Leonard was a great host and accommodated us by letting us book last minute after our vehicle broke down. He was very fast to communicate. The house and the surrounding land are great, especially if you are traveling with a pet. We couldn't have asked for a better stay, especially with our unexpected situation.

Owner - Leonard is very responsive. The location is fine, just had a little struggle on our way to it due to closed roads. But we get there just in time. The amenities are complete except for toilet papers and paper towels, foils that you might need to bring. With washer and dryer, large deck where my GS and husky enjoyed and a spacious yard to run around. No additional pet fees unlike other rentals. My fluffy friends are both house-trained. It is definitely lake front where my husband loves to go fishing in the morning using their row boat. Life jackets are also available. Will surely come back and highly recommendable. But for courtesy, we left the house clean and put everything back in order. Thank you so much for the accommodation.

Leonard, our host, was quick to respond to any of our questions/concerns. The property itself is a bit small, well maintained, clean, and cozy. My family along with 2 doggies had a great time in the winter as well. The surrounding area is beautiful and had a good time exploring nearby Honesdale!

Do not spend the money on this house, not worth the price! It's on a main road, no address marker on the house whatsoever and is NOT close to Honesdale which he states in his listing as "2.4" miles away. We were attending a family function in Honesdale and that is why we picked this house because of it's said location. It's over 10 miles away. The outside is covered in mold, the deck at the entrance of the house is rotting away. Needs a MAJOR power washing. No door on musty cellar...it's a baby gate! When you walk into the kitchen you will be lucky if you do not fall through the rotten floor. When you sit on the kitchen stools the tops literally flake off onto the floor. We covered them with towels so we could sit on them. The couch is completely sunk in and old. We put sheets on them so we could sit on the furniture. The only curtains are on the two windows in the living room; the rest are completely uncovered. Beautiful view of pond, but the deck is splintering apart and rotting along with a massive wasp nest above the door.The pond is nice, but the house is completely run down. Needs a LOT of TLC!I read comments from two years ago which had the same complaints as we have, and he has done nothing to repair them. And frankly I find him rude in his comments to the previous renters.I'm sorry we didn't read the reviews sooner...that's on us. RENTERS BEWARE!

Some people cannot follow instructions!!!!! I sent complete instructions on how to get to the house.....probably he did not even read them This is a country house set on 50 acres with a private pond.. It is well furnished and always cleaned and service properly.

Love this property and host!

We've been here multiple times and we absoutely love it! The host is one of the kindest and most humble host's we've ever had! My family loves it here and the fact that its dog friendly and so much room to run makes it even better.

Great property, very private and peaceful. We enjoyed our weekend getaway . Fishing was great and home was cozy , clean and had everything we needed. Great restaurants and town center.

We wanted to “get away” and this place was perfect…plenty of room, lots of privacy, dog-friendly (of course we brought our pug, Rosie!), and beautiful views! We enjoyed a campfire each night in the stunning outside space. Our host, Leonard, was helpful and responded immediately to any questions we had. A great experience!

Second stay here. Leonard is a very good guy. He's available to you at a moment notice. If something is wrong he is very apologetic and trys to fix the situation. But at the same time leaves you alone to enjoy your stay. And there's some really neat stores in town. Plus the wildlife is right there for you to see. And the scenery is awesome.

A quiet and pleasant stay

This location was perfect for a couple of days away. It had modern conveniences as well as a feeling of a getaway. It was overall a great two days away and I would recommend it for anyone who wants beautiful views and a quiet escape to enjoy themselves!

Great peaceful escape

The property was nice, clean, and beautiful. It was awesome to come and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and lake. Leonard was extremely helpful, hospitable, responsive, and just overall a great host. Really enjoyed my stay!

Great little getaway

This was a great property with beautiful scenery. Had everything you need and you got to look out over the lake. Very pretty and peaceful. Kitchen had everything you needed and beds were comfortable.
