Questa casa è stata costruita su misura nel 2011 e sembra nuova di zecca. Presenta un'ampia zona giorno e pranzo aperta, con un ponte avvolgente che si affaccia sul fiume; una suite privata al primo piano con due camere da letto e un proprio bagno; un'immensa suite padronale al secondo piano con cabina armadio, doppio bagno, molta luce e terrazza privata; e una nuovissima sala TV / giochi al piano terra.

Situato nel cuore della penisola di Blue Hill nel Maine, Camp Stream si trova su un terreno di sei acri in un ambiente rurale proprio sul fiume Bagaduce, che puoi vedere da quasi ogni stanza della casa. Avrai tutta la tranquillità e la privacy che potresti desiderare. C'è un percorso rapido dalla casa al fiume dove è possibile lanciare kayak, canoa o tubo galleggiante.

La cucina è dotata di elettrodomestici nuovi di zecca ed è completamente attrezzata con tutto il necessario, oltre a una grande dispensa. Forniamo asciugamani e lenzuola, e una lavatrice e asciugatrice sono disponibili per il vostro uso. C'è la connessione WiFi gratuita e TV satellitare. Abbiamo un custode meraviglioso che farà in modo che la casa sia perfettamente pulita e pronta per il tuo arrivo in ogni modo.

Se sei già stato al Camp Stream, noterai alcune modifiche. Siamo nuovi proprietari e abbiamo completamente ri-decorare e ri-arredare la casa, portandola su un gradino senza perdere il suo fascino o intimità. Noterai anche che abbiamo completamente completato la grande stanza nel seminterrato - completa con le sue viste sul Bagaduce - e l'abbiamo trasformata in una moderna sala TV / giochi / famiglia.

La casa si trova su una radura luminosa e soleggiata proprio sul fiume, con molto spazio per il divertimento all'aperto e barbecue (c'è una griglia a gas). Oltre la radura ci sono fitti boschi verdi da un lato e il gentile Bagaduce dall'altro. NOVITÀ PER IL 2017: abbiamo diluito gli alberi lungo il fiume, per offrire una vista molto migliore dal ponte e abbiamo costruito il percorso verso l'acqua per il kayak, ecc. Troviamo la posizione tranquilla e bella e i panorami sono in continua evoluzione.

Comfortable and quiet

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is spacious, comfortably furnished and conveniently located near Blue Hill and Sedgewick. The kitchen and household items are all good quality, and the pantry was conveniently stocked with dry goods.

This house is amazing - roomy, clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated, beautifully landscaped and many items that you need for your stay are provided for. The views are fantastic and the area offers many wonderful opportunities for exploring nature, and shopping/supermarkets are within a 20 min drive. The only downside was seeing that the property has several surveillance cameras in the outer areas where you would expect to be hanging out (deck, hammock, front) which do not appear in the main property photo in the listing. I know for security purposes owners like to put these in, and I cannot say for sure they were connected/on but still, it felt invasive. Nevertheless, we had a great time and would love to visit the area again.

Perfect place to get way

Spacious and comfortable

This was our second stay in this house and it was just as perfect as before. There is plenty of room to spread out for privacy or congregate in the living room area to socialize (or just gaze out at the water). The weather was perfect, allowing us to take the mail boat/ferry from Stonington to Isle au Haut for hiking. We hope to be back again next year.

Wonderful Week at Camp Stream

This was my family’s fifth visit to Camp Stream and it was the same great experience as our previous stays. We love coming here! The house and location are beautiful and a great escape from everyday life. Hope to return next summer!

Vacation Gem

Gorgeous, quiet location right on the Bagaduce River. The lovely town of Blue Hill is a stone's throw away. We rented kayaks from the Activity Shop and went out every morning, then followed that with a hike on one of the Blue Hill Heritage Trust hikes nearby. The house is extremely well-appointed with everything you could possibly need for a pleasant stay. Our family has been renting this property for a week in the summer for a few years now.

Beautiful Setting

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Sedgwick. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The views of the river and surrounding woods were absolutely beautiful. Would definitely recommend staying at this home.

Excellent in every way

This is a well appointed and comfortable house in our favorite part of Maine, with a very accommodating host. With Lee (then a hurricane) barreling toward the Downeast region on our scheduled departure day, Douglas graciously allowed us to extend our stay. The house is spacious with everything a guest might need, and more. I'd swap my kitchen layout for Douglas' in a heartbeat. There are wonderful views of the Bagaduce throughout the house. The property is large and private while just a 10-minute drive to Blue Hill. Despite the unusually damp weather for September, we got in many of our favorite hikes (Blue Hill Mountain, Barred Island, Great Pond Mountain, and Crockett's Cove) plus a few new trails (Harriman Point Preserve is a winner). We were also pleased to find that the Barncastle restaurant is under new management with a wonderful menu. We enjoyed dinner there one night. If you have to work, the internet is strong and reliable. Or if you have a rain day, there are plenty of cushy chairs and sofas for reading and admiring the scenery, We look forward to staying again in 2024.

Beautiful home on the Bagaduce River

Comfortable, clean, and the best-stocked kitchen I have ever seen in a rental. Beautiful views of the Bagaduce River. The host was immediately responsive when we had a minor problem. We enjoyed the deck, the grill, the hammock, and the outdoor dining area. Near to good grocery and fish stores. Ceiling and two tall fans helped in hot weather (no AC). The home is a little isolated; we enjoy being able to walk into a town.

