Great property. Awesome, friendly on-site manager & tour guide (Carlos) & cook (Ruby); meals homemade, tasty, & filling (shrimp, lobster, fish, pork, chicken). Very clean & comfortable rooms. TV had all the streaming channels but no local/world stations. We recommend this VRBO very, very highly especially for the price, service, & food. We perhaps came during a bad time of year, tho. Home is secluded w/o much to see/do nearby; 40 min from San Pedro &/or Secret Beach via bouncy golf cart ride on very rough road that's messy when rains; beach use was obstructed by sargassum (10 yd layer of thick decaying seaweed) & unusable but said to be better in other seasons; local store grocery prices HI; liquor price terrible so buy from Duty Free @ big airport before transfering. During our stay kids/grandkids wouldn't have enjoyed the trip at all. As we don't need much entertainment, tho, it was a fine, enjoyable experience for us.

Everything was great Carlos was amazing we love him and his family and his hard work to take care of us , and no worries about us being ourselves ! The only thing I could possibly say something about the meals may have not been proportionate enough for 5 hungry dudes haha and maybe that's an us problem but we had an amazing time and will be back thank yall for everything

Overall a good stay. Really appreciated the attention of Carlos, Lucita, and Azyer. Early mornings and night fishing on the palapa are not to be missed. The meals Lucita prepared were local and delicious.

From check in to check out the trip was amazing. Carlos Lucita and little Izar were the best. Food was all inclusive and absolutely delicious every meal. Took my mom and stepdad and cousin for Mother’s Day and we all had an amazing time. I’d recommend this for anyone traveling here with family.

Nothing that is advertised on VRBO for this property is accurate! From our pick up from the airport to the private chef. Had a water leak above the breaker box so what air units they did have were continuously throwing the breakers, door locked from inside & outside not sure what the point of that is, filthy was an understatement I can not describe the conditions of the house. Picked up broken glass off kitchen floor no blinds thru out. Carlos was in and out of the main area not to mention his child that had no idea our rental area wasn’t also his play area. Beer bottles left by pool bathroom shower & faucets broken & disgusting. One golf cart didn’t work and other one had no power steering. We checked in in the evening of October 1st and gave our notice we were leaving before morning. No refund was given and VRBO said they have no obligation to make any house owner accountable for what is posted, this is only a platform for homeowners to rent their properties they do not make money off their site. So basically there is no Reason owner needs to be accountable he is able to continue to scam the next family out of their hard earned money. I have opened a dispute with my credit card & hopefully they will make owner accountable!The house is incredibly run down, don’t count on manager for anything it is clear he doesn’t want to loose his living arrangement Be warned DO NOT rent this Property, it’s unimaginable it’s still being advertised

Carlos, Lucita, and Ayzer are wonderful and stay on property. Took very good care of us. Meals were delicious. Pool was clean and fabulous. Mother nature gaves us sargassum, but didn’t effect our massage at the Palapa on the end of the dock. House is excellent and golf carts were sufficient, but could use some TLC. It is a good distance from SP town and roads not great, but we expected that! We loved our stay here very much!

Our family of 8 had a fantastic time. Lucita's meals were wonderful and enjoyed by all... even our picky 11 year old. Carlos and Izer were always there to help out with anything we needed whether it was picking us up from the airport, getting the kayaks in the water, getting the hammocks up for us, helping the boys fish off the dock. You name it... they were great. We really enjoyed our stay.

We were a party of 5.Everything went perfect. From the pick up at the airport from Carlos, to de cooking of Lucita (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Food was very good.Rooms/toilet very clean. A/C in each room which makes the house very nice.We had a wonderful stay of 6 nights at Ecape Away.Jerry the owner organized air tickets reservation to/from Belize City and some changes at no cost from Tropic Air.We had some diving experience with White Sands, very close to the property which is a super plus, same as No Worries (Mr Hill). David, also a local guy was recommended for fishing and snorkeling.The summing pool definetly a super plus.The beach view is fantastic (despite sargazo), and the private dock with palapa makes a difference for fishing and to hang around.All staff (Lucita, her son, and Carlos) very helpfull along the day, with suggestions and recommendations where to go and what to do.The house has Laundry which is very useful as well.10/10

We stayed here for our annual mom’s trip. There were 5 of us and we had more than enough room. Carlos, his sister, and nephew were wonderful hosts. Carlos helped us with whatever we needed during our stay and all of our meals were great. As moms we really enjoyed not having to worry about meals and cleanup. The house is on a beautiful piece of property with a fantastic dock. A golf cart is a must so you can explore!

