Great stay. Garage was filled with bikes, they have corn hole, disk golf, kayaks, dog leads and a very nice fire place. Beds were comfortable and location across from the beach was great. Would recommend staying here!! Grandkids stayed a couple of nights with use and enjoyed the WE and games in the upstairs closet.

Very clean. ANYTHING you need is available including bikes for all ages. Upstairs rooms suitable for children as the stairs are scary straight up without a railing. Directly across the street from the Park and water. Free concerts held Thurday evenings in the Summer.

We had an amazing stay in Gladstone! The cottage was clean and tidy. Our favorite part were all of the additional amenities that added to the fun and comfort of the vacation. Our teenagers had fun riding the bikes, and playing games. We had brought our own fishing gear, but were surprised to see that there were poles in the garage for our use. The location was ideal for walking to the beach and fishing pier. This property was perfect for our entire family!

We enjoyed our stay in Gladstone. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The weather was frigid while we were there so most of the time we stayed in and enjoyed the fireplace. We brought our own wood but there are gas stations in the area that sell firewood in the winter.We had some delicious breakfasts at the Swedish Pantry in Escanaba. We would like to come back when it is warmer.

Awesome location!

House is nice, clean, and has everything we needed for our stay. The park and the boat ramp are so close by, and the U.P. Is beautiful!

The property was situated in a nice spot across from the park. However, whoever rented it before us must’ve had a golden retriever or dogs with long hair. There was hair in all the corners of the bare floors. Also, the Internet was slow and the TV kept going in and out. We thought we would be able to use the rooms upstairs, but they were too dangerous to go up and down the stairs. The double bed downstairs was too small for us so I ended up sleeping on the sofa. The sofa is old and smelled sour. It also made noise every time I moved. The mattress in the pullout sofa was not good.The kitchen was well equipped, but almost 2 many things. We have no room to put any food in the cupboards. We needed to change our reservations from one month to two weeks, and thank you for letting us do that. I am so glad we did not need to stay there for two weeks since I was not getting a good night sleep.

We’re quite surprised by your feedback. If you had mentioned an issue with pet hair, we would have had our cleaners come and address it immediately. Additionally, the couch is two years old, and we haven’t had any complaints about the internet or TV. We strive to exceed all guests’ expectations, and we’re disappointed that you had concerns and we couldn’t address them for you as we were not made aware until reading your review.

Great location! Enjoyed the park & beach just across the street. Restaurants & bars were within walking distance or just a short ride. Beautiful drive up to Pictured Rocks National Shoreline. Only disappointment was the yard was not fully fenced for our puppy.

Great hosts and home

They were welcoming, and made our fur babies also feel welcome, Boo and Zoey, our dachshunds. We love the beach and the park, which are just across the street. We slept well, the location was quiet.

Great as usual!

We've stayed here a number of times and it's always great! There were some nice upgrades like new flooring and patio furniture this year which we enjoyed. Thanks for another great visit!

Week in the UP

We enjoyed our Monday to Friday in Gladstone. Location across from the park and bay was perfect. My daughter loved exploring town and the surrounding area. It's conveniently located to so much to do in the UP. We would definitely stay here again.

Great winter ice fishing spot

Fished bay de noc, stayed at eagles retreat. Besides tight parking caused by lots of snow, the home and location were great.

The perfect place to unwind!

We just spent 4 nights at The Eagles Retreat and it was perfect for our needs, quite possibly the cleanest place we’ve stayed at! It was great being able to walk directly across the street and be in a park with access to a beach. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay.
