The Italian Courtyard w/t free parking nearby (close to the EUI)

Dear Hannah, Your review shows only one side of the coin, this is why I'd like to reply to your review and explain what happened. You indeed had an unfortunate experience due to the neighbours. However, this has not happened before or after your stay, so we could not expect it in any way. During the check in, you were not alone as my parents were present and offered you assistance with calling the police and helping you feeling safer and I did the same via phone. You instead wanted to be left alone and decide further what to do by yourselves. When you decided to leave, you didn't ask for any help as you wanted to leave immediately (see also your comment "We did not have the time or resources to do that but wanted to leave immediately so we got a hotel near the city center"). You did not accept the resources we offered you, both with my parents and my continuous online assistance. From what you described, it seems that the apartment is located in a remote area, which is absolutely not true. It's in one of the safest residential areas of Florence. Taxis do come if you call them. You should have known (or I could have told you and assisted you with calling you a taxi if you had asked me to) that you cannot hail a taxicab off the streets in Italy but you should go to a taxi stand or call them by phone. Busses do also run until midnight in the street parallel to my apartment. By the way, I'm at least happy to read on your review that you appreciated my partial refund, since no message was sent to me after this happened.

Dear Camille, I'm sorry if you had issues with the noise in the bedroom. It's a very subjective problem, as guests usually do not have any issue with the noise in the room. Maybe ear plugs could have worked in your case. Best wishes, Bitte
