Excellent property

House is a few minute walk to the beach. Equipped with everything you need to cook any meal, and tons of plates, cups, etc. this was our second time staying here and love it.

Clean, comfortable, well-equipped

Our family loved this vacation rental. It was very clean and spacious with everything we needed for a relaxing beach trip. The pool was great. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing!

This house was perfect for our family! The house was stocked with more than I would have expected on vacation with board games for all ages, awesome books, and plenty of baby supplies! We will definitely be staying again!

Private Drive Paradise

…such a lovely place to stay : clean, well-stocked, roomy, overall comfortable feeling place to stay. Communication with property owner was excellent. Also, a very short walk to the beach but, if you do not feel like walking, there is always the well-maintained pool

Weekend Getaway

Nice Stay for a short period. Warm and inviting. Felt very much like home and very spiritual. We did see one bug that appeared to look like a roach or water bug.

We had a great time and we’re amazed with 24 Private Drive. The house was well stocked and well furnished. Will certainly watch for this house again in the future.

Comfortable

The house was comfortable for adults and children. There is obvious maintenance that is required to be performed for safety. Furniture and bed frames/mattresses need to be replaced.Kitchen, pool, entertainment centers were well equipped.

Location to Ocean, Restaurants and Grocery Stores is excellent. The pool is a nice addition and good size for family of 7. The outside shower is a bonus. Parking under the house was helpful. The overall opinion of the house was good. We could have used a second refrigerator but realize there's not a place for a second one. The steps helped us get our workouts in as it was a very rainy week.

Beach Week with Family

10 of us and pets stayed at this property and found it generally as described and very accommodating. The kitchen was extremely well stocked allowing us to easily make all meals at the house. We had an issue during the stay and the property management company was very responsive. It’s in a great location for easy (1 block) access to the beach and has a lovely pool that allowed us to extend our day in the water. Overall a worthwhile investment as a place to stay for our family with ages ranging from 65-8.

Great place to stay

This house was a great pick. We had 12 in our group (6 adults) and our kids in their early twenties. Enough room for all! House was completely stocked which was great because we love to spend the days at the beach and then hang by the pool and cook at home. One issue with the pool which was rectified the next day. About a 4-5 minute walk to the beach but nice because you are off the main beach street with all the traffic. Definitely will be back!

Wonderful House

This is a great beach house. The house is very well maintained and was very clean upon our arrival. The pool was sparkling and everyone had a good time while using it. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking or grilling meals. One thing I would say about the kitchen ware is that there very many multiples on the utensils and pots and pans to the point where the cabinets and drawers were difficult to close. You may want to consider "thinning out the herd" so to speak! Overall, it's a great house in a very good location for a family vacation. Highly recommend.

Beautiful House, Perfect Location

This house is perfect for a large group, and is very family-friendly! It was very clean and this mama with a crawling baby didn’t have to worry about a dirty floor. We had 6 adults and 2 little ones (infant and young toddler). The rooms were perfect for setting up pack-and-plays and the living area was spacious and safe for the kids. The kitchen had literally anything we needed which was awesome! We were pleasantly surprised to find hand and dish soap, toilet paper and paper towels left from previous guests (and we did the same). We heated the pool since it was chilly and it was very comfortable. The back patio was lovely to sit and enjoy the pool. We happened to be one of the only occupied houses the week that we went and the back deck was quiet and peaceful. It was a wonderful stay and we will be back soon!

Great location just unfortunate mishaps

This was our first time staying “on the right side of island” and it was beach week for a large group of high schoolers. They did not bother us or seem loud but the neighbors called the police on them every night. The first night they came to our house but I think realized we were not a house of teens. The police were very friendly and courteous, and always said they couldn’t understand the complaints. The neighbors were just looking to get someone in trouble. Unfortunately the home was listed with hot tub, and (VRBO) admitted it was their error. The oven did not work but on two temperatures from Saturday to Wednesday and the host expected us to communicate with property manager. The bathrooms were not the cleanest and had mold in shower faucets and the floors/molding had black mold. The light above shower was out and the outlet in the master bath did not work. Once again the host wanted me to contact the property manager. Honestly I felt it was the homeowners responsibility to contact and coordinate repairs. As someone mentioned there are cameras everywhere. I didn’t mind at front door and under house but in general areas like the deck and the pool, that felt like an invasion of privacy.

Great location, nice house but needs improvement.

Pros: quick walk to the beach. Large house with plenty of parking. Fairly large pool. Nice layout for house. Cons:When we booked the property the summer description was listed and not the off season description. The house was extremely nice however there were multiple dead bugs when we arrived. When we were sitting on the couch a water bug/roach crawled out of the sitting chair. The pool was dirty and not running when we arrived, I had contacted the host about if the pool was heated and she said it was an additional charge on top of the large amount we spent on the house for 2 nights. I informed her the pool was not running and my husband had checked the pump (we have a pool so we are familiar) and it was so fulfilling and needed to be backwashed and that is what we did. She was irritated that I contacted her and touched the pool pump. She informed me they have a pool company and we shouldn’t have touched the pump. I did see in the description that there were cameras which we were fine with but there were cameras by the door, where the cars needed to be parked, one on each back deck (2) & one watching directly over the pool (which I found disturbing) Lastly, there were no bath, hand or kitchen towels. In the amenities it listed linens so I assumed linens meant bath towels. We ended up going to Walmart at 9:30 Friday night and spent a fortune on bath towels for 12 people.

Thank you for your review. The description does state the pool can be heated for an additional charge. Regarding linens, it also states beds are made upon arrival. We were very accommodating with your late checkout and answering all the questions you asked about the pool beforehand , and yes, the pool is cleaned twice a week. They were scheduled (and did come out) the next morning. Pest control also sprays twice a month and had just been out. Yes, any pool problems should have gone through our property manager, as the book at the house states.

A very well maintained house. The kitchen is very well equipped for those who do food preps. We also enjoyed the location—no vehicles in and out, close to the beach and a nice beach. We will definitely consider another stay.

This is our 3rd year at this property. House is spacious, kitchen has anything and everything you would ever need, house was extremely clean, and about a 4 minute walk to the beach right by a walkway. We are trying something new next year otherwise we would be booking the same house. Highly recommend.

Awesome spot!!

This home was very clean upon entrance. Very accommodating! LOVE the pool area which was equipped with floats and toys. We had a wedding party stay and plenty of room for about 16 of us!! Thanks for letting us enjoy your home!
