Ripley Beach Trip

Rating Details: The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family was very satisfied with the property. Matter of fact, after they toured the house to select their rooms, they asked if we could come back next year to this same house. East Islands Rentals website described the property to a "T". The location and amenities were great. The house was very clean and well-maintained. Customer service was great. The kids and grandkids enjoyed the shops and restaurants. Granny and Papaw enjoyed sitting on the porch and beach just looking at the ocean and birds. One night a sea turtle had laid a nest of eggs just up from our boardwalk. That was exciting. I would definitely recommend this house and the East Island Rental Agency to family and anyone else. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed everything about this home.

Vacation Paradise

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: East Islands Rentals was wonderful. Staff was informative, personable and helpful. The property at 812 Ocean Blvd. Isle of Palms was beyond fantastic, with king size beds and private baths for each bedroom. The house was elegantly furnished and the kitchen was spacious and beautiful. The pool, beach and hot tub were great, making lounging relaxing and peaceful, while the property location was within easy walking to nearby restaurants and bars for entertainment. Unfortunately the house's private walk way to the beach had its stairs wiped out from Hurricane Irma, but the public walkway was right next door. The only downside was that the patio was loaded with ants and the house did have the occasional roach. Perhaps more attention could be payed to pest control. However, outside of that, I highly recommend 812 Ocean Blvd. as a fantastic vacation rental.
Risposta di VrboOwner, il giorno 31 mag 2022

Great house, location but advertised incorrectly and lots of things didn't work

The good: The house was clean, nicely decorated and in a great location. We would rent again if some items were fixed and managed better. We had 8 people and there was plenty of room. One of the primary reasons we chose this house is the outdoor fireplace and TV which is advertised in the first picture on VRBO. Unfortunately, neither of these worked and when we called the mgt. company they said they haven't worked in sometime and couldn't be fixed. They said the fireplace kept blowing out with the wind and the TV connections outside kept breaking. We would have chosen another house would we have known upfront. Due to this and the multiple times we had to keep calling on items, we did ask for a 10% discount after our stay and we were told "we don't provide discounts", "we've had air conditioners go out and we still don't provide a discount, we try to fix it promptly but no discount." Just beware. We paid to have the hot tub heated but it was not heated when we arrived. When we called we found out that paying to heat the hot tub meant we were allowed to heat the hot tub ourselves. They didn't send us the directions ahead of time so we couldn't use it the first night. There's a process where you turn the heater on and it takes about 40 minutes to heat up and it stays on for 2.5 hours so it takes some planning use. The hot tub stopped working the second day, the indoor fireplace stopped working and we had to request a stopper for the master tub. The management company was quick to come out and fix them but because they didn't happen all at once it was multiple calls and periods of not being able to use them. The cookware was nice but they only had one non-stick pan which made normal cooking difficult. There were other small items but the biggest issue was the outside area not working as advertised.

Dear Guests, We are happy that you found the house to be clean, nicely decorated, and in a great location. We do not advertise the outdoor fireplace as operational and will make it even more clear in future advertising. The outdoor tv is internet enabled but does not have cable. We apologize that you didn't understand how the spa works. Yes, it is an on-demand system which is quite common. We did have the pool company out to confirm everything was operational. When you leave the doors open the indoor firepace pilot light will blow out when it is windy. When we checked it when you called the pilot light had simply blown out. We appreciate you staying with us. Sincerely, East Islands

Great location, lovely home

Just like the photos, this house is gorgeously decorated and fabulously located. The property management team came up a bit short for a problem that we encountered but other than that, I highly recommend this property to others. Loved the convenience of the elevator for lugging our groceries and luggage up and down stairs. The pool is perfect for little ones because it is fenced in and adults could relax without running after escaping toddlers.
