Great place to sit and relax with a cup of tea, or to travel to nearby towns like San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Montalcino, Siena, and others. Great pizza place just 2 doors up. This was our 2nd stay at Casa Illuminata. Well apportioned kitchen, beautiful bedrooms with baths, plus a washer for laundry. And the views from the terraces are breathtaking. Highly recommend this place!!

This home in the tiny hamlet of Radicondoli was amazing. Beautiful views and a fully stocked kitchen were the highlights, along with a phenomenal pizza restaurant next door (La Pergola).

Radicandoli has a butcher, a bakery, great restaurants, and a shop with most of the stuff you need to make a nice meal. The residence is magnificent with plenty of room and privacy, a wonderful kitchen and excellent views. Cycling from Radicandoli is a challenge -- fun going out but a fairly stiff climb coming back,You are reasonably close to Voltera and Siena.An EXCEPTIONAL place to stay.

This was a life memorable stay here.The views were fantastic and the place was clean and well equipped.The town had such fantastic views everywhere. It was a true slow authentic Italian town. Our stop before here was Rome and this was what we needed after all the hustle there.Well equipped for 4 people both rooms have a great view.A pizza place 2 doors down. (Best pizza I ever had). A theater next door. Cute shops in the town.It's as truly a hidden gem.

Excellent appartment with tremendous views. Really well equipped WIFI good. Lovely village with a few trstraunts and bars. We particularly liked the bar in the middle of the village and the burger/pizza restaurant on the left just as you enter the village good food and a lot of great beers. Not always easy to park next to the apartment but large car park at lower level only 5 - 10 minute walk

A week in Radicondoli

Roomy apartment on 3 levels well located to access all that Radicondoli offers (it's not a big town!). Property description is accurate. Well stocked kitchen, great views from the balconies, would stay again.

This place is amazing. The amenities and views are amazing. I love that the town of Radicondoli possesses all of the charm of a medieval hill town without large groups of tourists. The location is close enough to other places to visit which we did almost every day. We immediately made contact with one of the bars for morning coffees and enjoyed everything about the place. We did have a problem with the ATM/Bancomat in town but were able to pull euros out in another town.

Casa Illuminata, Radicondoli.

The central location in the village and the area was great. Nearby restaurants and Co-op made life easy. We did day trips to San Gimigiano, Volterre and Dreamwoods. The condo itself had great views and had everything we needed. Would love to return someday!

Paradise ? Well the closest place.

Everything here is phenomenal. The view,the house itself particularly the kitchen,so well equipped.Actually there's nothing missing in that house. The restaurants nearby are great. Very well situated for visiting the best places in Tuscany.

Midevil Living

A wonderful place to stay for a couple weeks. Great restaurant in town that we ate ate 4 times. A little remote because of the winding roads but ver easy to navigate. A very friendly information center with many ideas on where to do day trips. Siena is not too far away.

Beautiful view of Tuscan landscape

This apartment has everything. Incredible view from balcony. Beautifully furnished with many artistic touches. The property manager is exceedingly responsive and kind. Fully equipped kitchen. Excellent location for making day trips to San Gimignano, Volterra, and Siena.

Tuscany dream

We had a fabulous time in this charming town. Nicola was amazing and we immediately felt like family. The view from the upstairs terrace is absolutely breathtaking. The apartment is modern with a great kitchen. Great little restaurants, grocery, and bakery nearby. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Radicondoli

The villa was lovely and just as advertised. Nicola the property manger was very kind, helpful and responsive. The town was so quaint and everyone was very friendly. The local restaurants served delicious authentic Tuscan fare. Visiting Tuscany was always my dream and staying at this Villa made my dream come true.

Unique experience

Our stay exceeded our expectations. We loved the town, the surroundings, and this charming home with its picturesque views. We can not wait to return to Radocondoli and learn to live slower. This is a magical place. Also, special thanks to Nicola for being there when we arrived and helping us settle.

Wonderful place

Extremely pleased with the location and the quality of the villa. Furnishings of the highest standard and kitchen fully equipped. Note the bedrooms are on the upper and lower levels with stairs to access. Radicondoli has restaurants, cafes and all other shops needed. Surrounded by Tuscan landscape it is a beautiful landscape with access to other well known places. Thank you for the opportunity to stay

A beautiful home in an unspoiled Tuscan town

We loved everything about our week long stay at Casa Iluminata. The house is spacious, beautifully decorated, with lovely bed linens, comfortable furnishings and fully equipped kitchen. The roof top terrace was our evening spot to enjoy a drink and take in the amazing view. The owner’s instructions and tips were great and the local manager was very accommodating and responsive. The town itself is lovely with several good restaurants especially Agriteca and not overrun with tourists. We hope to be lucky enough to return and stay here again.

Great Time Wonderful Village

We stayed in Radicondoli for eight nights. The apartment is near the center of the village steps away from the best pizza restaurant for miles around. It also has the best view from the terrace. As for the apartment, it is clean has all the kitchen items you would want. YouTube how to operate a MOKA Italian Coffee Maker while here, you will not be disappointed. The top bedroom with the expansive terrace has the very best view. Village people are friendly and welcoming. We loved it.

