We spent four nights at Dylan's beautiful home. A great spot for starting our Redwoods and coastal exploring. The accommodations were exceptional, house was spacious and comfortable.The surroundings of the house are spectacular, the Redwoods on the property are stunning I am particularly fond of the Mother Tree along the river by the shed, she is a powerful energy source. We enjoyed a few fresh picked apples from the orhard every morning, taking only some higher fruit as to allow the lower ones to be left for the deer we encountered throughout our stay. The views looking across the Smith are beautiful, even with the lower level of the river at the time.I spent every morning having coffee on the small back porch watching the fog constantly changing my viewpoint of the river. A great spot for quite morning solitude, my new favorite coffee clatch,and my refills were always free.I cant wait to savor a cup there again soon.We were also blessed with such phenomenal late September weather as well as the Harvest Moon rising above the Redwoods on the property.We loved the place so much we are already planning our next family getaway to this spectacular propertyDylan, thank you so very much for sharing your beautiful home, so that others can relax in such comfort after days of exporing the richness of the area.We know we will be coming back.Dylan was an fantastic.Thanks again for the stay and the future reading selections. The home was beautiful. I loved that it wasn't super updated because it kept the rustic and charm of being a house in the woods. The best part was the creek in the back. There are stairs that go down to the creek, just use caution and take it slow. We loved the privacy the home gave. We didn't hear any other neighbors until we were loading our car to leave. Dylan was extremely responsive whenever I had messaged him prior to our stay. We did not need to message while there as all information was provided. We would absolutely stay again and I've already recommended this property to family and friends. Thank you, Dylan!

We had an amazing stay and the house was perfect for our home base to explore the beach and the redwoods! We loved having the river access available as well. The pool table was a big hit our kids were hooked. Thank you again for letting us enjoy your beautiful home…we will be back:)

Awesome place

The house was great and the location was amazing! The peaceful sound of the river, the quiet neighborhood, the plentiful amount of redwoods on property, the horseshoe pits, and the convenience to the state parks made our short trip absolutely perfect. We would certainly book this house again if we're back in the area.

Another Relaxing Getaway...

Great family vacation spot with lots of privacy, located right along the Smith River. Had a small hiccup with the water/septic system on the final morning of our stay, but would definitely stay here a third time. Highly recommend.

Comfortable stay

The house was well stocked and comfortable. We enjoyed the beautiful river view and seclusion. Plenty of room for us to spread out. Nicely appointed between crescent city and Jedediah Smith. Responsive host, would stay again!

Very nice

So private and quiet! Loved sitting outside or in with the view of the river. Great for dogs. Clean, nicely furnished, responsive owner - hit all the right buttons. Lots of nice hiking near by ocean or redwoods.

Smith river

It was our first trip to California and we definitely made the right choice for booking our stay with you. The home was absolutely beautiful and accommodated our every need. The scenery was breathtaking, even the neighborhood was welcoming. We are already discussing about our returning trip.

Memorable Family Spring Break

Our family stayed for spring break and we had the best time! We didn't want it to end and wish we could live here. It's such a beautiful and peaceful place that takes you back to simplicity. We enjoyed breathtaking views of the Smith River and had deer visit in the front yard. Everyday was a new adventure either exploring the Redwood Forest or playing at the beach. Awesome host with great communication.

Lovely spot!

Our family and yellow lab had a great stay here. We especially loved the view from the living room, the comfortable chairs, and the pool table. And we appreciated the little touches like the hand made mancala game, the typewriter and the bluetooth speaker. The kitchen was bright and cheery. It took about 40 minutes to get to the big redwoods nearby which were incredibly impressive and magical.

Beautiful property, excellent host, gorgeous location

We rented the place to stay at for our quiet elopement wedding (just the two of us), it was exactly what we were looking for. It’s quiet, but not isolated, sits right along the River with a *beautiful* picturesque view, and river access. The property grounds are spacious and lovely as well. The house itself is a clearly well loved and maintained house. Clean, good amenities, and just very homely. It was exactly what we were looking for, and we loved every minute of being there. Absolutely plan to visit again in the future for more quiet get-aways. Fantastic host and communication as well

This property has been part of my family since my early childhood. I have many happy memories growing up there, and have done a great deal of work personally upgrading the house in recent years. After relocating to Humboldt County, CA, I decided to share my home with others as a vacation rental.
