Amazing place close to the beach

We had a wonderful stay here. A super comfy and spacious condo very close to the lovely beach and Provincial Park. Looking forward to coming again!

Wonderful property and location, with a generous and thoughtful host! This is the second time my family has stayed here, and we love it. Fully equipped kitchen even including storage containers for leftovers or picnics, beach towels and toys for beach visits, amazing BBQ on the deck, comfortable beds, a very accessible bathroom on the main floor for my aging parent with mobility challenges—we will definitely stay again!

The townhouse was beautiful. Clean, comfortable and quiet. The kitchen had everything you needed including some extra things like spices, oil, storage containers, foil etc… super helpful!! We loved taking the provided beach chairs to the beach to make sure we watched a sunset and a sunrise! Enjoyed seeing all the bunnies hopping around or lying in the grass in front of the townhouse. Super helpful in that 1 bedroom is on main floor and was great for my parents so no stairs to climb up and down, plus bathroom across hallway! We were an adult family of 5 and it met all our needs, the 2 bedrooms upstairs each with ensuites were great plus washer and dryer!! Weather was amazing and would for sure stay here again! 10/10

Rathtrevors Finest Place to stay

The Tanglewood development and this home are the premier place to stay. The VRBO listing accurately describes the home and area. If Parksville is your destination then book this and you will not be disappointed.

Great location - close to the beach and to town. Place is clean and accommodated our family. Only down fall was not having air conditioning on these hot BC summer days.

Amazing condo amazing location

Our 3bed 3bath townhouse was the perfect size for our extended family getaway. Lovely large bedrooms and bathrooms and great open concept living/dining/kitchen area for gatherings meals and right beside Rathtrevor Park. Gas stove and bbq were great as was the large fridge. Would highly recommend

Long weekend by the beach :)

This is really an amazing property, and is actually better than the pictures. Great kitchen, well stocked. Loved the 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms so both my teenagers felt like they had their own space. Close to the amazing Parksville beach, close to the pub...can't get much better than that for a relaxing long weekend!

Your dream getaway

What an amazing home! So much space to relax, open the windows and smell the ocean water, and take a short 2 minute walk straight to the beach, who could ask for more? Susan, you have a fantastic place there, great job!

Great for our whole family!

Great location, wonderfully appointed, beach toys for our children to play with, lovely touches with the utensils and dishware in the kitchen. Just enough ground coffee to get 3 adults through our trip with 3 kids. :)

Beautiful Property

This property is beautifully decorated with lovely linens and thoughtful details. I would have appreciated more TP and the pans which is pretty standard for rentals were not great quality. Tea towels would have been nice as well. Overall the property was delightful, would definitely book again.

Outstanding Parksville Accoms

Perfect family get-a-way to say the least. The property was stunning/spotless upon arrival and the communication was like communicating with NASA; clear, quick and efficient. Max 3 mins walk to the beach where you can spend all day watching the tide go in and out, see tiny crabs, look for sand dollars and simply enjoy the beauty of Parksville. Short drive to the town where you’ll find more beaches, restraints and playgrounds (highly recommend the community centre playground for kids). Overall would definitely stay again - Thank you Susan!

Intergenerational Family Vacation with space for all

This is a beautiful property with fairly easy access to the beach and a great layout for kids and adults. The until is very well stocked - we were never looking for anything for very long and loved having lots of stuff for the beach (chairs, a wagon, sand toys for the kids). We will definitely be back to Tanglewood. Such a great weekend and Susan was a really friendly and responsive host. Thank you, Susan!

Second time stay

I took my daughters for a vacation and we stayed here for the second year in a row. The home is very nice and has everything that you need, other than food! It is in a quiet neighbourhood and is just a short walk down to the beach and Rathtrevor Park. You can also walk the other way and you are just minutes to the mini golf and ice cream shop. It is just a short drive into town and you have easy access to the highway if you want to go visit Coombs, Cathedral Grove, the falls or Horne Lake caverns. I highly recommend this rental and hope to continue to stay there as a new tradition.

Great property in a great spot

Thank you for letting us enjoy your amazing property!! It was perfect for our family. We’ve stayed in two other tanglewood properties and this has been our favourite and we fully plan to return. The place was very clean. The beds were comfortable and we really appreciated the wagon and beach toys. I booked this in a panic and didn’t fully read the description but I was blown away. The bedrooms were large and each had their own bathroom. Each bathroom was fully stocked which was a pleasant surprise. Two bedrooms upstairs with one on the main floor would be perfect for a young family travelling with grandparents. Two balconies with a tiny view of the beach; perfect for checking if the tide was in or out. We are already planning our next vacation here!

Beautiful beach house

The property itself is BEAUTIFUL with high ceilings, windows, deep bath. All is well cared for. Each room has a private bathroom and bathing area which was great for us and a main floor bedroom that was helpful for my father who is in his 80’s. Well stocked with chairs towels, wagon and beach toys. The walk is short (approx 5 minutes) though steep down to the beach and is on a driveway which was a bit challenging for grandparents. A general store is what is accessible if you are not driving into town. Furniture is all light coloured so I needed to keep a close eye on our two year old though was able to go out to a small front green space for some body movement. My spouse found the beds a bit small but I thought it was fine and they were comfortable. Easy check in and check out. Owner was great and responsive to questions. Likely would visit again.

Perfect location for families with little toddlers

We loved our stay and would highly recommend for anybody, but particularly families with little kiddos. We had two-year olds who loved visiting the Rathtrevor beach everyday. Just a short walking distance, you'll be met with lots of shallow tide pools safe for kids, sand and ocean life like crabs and clams. It was also perfect for flying kites! It's probably one of the most well-stocked vacation properties we visited. The kitchen has everything you need (including plastic plats and cups for kids); there are beach towels, wagon and beach chairs; on the patio desk there is a BBQ grill; and the washroom has shampoo, body wash, lotion, and more. The house also comes with one playpen and one high chair. Playpen is in a good shape but the tray on the wooden high chair is leaning downwards so we recommend bringing your own portable feeding chair for infants and toddlers. One minor challenge: We would visit again but with our own towels. The towels were stinky unfortunately and need industrial sanitizing. Overall, a very clean, ideally located property in a quiet neighbourhood with a nice host who is excellent with communication. High recommend!

Wonderful stay. Short stroll to beach

We had a lovely time. A great set up for families. A short stroll to the beach, Rathtrevor Park, The Black Goose Pub with a lovely outdoor patio. Lots of beach toys were provided.
