We have been here for many vacations and always look forward to coming back. The owners are very responsive and kind. The lake and kayaking was, as always, spectacular. Fully furnished and very clean. Definitely my happy place!

We love this place!

This is one of our favorite places anywhere. The house was perfect for us. It is so clean and well equipped. We love the lake and really enjoyed the kayaks and fire pit. The water is clear, the fishing successful, the lake is very quiet usually. We have been here before and we will definitely be back.

Great!

This house is located on an excellent part of Lake Arrowhead. It has a sandy swimming area which is hard to find on this lake. The yard was big with a fire pit and bbq area. The house was neat & tidy and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great place

We stayed the week and it was almost perfect. The house was clean and well appointed (make sure you pack your own salt/pepper/spices) and very clean.One disappointing item was that the kayaks were in rough shape. Three had been made homes for rodents and two had a strange, black, tarry substance coating the insides.

Serene and lovely

We typically have limited expectations when renting a vacation home because photos just can't show the whole place very well. We were late making our vacation plans this year, and a lot of what we thought were the best properties were all rented out for the summer. Anyway, this place turned out to be almost perfect for what we wanted - on a lake, not too far north so friends and family from Massachusetts could come visit, quiet, and a place we could bring our sweet dog. This had it all, and the weather was great, too. The only negative was the narrow stairs to the waterfront - we have a daughter who has a physical disability, who can walk with assisting devices, but those stairs were tough for her. The house is very clean, well stocked with what you need, and comfortable. We are already considering a return next year.

Enjoyed our stay on Lake Arrowhead

We enjoyed our stay on Lake Arrowhead. We were able to use the kayaks & paddle board which was quite fun! We were in the lake everyday and look forward to returning to Maine soon! Peg was a wonderful host and very receptive to our requests.

Great location

We had a lot of fun here. We were looking for a quiet place without a lot of contact with other people. This was perfect. Quiet days swimming and boating and quiet evenings playing with the kids. We'd love to come back some day.

Wonderful stay!

The house and property were perfect for our stay. We really enjoyed spending time on, in, and by the beautiful lake, making use of the kayaks, fire pit, and space to play outside. On our rainy day, we got cozy with art work and puzzles inside. The house was clean and well stocked, and perfect set up for 2 families (2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on each floor). We hope to return next year! Many thanks to Peg for this gift of a vacation.

Time Well Spent On Quiet Maine Lake

Had everything we needed to arrive and fully enjoy our visit. Lake Arrowhead is SO quiet compared to the bigger lakes. Really enjoyed this! Perfect getaway.

Great vacation home

This was our 5th time renting this lake house. It has been great for our family. The grandkids are in the lake all the time. Kayaking and fishing are awesome. The home is always very clean. We can't wait for next year. Glenn & Paula

Plenty of room for everyone!

This was our second time staying at this property while we visited family for Thanksgiving. The house is very spacious and clean. The owner is easy to reach and fast to respond. The setting is picturesque on the lake. We will definitely be back.

Owner Is Outstanding

Wonderful place! Everything is as advertised. In addition, maintained a text train with owner to insure all went well. On a side note, we met some of the neighbors and they were all helpful and friendly.

Lakeside Getaway

The property sits directly on Lake Arrowhead in a rural part of Southern Maine. The lake is clean and quite large. It is known as one of Maine’s best bass fishing lakes. Younger folks can have fun fishing, swimming or using the paddle board and 4 kayaks that are included with the rental. The private dock and the swimming area is perfect for young children as it has a gentle slope into the sandy swimming area. If you plan on preparing culinary masterpieces you will find the kitchen lacking but if you’re all about burgers, etc then you will be in good shape. The WiFi is good and the 4 bedrooms make hosting family very workable. Our 4 grandsons spent the entire week in or on the water.

Second time

This was our families second year at this lovely lake house. The grandkids can't stay out of the water. Kayaking and fishing were great. This place has the feel of home which is wonderful. We are working on dates for next year. Can't wait!!!

awesome retreat at Arrowhead.

Just went on a boys outing for Father's Day couldn't ask for anything better the house was immaculate the grounds were nice and Shady with fire pit and a nice dock. Love the place. We hope to be back next year. PS. The neighbors were very nice also.

Great stay!

We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our stay. We especially loved the kayaks and paddle board included with the property. Exploring Lake Arrowhead was so much fun. The lake water is clean and the little sandy area was much appreciated by the youngest in our group. Beds were comfortable, fans provided for hot evenings, all of the amenities you need. The house was very tidy upon our arrival, and we were very comfortable. We saw an eagle, pileated woodpeckers, hummingbirds, chipmunks, turtles, a great blue heron and more. The property feels like part of nature and that really won us over. We had such a great time!

Comfortable and serene

There were 7 adults in our party ranging in age from 50-85!!! We found ALL the comforts of home. Peg has forgotten nothing in her effort to make your stay enjoyable, comfortable beds, soft linens and even the bug spray, sunscreen and logs for the fire( which we replaced). It was so peaceful and so quiet by the lake, very few motor boats. The lake has a nice sandy bottom and levels off gradually so it's easy access. The only "minor" problem we had was the stair to the beach/firepit area. It is steep but doable. A railing would help but otherwise this is the perfect little getaway from it all.

Very nice, well maintained house

The house was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The inclusion of a tv and wi-fi were appreciated. The kitchen was short on cooking supplies. There were not enough knives, and cooking utensils. The beds were comfortable and thee were plenty of towels and bedding. Bath rooms were clean and well stocked with towels. We enjoyed the lakeside area with its fire pit, and enjoyed the kyacks. Our only objection to the property was the limited view of the lake, but we appreciate that removal of trees is not allowed.
