Rampa della barca privata per un facile accesso al fiume per alcuni dei migliori di pesca in AR. Questa posizione è un luogo ideale per la pesca, Duck Hunting, Family Gatherings e Weddings. Situato a 1,5 km dal sito di Petit Jean Grave ea 5 miglia dal Petit Jean State Park. Fai una passeggiata sull'autostrada Old Petit Jean che attraversa la proprietà o cerca manufatti indiani lungo il Trail of Tears che corre lungo il fiume.

The views are fantastic, but interior is a bit dated and could use a good cleaning. I would recommend the owners to go through all the cupboards to remove useless junk, replace the warn furniture, get new sheets for the beds.The cabin served it purpose and grew on us as our stay progressed.

Our time here was beyond relaxing! The house was very clean, well stocked and the deck can’t be beat! We will return.

Well, the first night we got there and it looked really good. We went to bed. My kid woke up screaming I ran into the other bedroom and she had gotten bitten by some really big carpenter ants. Then also we experienced those ants the whole time we were there and the beds in the bathrooms around the doors it was infested then on top of that we had no Internet for any kind of TV or anything. We also have to sleep the first night with a warm house the AC system was off and took forever to cool the house off. The basement door was wide open going down and there was something down there like a raccoon or something moving around. I’ve shut the door and locked. It did not want to find out what was going on down there.

Thank you so much for your input. We recently purchased this property and are working on improvements and making this property even better! We did let the guests know about the internet before arrival and refunded a portion for every day without internet. We wanted to make that right since we know that being without internet can be an inconvenience. We were not aware of any ant issues, but we have addressed this issue and wish we would have known about it during your stay, we could have corrected that. Thank you so much for your input and we have addressed these issues.

Perfectly Peaceful + Panoramic Beauty

The views from inside and on the deck were amazing! Lovely blooming rose bushes greeted us as we pulled up. We were esp. pleased to find 2 bathrooms with showers (I'd only seen 1 listed😅)... property manger was great and so nice+helpful. Owner was quick to respond and graciously allowed us to extend our stay. Caught some catfish, enjoyed meals w/family and waved at the passing barges. And got to have our 4-legged family 🐾🐾 with us also. Couldn't ask for more! A wonderful location we hope to visit again.

This cabin was a wonderful choice. It is a little bit older property but, oh my goodness, It had gorgeous views, Ab amazing deck to sit and relax, cabin was very clean, kitchen was well stocked, beds were heavenly and the host was very attentive. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this property.

Exceeded My Expectations

This is a very nice cabin, large with plenty of seating, and the living room is all windows giving a panoramic view off the river. It has a very large kitchen with plenty of counter and storage space. It is a very private and quite location, and I would go there again.

Great Vacation!

We had a great time. The house was clean. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The view from the deck was beautiful. We did lots of hiking and the location was perfect for that. The owners responded promptly to a question I had. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend.

Great vacation experience

We had a wonderful time here. The view from the deck was amazing. It was peaceful and relaxing. Had some trouble with air conditioning when we first got there. Called up owner, and they sent someone over and problem was quickly fixed. We'll definitely go back again!

Amazing and Stunning

This was the easiest and most relaxing vacation we’ve ever had. My husband was IN LOVE with the area and he’s very hard to impress. Everything we needed was in the home. Which, was very clean and organized. I couldn’t believe how charming the home was. The pictures do not do it justice. The deck overlooking the river was a perfect place for our dogs to lounge and we had to force them to come in because they were so relaxed (unlike in the city where we live). If you want to feel humbled by nature’s beauty, this is it. We will definitely be returning at least once a year if not more. Thank you fir allowing us into the beautiful home to enjoy a taste of what pure peace is like.

River house with the best view

We loved this house and the area so much. The house is super clean and has plenty of room. Just up the mountain from the house is so so much to see and so many hiking options. Breath taking lookouts and mountains to see. This was our first time to Arkansas and it’s so different then where we are from in Texas but it was awesome. The house has so much to offer between fishing spots and the view. Our dogs had a blast at this house as well. My only complaints which are very small and minor is that there isn’t enough extra blankets and pillows. There is moth ball smell in the house bc of moth balls in the basement and it’s very strong but I think some scented plug ins, in the house would resolve the smell very easily. Other then that the house is absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend this house to anyone traveling to Arkansas and wanting to see the state park.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and as we expected based on the advertisement. The location was very quiet. Did not have an opportunity to communicate with the property owner. We highly recommend this place.

Great Arkansas River Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The place felt a little like a beach house except on the river. The elevated patio came right to the edge of the water. Really scenic. We plan to return there.

This location was perfect for some much needed R & R!

Everything was just as it was described on the website. It was the perfect place to recharge after a crazy year and a half. My friends and I had a great time, even though it rained every day. We still enjoyed the wonderful deck that over looks the river. Great place to get back to nature! Thank you Gwen and Bear!

Great location!

We had the best time. The house was just a short drive to Petit Jean, which is absolutely beautiful!! The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Our 10 year old son loved fishing off the rocks and we even caught a few bass!

The pictures on VRBO did not do it justice. The residence is much better in person. Nothing to complain about at all. My friends and I have booked many vacation rentals and this has been the best by far. We will definitely be staying here again.

A Slice of Heaven on Earth!

This home was such a treat! Coming from Kansas, we don't get to experience anything such as this very often. We so enjoyed the peacefulness and solitude of the location, the cleanliness and details of the accommodations -- and we especially appreciated the graciousness of our hosts for sharing such a premier location on the River. Morrilton is the best place to go for groceries which is about 12 mi. However, we brought our own, anticipating distances. All other details are wonderfully provided in a well stocked kitchen. Movies? No worries -- access to many venues are made available via satellite. Internet -- no worries. Petit Jean, as a state park offers many trails to explore that are family, senior, and pet friendly. My husband and I, (both over 60, were pleasantly surprised we managed the most strenuous - Cedar Falls Trail, just beyond Mathers Lodge. The accommodations offered by Gwen and Bear provide an option outside of the park with a much better view and all the nuances of the River! Very highly recommend. We anticipate returning!

Another fantastic stay at River's Bend.

We love this property. Our family stayed here for a perfect "Covid Christmas," but wanted to enjoy the wonderful deck and waterfront campfire ring during warm and sunny weather! Fun to watch the tugs and barges go by, too. Our adult children requested this home as a perfect place to celebrate a graduation. Fantastic hiking nearby at Petit Jean State Park! Highly recommend this property.

Weekend getaway with family

We stayed the weekend in the river house and we loved the amazing view of the sunrise over the Arkansas River from the deck. We sat outside a lot and just enjoyed the view, the River was very peaceful and quiet, there was hardly any boat traffic, we counted two boats and one barge come thru for the entire weekend. In the evenings we took advantage of the fire pit that was set up in the yard, it was nice to just sit out at the picnic table and enjoy the fire at night. The road the house is located on is also very quiet with little traffic and is only 5 minute drive to some amazing lookout points of the mountains and the river. We would recommend this house and host to anyone visiting Petit Jean state park.