This house is heaven!!!! The views are amazing, the pool was just right and the peace….irreplaceable!! Carlos, Lucita and Isser were heaven sent!! They were so accommodating throughout our whole stay!! Carlos and Isser stayed busy working and running to town while Lucita kept us full, happy and with a clean house! She is a wonderful Chef!! Because it’s in Ambergris Caye, it is about 45 min away from town…please note that there are street lights all the way until you get back to the house. So don’t let the distance stop you from enjoying San Pedro during the day and night!! They have partnered with an Excursion crew that will either pick you up from the dock or van! Sooo convenient and affordable! Our last day we had massages at the Pier! And the ladies were amazing!!! I will definitely be back with more people to experience Escape Away!! 100/100!!!!!! I hope you book and have the absolute best experience like we did! Best 45th bday ever!!

We had a wonderful time at Escape Away Beach House. One of the standout aspects was the food prepared for us, and Lucita did an excellent job. It was also very helpful having Carlos pick us up at the airport. Carlos and Izer worked diligently throughout the week to manage the seaweed, which was our primary challenge, though they did their best given the circumstances. Each night, Izer caught bate fish so we could fish off the pier. We also snorkeled right off the pier, which was fantastic—we saw stingrays and even a nurse shark on one night. I was initially skeptical of other reviews, but we genuinely enjoyed the trip. We dined out a few times, though it was fairly pricey, so we were glad the food was included. It is a bit of a distance from town, but that didn’t bother us.

Property was very far from town because of road conditions. Hosts are nice and once we really knew food choices, cook did a great job feeding us. Pier and palapa good, beach dirty. Excursions right from dock were awesome! House needs a little tlc. Be prepared to have to pick all of your meals and times and make your own coffee.

We created wonderful family memories. The property was as pictured and as described with all the privacy we wanted. One day we asked the excellent staff to go offsite for the day so that we could feel like we lived there - then we were so happy when Chef came back and made us a late snack at 8pm. We enjoyed the recently renovated spotlessly clean swimming pool and the kids loved fishing off the private pier. We will be back again soon.

Beautiful location

Stayed here with my family and had a wonderful time. Beautiful location, private beach area, pool and dock/palapa. The staff are what really made this place special, Carlos, Lucita and Wilfredo became part of the family, they went out of their way to make our time there very special.

This house and pool are kept immaculate. The caretakers are extremely accomodating and will do everything in their power to help you, including cooking great meals at your convenience. The dock provides a relaxing retreat overlooking the ocean, and it's so fun to paddle the kayaks out to the reef. Diving and other activities can be arranged so that you are picked up right there! I come back every year, and I feel like I am returning to my home away from home.

Our family loved our island time together.The property was as described and we loved having our meals made for us and especially loved that the dishes were washed up too. It was a real vacation for all of us.Lucita is a wonderful chef and we especially enjoyed the fresh grilled lobster! We recommend visiting Secret Beach for crystal clear water, cold beers and no seaweed. We can't wait to come back again.Lynch Family, Houston Texas

Great hospitality from Carlos, Lucita, and Izer. Would come again! We enjoyed fishing right off the doc and getting the fish cooked for dinner. Overall the house was comfortable, well stocked, kids loved playing corn hole and the kayaks and pool. We did fishing, snorkeling, and scuba activities and were able to see sharks, rays, and more. Def rent the golf cart to get around and bring lots of bug spray for the mosquitos. The trip to secret beach and Caye Caulker was fun too. There is definitely the seaweed but just a little ways out water is nice and clear.

Escape Away Belize was a great property and we had a great week! The property staff were great!

We had a great experience. We booked this property just prior to the Covid pandemic but our continuing communication with the owner answered our questions about the situation in Belize. It is a great property with a wonderful staff!
