Questa è la classica baita (con nuova cucina!) tu stavi cercando. Situato a Driggs, nell'Idaho, a 45 miglia da Jackson Hole ea 97 miglia da Yellowstone. Può ospitare 2 adulti in un letto matrimoniale e l'altra camera da letto ha un divano letto doppio e un altro materasso doppio per piano. Chiamata dal Men's Journal "la migliore cittadina in America".

Perfetto per una coppia o una piccola famiglia, ritiro per artisti / scrittori, luna di miele, birdwatching, trekking, kayak, sci, pesca o semplicemente godersi l'aria fresca.

Colter Cabin si trova su 7 acri circondato da ranch e pioppi tremuli. Vista sul comprensorio sciistico Grand Targhee e Grand Tetons dal ponte anteriore. 25 minuti di auto da Grand Targhee per lo sci da favola e 65 minuti di auto sul pass per sciare a Jackson Hole. Sci di fondo e racchette da neve fuori dalla porta principale o su molte piste battute nelle vicinanze.

Grande kayak sui fiumi Teton e Snake e mountain bike nelle montagne del Big Hole. Pesca a mosca a Leigh Creek, Teton River e Henry's Fork. Facendo un'escursione fuori dalla porta nel deserto di Jedediah Smith. Bellissimo Leigh Creek a pochi passi. Equitazione e golf disponibili 5 min. lontano. La graziosa cittadina di Driggs con graziosi ristoranti e negozi si trova a 7 miglia di auto.

Jackson Hole (50 minuti in auto) è pieno di gallerie d'arte, negozi, musei, ristoranti, escursioni in barca sul serpente, sci di fondo e sci alpino. Gli aeroporti di Idaho Falls e Jackson distano entrambi 75 minuti. Il Parco Nazionale di Yellowstone si trova a 100 miglia a nord - entrare a West Yellowstone. Wonderful Private Cabin
My son and I stayed 7 nights at this wonderful and private cabin flanked by pasture land and a view of the Grand Tetons. The cabin has amazing sunset views from both of the porches (one off of each bedroom). The porches overlook pastures with a dozen horses that graze and play throughout the day. We also saw a few deer on the property during the evenings. There is a family of foxes that lives in a woodpile down the road and come out around dusk. All the modern conveniences (KitchenAid appliances, pots/pans/etc, big TV w/ Apple TV, washer/dryer, and great water pressure - - which is nice after a long day exploring). Very private and down a well-maintained gravel road. It was 28 degrees the first two nights we were there and the big fireplace and ample seasoned wood delivered beautifully. (There's heat, too, but using the fireplace was way more fun!) Parking is simple (large gravel area in front of garage which is in front of the actual cabin) and check-in was a breeze. There are several hiking options in the area including some trails into the west side of the Tetons (trailheads about 15 minute drive from cabin). Grocery, dining, supplies are just a 15 minute drive away in Driggs. Wonderful stay and a great basecamp for Grand Teton adventures. With the Teton Pass out of commission, it was about 2 hours...but the drive is very scenic and the summer days are very long so there is plenty of time to head out to the Tetons in the morning and get back before dark! Wonderful!

Little Peace of Heaven
Can't say enough about how peaceful this cabin is. We were able to travel to both Yellowstone and Tetons national Park. The road closure requires some extra drive time but the drive was absolutely beautiful. Both parks are stunning. That being said the best part of our stay was the evening sunsets on the porch at the cabin. The birds songs were the only music we needed along with the sound of the wind blowing through the trees which sounded like the ocean. The sunsets are God's masterpieces each night giving us a glimpse of heaven. I've never seen sunsets like the ones of the cabin before in my life. Another bonus was the bed was incredibly comfortable. The mattress was just perfect for my bad back. The owner could not be more responsive. She was very caring about everything regarding our stay.

Very nice and secluded cabin with beautiful views. Close enough to local restaurants and grocery stores. Plenty of local places to hike and explore if you don’t feel like making a trip over the mountain pass to access the national parks. The cabin itself was clean, warm, and cozy. Would highly recommend.

