Dear Guest, I'm always ready to take responsibility if something goes wrong, whether in my listing or my property, but in this case I can't agree with your review. You wrote that the apartment was "extremely dirty": I personally inspected the cleaning company's work, both before and after your arrival, and I believe it was done properly. Regarding the bad odors, I honestly didn't notice anything. It's possible that when you arrived, a slight odor wafted up the stairs from the septic tank: in the historic center, all buildings have septic tanks, as there's no direct connection to the sewer system, so you can sometimes smell it (the tanks aren't modern and completely sealed). This is a common feature of all buildings in the historic center, not just mine. If you'd told me, I would have explained it to you, but it doesn't justify your leaving. Regarding the safety of the stairwell, I completely reject your insinuations: they are absolutely safe and solid. Furthermore, mine is a so-called "noble" building (meaning it belonged to a former upper-middle-class family), and you can see it from the large, majestic stairwell. Obviously, an old building isn't like a modern one, but that's supposed to be its charm, and you should know this before booking. This makes me think you're perhaps not used to traveling in European historic centers. Regarding the authenticity of my listing, the photos were taken by me with my cell phone and belong to that apartment, not any others.
