing - rustic but sufficient. Beautiful fireplace and the cast iron stove kept us warm all night after we figured it out. Be advised: these are the only heat sources in the cabin.

I'm happy to hear you had a good stay and that you were able to get the woodstove going as that is the best way to heat the cottage. The woodstove is really needed in May, October and November! Robinson's Cottages is a seasonal vacation cottage business run by the same family for over 100 years. The 7 cottages and single tent site are all located on one property overlooking the Dennys River and a private pond in Edmunds Township, ME. Each cottage retains it's privacy with plenty of space and woods in between. Six of the cottages are log and are located on either the river or the pond. One cottage is a small clapboard house and is located on a sunny hillside overlooking the entrance. The tent site is located in a shady spot at a bend in the river.
