Dora was very friendly, and helpful.The house was great and so close to the beach. It was great being able to walk to the beach. The views were spectacular. It was very quiet and peaceful. Lots of room in the home. Just a great place to spend two weeks.

Ideal Location

This traditionally Florida home is ideally located just steps from Manasota Beach. We loved the sunset views and long walks on the sand. The house is spacious and comfortable, and had everything we needed for an enjoyable month’s stay.

Excellent place to stay!!!

We stayed at the house for 4 weeks. It was very nice, clean, spacious and welcoming. There are a lot of rooms with windows that provide a lot of light and beautiful views of the bay and palm trees. The bay facing deck gives you plenty of space to enjoy the outside. The beach is close (walking distance) and beach chairs were provided. The host is very friendly, responsive and nice to deal with. We would definitely stay there again.

Lemon Bay waterfront. 800 steps to Manisota Beach.

Like location. Road traffic noise might bother some but we liked the activity especially the boats, draw bridge, dolphins, pelicans and bridge fishing.Gopher turtles and Iguanas on other side of bridge walk in AM. More shark teeth than Venice, Caspersan beaches. Family beach vibe.

Peaceful and beautiful

This property has 3 generous bedrooms, easily sleeps 4, but we could have put a another person in the front 'crows nest' overlooking the waterway. This was our morning vista room. 10 min walk to great beach, seldom crowded. Fishing out the front door, or off the bridge.., golf courses all around. The host was very responsive, even with a broken knee-cap. She did her best to accommodate us and reply to any questions. Would stay again, for sure! Coffee in the morning and great surroundings.

Looking forward to another visit!

This house on the water was a wonderful place for us to spend two months away from the cold weather. We were two couples and the house was large and spacious enough for us to be together or apart to pursue our own interests. We enjoyed spending time out on the huge deck, watching the drawbridge and activity on the intercoastal, and of course, the beach on the other side of the bridge. Grocery and popular stores, as well as many restaurants, were a short ride away in Venice, and a little further in the other direction in Englewood. Cora, the owner, was lovely and very responsive and helpful as needed. We're looking forward to staying again and to exploring more of the area next year!

Fabulous Location

Loved everything about our stay. We wanted to find a lot of sharks teeth and catch a lot of fish and we did both. A few things we discovered that may help others. You can fish from the bridge. It's a little better than directly behind the property as the water is shallow and has a lot of grass. Even though we could walk, we still found driving to Manasota beach easier and preferred the path to the far right of the parking lot less busy. Our go to lunch spot was Mad Dogs which we'll miss. If you want sifters go to Shark Frenzy in downtown Venice. Highly recommend the property and would definitely stay again.

Review of 2057 Manasota Beach Road

The location was ideal and lots of room in the house. It would not take a great deal t make this place very special. I would start with cleaning or removing the carpet, supplying nice sheets and towels. The kitchen was well supplied and very spacious and pretty. We understood that there was an insurance issue with the door situation but I would hope that it is quickly resolved to allow easy access and proper weather protection. Cora was very responsive to our requests. I would also suggest they supply a grill and possibly add kayaks as depicted in the pictures.

Thank you for taking the time to share your rental experience. While the doors are water tight, one set does not open at this time and we are sorry if that caused you any inconvenience. All of your concerns have been or will be resolved. Unfortunately, kayaks cannot be provided because of liability but they can certainly be rented locally. As you suggested, we will add a gas Barbeque Grill.

Great location, house needs updates

Great location for beach goers! Big kitchen. Sheets, towels, window shades and other parts of the house are several years old and need to be replaced. Umbrellas on the front deck don’t provide much shade. We ended up spending way less time out front for this reason. Closets looked dirty and smelled a bit. Master bathroom had no door, only a curtain. No house number visible from the street.

One window shade was replaced. 2 large umbrellas are provided. If anything else was required, it would have been helpful to have known about it during the 4 week stay. We pride ourselves in responding to any and all concerns our travellers may have.

Beautiful beach house

The setting of the beach house is lovely and the accommodations are very comfortable. We enjoyed the proximity to the water, and especially the sunsets. Cora was very helpful in answering any questions we had.

Wonderful, spacious house right on the Intracoastal waterway. Clean and pretty well equipped. Beautiful location, very near Gulf beaches. Would strongly recommend.

A perfect visit

We greatly enjoyed the place, the house, the host. The house is clean, spacious, beautiful, located on a secluded waterfront, 200 steps away from the coastal beach that extends for miles in both directions. It’s an easy drive to Sarasota and Venice on the north and Naples and Fort Myers to the south. There are dozens of state parks and nature areas nearby. The interior is inviting, with a large, excellent kitchen and many pleasant spaces to work and relax. From the grand first-floor deck you can watch beautiful sunsets. The front lawn ends at the intercoastal waterway where you can see boats, birds, and sometimes dolphins. Cora is an excellent host, immediately responding to requests. Couldn’t be better!

Great Lodation

We loved watching the draw bridge operate a couple times each day, and the occasional dolphins playing around the bridge. In the morning the birds walk by in the shallow water looking for food. Very large deck with great views, and across the bridge is the beach on the gulf.

Beautiful house and wonderful location.

This house is in a beautiful location and is very spacious. The sunsets out the back deck were spectacular and we enjoyed being able to walk to the beach. We would definitely rent this house again.

Location Location Location

We really enjoyed our 2-week stay. 3/10 mi walk to the gulf beach and safe cycling backroads to the very nice Venetian Waterway bike path and the Legacy Trail. Many miles of safe cycling and convenient beachcombing in a spacious house with great sunset views. Cora was very helpful and responded immediately when internet service was lost at a critical time.

Loved the view.

A great place to stay. The big kitchen is as nice as the picture shows. An easy walk to the beach. Fun to sit on the deck and watch the drawbridge go up and down, and all the traffic on the intra coastal waterway. We were there for two weeks and had a wonderful relaxing vacation.

Great Location - Comfortable Home

This Manasota Beach home is a hidden gem. We stayed a month and loved it. Cora's beautiful home was just a quick walk over the draw bridge to beautiful Manasota Beach. We loved sitting out on the large deck, during the day with limited view of the inter-coastal waterway, or the evening to view unbelievable sunsets. Cora was very responsive to any questions and resolved any issues that we had. We loved the home as it offered serenity, however all restaurants, entertainment and stores were within 5-8 miles. We will definitely be back next year - for more than a month!

Great home with beach access

We had a wonderful experience at the Bay front home with beach access. The accommodations were very comfortable.. .we enjoyed this home as if it were our very own for our two week visit. The property is very clean and well-maintained. The owner Cora de Jonge was most helpful and accommodating. The furnishings and appliances are modern and up-to-date, and we made great use of the very well-equipped kitchen. Our views of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Manasota Beach Bridge were spectacular, and it was very convenient to walk to Manasota Beach during this very busy time of spring break. Overall, we would highly recommend this Englewood Beach property!

This home is very comfortable and is right in the middle of everything and because it is off the main road it is quiet and very suitable for both the short term traveller as well as the long term traveller spending the winter season in Florida.