A Haven Set Among Beauty
My husband and I were thrilled when we arrived at this wonderful cabin. It was just as pictured and described (do not look at the Google picture taken 15 years ago!). It was surrounded by gorgeous aspen trees and wild flowers. The front porch has a cozy place to sit so see the morning sun, or the rising moon. The back porch and upper balcony (off the master suite) overlook the textured pasture with the beautiful horses grazing and frolicking, and seating is provided. I liked talking to them and when I played my Dean Martin crooner music, they looked up and seemed to like it. The sunset was breath taking, and on the evenings we were home, we sat out there and gazed at the majesty. The instructions for the house were very helpful, and several "things to do" brochures were provided. The cabin was well supplied with linens, towels, and washcloths. It was nice to have a washer and dryer to do a couple of small loads so we could take clean clothes home. We highly recommend this enchanting cabin. Of course the fact that it is fairly close to Jackson Hole, The Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone, not to mention all there is to do closer to "home", just made it even better. It will be one of my "happy places" forever!

1st time out west
Stayed here while visiting the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. The cabin was great! Clean, quiet, and had all the amenities we needed. The only problem was its location in regards to the parks. 1.5 hour drive to Yellowstone and 1 hour drive to Jackson and the Tetons.

Nice cabin
It is a secluded very cute cabin! Things were well stocked. Sunset views over the ranch were awesome. There are 12-15 horses in the backyard (neighboring ranch) that are very fun to watch at all times of day! The drive to GTNP, Teton Village, and Jackson goes quick and is beautiful.

Peaceful Getaway

The Cabin is in a great location, my family and I were able to enjoy Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park using the West Entrance, and Idaho Falls while staying here. The cabin made our trip so much better.

Truly outstanding property!
This is a one-of-a-kind property bear beautiful Driggs, Idaho. If you are skiing at Grand Targhee this is the perfect spot to be within 30 minutes of the resort, but in a very private setting. Ginger, the host, was great. Kitchen is perfectly stocked, bathrooms are great and the cabin is amazing!

Serenity Now!!
This cabin should be named Serenity Now!! It was the most PEACEFUL, quiet, and beautiful place I have ever stayed. Nestled on many acres of farm-land with a view of the Tetons and Mountains all around, this was a dream! If you want peace, tranquility, and to get away from it all with a ton of outdoor adventure close by then this is THE PLACE!

30th Anniversary vacation
This was a great place for us. We were very busy every day, trying to fit in all of the great sights & things we did. From side by side O.R.V. through the Targhee forest & mountains to horse back ridding through the mountains & fly fishing down the Snake river. We enjoyed ever bit of our stay! We bought this cabin in 2001 as a vacation getaway for family and friends. Jim worked for Jones Lang LaSalle and Ginger taught Montessori. We started ColterCabins and use the cabin ourselves for many weeks each year. We now split our time between Tetonia and Uruguay. Our family uses the cabin often, so the kitchen is always well equipped and the beds are super-comfortable. We love to hike, ski, kayak and cook big dinners for family and friends.

This area of Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana is just gorgeous. There are so many beautiful areas to visit – mountains, waterfalls, rivers, fields of wildflowers throughout the summer, and great snow all winter. You will want to be outdoors every day of your stay! Late spring is the best time to see the animals with their new offspring, and October brings the spectacular golden "quaking" leaves on the aspen trees.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

Our wood-burning fireplace is the classic traditional stone fireplace of your dreams. Lots of wood is stacked on the porch. The new kitchen with all stainless appliances is a treat as well. Cozy furniture, a large copper dining table, down comforters and quilts - we try to create an experience you will love. Note the elk chandelier in the great room - the Boy Scouts in Jackson collected all the antlers. The views of the Big Hole Mountains over the ranch next door are spectacular - especially for sunsets. Peaceful, quiet, only the rustling of the aspen leaves out your door.