Amazing stay

La Casa Illuminata was an absolute dream. Modern conveniences throughout, beautiful bedrooms, each with their own private terrace, and a very comfortable living area for relaxing and reading. And the VIEWS! Incredible scenery that was different every morning - from sunshine one day to the mist that settled in the valley the next day. The town is small but lovely and offered us the quiet and serenity we were seeking. The people were great to meet and get to know. We went on a couple of day trips to San Gimignano and Volterra, each about an hour away by car. Great place and we would definitely stay there again. Nicola met us and showed us around when we arrived and he is a jewel - very kind and warm hearted. We loved our time there.

Beautiful home and village

We agree with all the other reviews. Beautifully maintained home right in the heart of a unique little village. We spent 5 nights there and already miss it. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook in a few nights. Communication from the owner and on-site manager was perfect. We took a cooking class and ate at the two main local restaurants (Agriteca and La Nazionale). The house is right next to the upscale pizza place so there is a little noise at night until 10:30-11:00 PM especially if you stay in the downstairs bedroom but it wasn't a hug deal. (We didn't eat there because all the locals say it's a ripoff at $20+ for a small pizza vs. $8 for one at Nazionale but it was popular with other tourists coming into town). A memorable trip.

A note to readers considering a visit to Radicondoli: I love all of our local restaurants and they each have their own personality and flair. La Nazionale on the main street offers classic Tuscan dishes in a friendly, casual setting. Their bar is popular morning, noon and night. Agriteca is situated in the charming central piazza with an outdoor covered dining area and a large outdoor seating area for drinks and snacks in the center of the piazza. Their menu is an artfully delicious interpretation of traditional and contemporary Tuscan cooking. La Pergola Pizzeria next door to Casa Illuminata offers artisan made wood fired pizzas with sourced ingredients from localities throughout Italy, which is why their prices are higher. Ask to be seated on their outdoor terrace in the summer. They have a gorgeous view. La Pergola also has an enoteca two doors down from our house where you can buy their artisan breads and fresh panini with a beer for lunch. Buon appetito!

Live As The Locals Life

Casa Illuminata Radicondoli by far exceeded our expectations. The three story home offers guests the unique opportunity to live as the locals live. The view from this beautiful home is absolutely stunning. The caretaker of the property was very helpful from the days leading up to our stay and throughout in making bookings and recommendations for dinner, cooking classes, local villages to visit, he was the most attentive host we have ever experienced. He met us at the door of the property (was so patient as we were a little late), he helped carry our bags into the house, showed us through each of the three floors, and came to help us again and say goodbye as we left. The village itself is beautiful, the people are friendly, lovely local restaurants just a couple of minutes walk from the house. Oh, and if you love to read, the house has an excellent selection of books to read. We will definitely be back, next time we will stay for longer!

A Tuscan Dream

Spectacular! Every rave review still falls short of the magic of this place. Comfortable, beautiful, located in an enchanting Tuscan hilltop village with few tourists, holding winding streets, alleys, panoramic views, restaurants and all a living, active village needs. Friendly people, a bar/restaurant opened to the street where people gathered late afternoon and evening. Well located for easy day trips to other villages and towns. But our favorite thing to do was, after a delicious dinner, we'd sit on the balcony off the top floor bedroom watching the swifts sail through a sunset that stretched over an unbroken 180 degree panoramic view of the Tuscan valleys and mountains stretching row after row to the North. While we stayed in Florence, visited Lucca and Bologna, and spent a week long family reunion in a beautiful Chianti villa, our 4 nights here was our favorite time. Given how crowded the major cities were, I'm not sure I'd return to Florence despite awe inspiring art and architecture. However, I would return to this place in a heart beat. Thank you Marlane for sharing this with us. It is a great gift for those who are fortunate to discover it.

Another wonderful experience

This was our third stay at the lovely Casa Illuminata, and it undoubtedly lived up to our memorable holidays staying here in 2018 and 2019. The accommodation is extremely spacious and very comfortable, with everything you could possibly need, and it has a very special peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. This is in part due to the incredible views which stretch as far as distant mountains and are fascinating at all times of day, from the lakes of mist in the valleys below in the early mornings, to the really stunning sunsets. How very lucky we feel to have had the opportunity again to relax on the large terrace here and soak it all in, with a book in one hand and a glass of very good Italian wine in the other. Despite its quiet, Casa Illuminata is superbly located in the heart of a lively, friendly little village, which has everything you need within a couple of minutes’ walk (eg a small supermarket, a chemist, a tourist office, three restaurants, bars, a baker’s, a post office, a shop selling stylish crockery and other items, and even a little gallery and a delightful hairdresser...). If you want to get out and about (though it is very tempting just to while away the time here), Radicondoli is also within easy reach by car of wonderful cultural centres eg Siena, Florence, San Gimignano and Volterra, and various other lovely villages/small towns which are great fun to explore eg Castellina, Greve and Monteriggioni. We cannot speak too highly of the owner, Marlane, who, as always, has been extremely easy to communicate with, very kind and thoughtful (and never more so than in this difficult year for travel), and also of Giovanna, who lives in the village and looks after the property for her, and for whom nothing is too much trouble to ensure that guests have a perfect stay. What a wonderful experience this has again been.

Plus que parfait!

Nous avons été totalement comblés par cette maison qui nous a été confiée pendant quelques jours. Tout y est parfait, bien décorée, propre, bien équipée. Et que dire de la vue de la terrasse arrière : époustouflante! En guise de bonus, la beauté du village de Radicondoli, ses habitants sympathiques et authentiques. En résumé, une bulle de bonheur complète.
