Great vacation spot. 10/10 experience. Great view! Parking is in convenient location just a few steps from your front door. The AC was a huge plus the TVs and decor was nice and updated.I would definitely stay here next time, I’m back in Kauai. Highly recommend great staff great location just a few steps away from Poipu Beach and a nice drive along the beach line when going shopping or to dinner.

Wow! This property was excellent! From the time we arrived on the beautiful property we were overwhelmed with the majestic view, cleanliness of the unit and the surrounding grounds. Parking was easy, the swimming pool had an oceanfront view, the unit itself featured two working tvs, internet and all the items you would ever need in the kitchen. Lots of available seating and lounging and eating areas both inside and out on the lanai. Having air conditioning that functioned perfectly was a plus for the warm and humid days/nights. Our host kept in contact via email and text messaging with great check in and followup information. Of particular notice, was we were on the island when Hurricane Lowell hit Kauai. The host came by and moved in all the furniture off the lanai in preparation and also continued to give us several updates and advise and reminders as the hurricane approached. I felt COMPLETELY safe in the unit during the hurricane. Thank you! I would highly recommend this place and go back again!

Great time in Poipu

We enjoyed our time on Kauai and our stay in Poipu very much. The location of the condo was a 5 minute walk to the beach. Sunsets from the deck or at the beach were wonderful. The unit was clean and looked just as the pictures showed in the listing. The unit has some age on it but was very nice.

This is a fantastic gem location with gorgeous views of the ocean and all the furnishings were super comfortable and gave you an authentic Hawaiian feel. The only downside is no air conditioning, which can make the condo super hot and uncomfortable at night to sleep. We learned on the last night, it could have been easily been remedied by lowering shades for afternoon sun to keep heat out. They did have at least 3 fans, along with 2 ceiling fans.

BAD!

This place really smells. It has not been kept up. It may be the carpet holding mold but it was so bad my partner could not breath in the apartment. We had to call the management company and ask for other accommodations. They say they won’t return our costs for thIs dump but we could not stay. It was cleaned up but the underlying foundation of the decor of the unit has not been kept up.

Aloha Wendi. We are sorry you did not like the fact that the unit did not have AC. From your statements to us when here, I understand your partner has allergies and had we known ahead of time that AC was required, we could have provided you with options with AC. Also please know that had you stayed long enough and opened up the unit, it would have cooled down and aired out. We do keep units closed for security prior to guests checking in. Also, please know the carpets are cleaned regularly and do not contain mold. May I also suggest you pick a Premier or Premier Plus unit as well. Those by definition are upgraded and/or new and thus might meet your expectations. Aloha.

The complex is in a great location and management was fantastic, but property is in need of work.

This property is in a good location with an easy walk to two beaches. The complex is well managed. Staff were excellent communicators and it was very easy to check-in and out. Parking was easy, the grounds and facilities were all well kept. However, as other reviews have stated, this property is in dire need of a refreshment. The appliances and TV were newer but the bathroom and kitchen were very dated and worn out. All kitchen utensils, cutlery, dishes, glasses, pots and pans etc. were scratched, worn out, and should be replaced. They looked like someone picked them up at a garage sale as they were all mismatched. In the bathroom, all of the metal surfaces, such as the shower curtain rod, were rusty. The tub was stained, discolored, and corroding along the floor line. The bathroom fan was not working. The TV was good and had a good selection of channels and streaming services. The only source of music was an old iPod player that had the original wide iPod docking station that hasn't been in use for many years. There is a land-line phone, but it is not connected to a line so therefore is unusable. They provided beach chairs and a cooler. unfortunately the chairs were also worn out and torn. We didn't use them as we were afraid that they would fail. The lid on the cooler was broken. The place needs some updating and TLC.

Beautiful location

Nice condo with great views. Some updates are in need but comfortable & met our vacationing needs. Chatter from other tenants on their lanai for a week during our stay which was problematic for me as a light sleeper but not so much for my hubby. Can be expected people want to visit - I just put the fan on high. Bed / pillows comfortable. New washer & dryer was nice. Overall we had a great stay.

Peaceful retreat with lovely view

Property is wonderful, quiet and landscaping is beautiful. Everything well tended, condo was spacious and comfortable, lovely view of waves! The property managers were so helpful and friendly! I’ll look forward to staying in the same condo next time.

Great location, very clean, well-appointed, and very nice view!

Everything was great about this rental! The only issue is that the afternoon sun bakes the apartment unless you have the lanai shades down all day and keep all the floor and ceiling fans going day and night. It might be time to consider putting in AC. Otherwise, it was really nice, clean, well-appointed apartment, and it was a pleasure to stay there. Thank you so much!

The resort is lovely and well cared for. Location with walking access to beach and park is excellent. The unit is ideal with an expansive view including ocean and mountains. Well equipped, comfortable and clean.

We stayed several days and had a great time. Most of our time was spent outside, but the location is convenient, and the accommodations are clean and comfortable.

Excellent property. We would definitely stay here again and definitely recommend to friends.

The Nihi Kai Villas are in an excellent location, yet private. It is near the beach, surf shop for renting gear, and a great restaurant. It is also near other shopping areas if you have a car. We found our unit clean and ready for us when we arrived. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. Any questions were quickly addressed. As a side note, we arrived late at night and had some difficulty finding the office and our unit. I believe they did provide a map of the complex with my reservation but I did not have it with me. Take your map. Just a suggestion and word of warning to anyone who expects to arrive after the office closes at 5pm.
