The pictures did not do it justice, the house and view were fabulous! The location was perfect for our friends weekend trip! The house was well stocked with everything you would need and want for your vacation. I appreciated the great communication! Highly recommended!

This was our third time to stay in sunrise cottage. We absolutely love the place. The view is spectacular. It’s very peaceful and serene. The sunrise is incredible. The property is well appointed it had everything we needed. The beds are super comfortable. We will look forward to our next time for our all girls weekend!

This is the second time we’ve stayed with our 80# dog. This property is just perfect! The house is fully stocked with everything you could want or need. The dock had some damage recently but is fully usable.

Great house on lake. House was fully stocked with everything you’ll need. So many amenities that made a great relaxing weekend. Host responded to messages right away.

Sunrise cottage is even prettier than it looks online. My family, including the four legged furry ones, and I stayed there for a week and enjoyed it immensely. Tons of fun in the water and out. Gloria and Rick were gracious hosts and we had everything we could want or need.

The property was lovely and well stocked as many previous travelers have noted. The view of the lake was spectacular and there were plenty of places to look out over the lake. Exceptionally clean property and a quick 3 1/2 hour drive from Kansas City. Crappie fishing wasn’t too bad and had a trip booked with Dustin at GBF Outdoors. We hope to book another trip in the future.

We are a family of 6 adults and 6 children ages 6-14. This was our 4th year at Sunrise Cottage. The house and patio area are amazing. It has everything you might need — dishes, pans, appliances- EVERYTHING! The view of the lake is breathtaking and waking up to it every morning is beautiful. The hot tub is great for relaxing while watching boats on the lake. The stairs to the dock are a little steep so remember what you carry down…must get carried back up The kids loved swimming and the fishing was good. Lots of great family memories made!!Rick and Gloria are great to work with— they really care about your family and comfort.

This is a fantastic property. Beautiful home with all the amenities and beautiful decor. My crew even caught some awesome catfish and white bass. Million dollar view of Grand Lake and Pensacola Dam. So many food choices nearby from dine in to fast food. I will be back,

The property was beautiful with the most perfect view of the lake. Hosts were wonderful and even made us feel safe when some rough weather came through. Would definitely enjoy another trip in the future!Bonus points for having a contact who could help with a charcuterie board and birthday cake!

My wife and I have stayed in several nice homesOn Grand Lake O’ The Cherokees - by far the best views , hospitality, absolutely gorgeous, the house had everything and anything you could want …. BUT, the owners Rick & Gloria were fantastic…. Made us feel welcomed, down to earth and always available ….. over the top with customer service and we had a perfect week !!! Thank you Rick & Gloria

We had an absolutely incredible stay at this lake house! The view alone is worth booking — the entire back of the house overlooks the lake, and waking up to the most beautiful sunrises each morning was unforgettable.The home was stocked far beyond what we expected, with thoughtful touches and everything we could possibly need during our stay. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing in the evenings while enjoying the peaceful lake scenery.One of our favorite features was the large fenced yard, which was ideal for our labradoodle to safely run and play. It’s not always easy to find such a pet-friendly property that still feels upscale and well cared for.The house was clean, comfortable, spacious, and clearly maintained with care. We truly felt at home from the moment we arrived. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing lake getaway!
Our labradoodle, Tika, loved this screened in retreat offering a panoramic view of Grand Lake!

The house was absolutely beautiful, with plenty of space and fantastic amenities. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots/pans, and everything you could need for meal preparation. The lake access was fantastic and we had an excellent time, we would definitely book again.

This is the most fully stocked house we have EVER stayed in! Huge spacious rooms, kitchen was amazing, hot tub perfect, and the view?! To die for!! We stayed here with our entire family which was 11 of us total and there was PLENTY of room! Loved it so much we stayed an extra night! Gloria and Rick were amazing and very fast at communicating! You will love this place!

Amazing property!

This is one of the best VRBO rentals you can find! Every aspect of the house is amazing from the lake view and proximity to town, down to the hand picked art and throw pillows. I highly recommend this house for your vacation.