Outstanding

Loved it! It’s a 60 minute drive to Acadia Nat’l Park, and only about 30 minutes for all the other places we visited. Great hiking in Blue Hill, Holbrook Sanctuary and of course at Acadia. We had fun watching/visiting/purchasing pottery from Mark Bell at his Pottery studio. We enjoyed mornings and evening relaxing in the home and out on the deck! Watched deer each day, kayaked in the river, played new board games, cooked fresh lobster purchased from Greenhead Lobster, fresh off the boat in Stonington! The kitchen had it all! The owners have gone above and beyond. We’d highly recommend this property!

Family Getaway

Wonderful newer Home well stocked with all the living items necessary for a great stay. Kayaks and spacious deck were a hit . Water access and the view to water needs a bit of work (still was manageable). Close enough to Acadia and places to eat. Loved. Blue Hill and downtown Ellsworth. Thanks Doug, Jim and Team. Relaxing home base

All I can say is WOW! Such a wonderfully maintained home in a beautiful relaxing setting. It was the perfect home base for my family to relax and explore Maine. Lovely Riverside Getaway

Modern well appointed home located next to the quiet Bagaduce river. Outstanding kitchen, stupendous master suite on the top floor, well set up entertainment room in the finished basement, lovely covered outdoor eating area just off of the kitchen. Our only dismay was the the need for a shade on the sliding door in the master bedroom (privacy is not an issue but the morning light would wake me). We would come back in a heartbeat.

Great retreat in a great location

Love Camp Stream

This is our third time staying at Camp Stream. The house is beautiful, impeccably clean, and so well stocked with everything you need to make it feel like home. The Blue Hill peninsula is so lovely and peaceful. Perfect for getting away. There’s nothing like an early AM paddle on the Bagaduce to start the day right! Thank you Douglas!

Camp Stream

We walked in and immediately felt at home - beautiful decor, beyond clean, and the kitchen! I can surely see why so many of the reviews are repeat visitors. I have a new solo Adirondack Guideboat - the Bagaduce was so perfect for rowing. Then there were all the hikes, exploring Deer Isle, trips to Acadia. All that and we were blessed with a week of great weather. Appreciated the prompt and helpful communication with Douglas. Still remembering little things like the neighbor that had her garden produce out every day on the honor system! Oh, and we did water everything and even weeded the flower beds. It was a pleasure! Thank you Douglas.

Nice Roomy Home!

Great clean home in a rural location, yet close to many great little historic towns! The house is very roomy and is as pictured. There is so much light in the house and we loved the porches! My husband and I enjoyed our stay here and even took the double kayak out to Bagaduce Lunch. A fun little outing and be sure to land your kayak at the little park before the bridge rather than going under the bridge to the Bagaduce Lunch dock, because the waters under the bridge can be rough depending on the tide. We did lots of hiking in the area and even drove up to the quaint little town of Lubec on the Canadian border and did some awesome hikes around the Quoddy Head Lighthouse and had a great lunch at Fisherman's Wharf where we ate some of the best crabcakes we've ever had! Also, LDI Lobster, not too far from the house, has some fantastic crab rolls! No complaints here!

The Perfect Getaway

This was our third visit to Camp Stream and we LOVE staying here! The location and home are beautiful! The kitchen is fully stocked with the utensils needed to prepare dinner which we loved! House was clean and Doug has always been a thoughtful and responsive host! Hoping to return again next summer!

Perfect place to stay in Maine!

This house exceeded my expectations for my first trip to Maine! Stunning decor, lots of space, very clean, stocked with anything you would need, and great location! We thoroughly enjoyed the seclusion of this home but still being close to Bar Harbor, Belfast, and other great places in Downeast Maine. Having a supermarket and Walgreens within a close drive was also helpful. We really enjoyed the popovers and donuts at Sandy's Blue Hill Cafe and lobster at Perry's Lobster Shack. We are looking forward to coming back very soon! Thank you Douglas!!!

Another wonderful year

This was the second time we've stayed at Douglas' house. We love that the location has easy access to Blue Hill, Castine, and Stonington. The house is clean and has all the kitchen equipment you will ever need, and more. The lower level/basement has a very comfortable seating area for movie nights. The bedrooms are comfortable and the master is very large. The sun comes up early so bring eye shades! Douglas clearly takes good care of this home, and went the extra step for us when VRBO tried to over charge us. Thank you!

Total Relaxation

We had a wonderful stay here last year and this year's stay was even better! We paddled on the river almost every morning, hiked the Blue Hill trails, checked out several of the local sites and restaurants, and made a lot of meals in the cook's kitchen. In addition, it is an easy commute to Bar Harbor (about 45 minutes away). The house is contemporary, very well-appointed and has beautiful views of the river, that the photos do not do justice. The serenity of the property and the Blue Hill Peninsula are in direct contrast to the craziness of MDI during peak season. We loved our July stay this year!

Great Blue Hill vacation

We are a family of 5 (3 kids between ages 4-10) and had a lovely stay at Camp Stream during our July 2022 trip to the Blue Hill area in Maine. This house is fully stocked with everything you might need. The pantry and kitchen are probably the among the best we've experienced in our many years of renting vacation homes. We rented kayaks from the Activity Shop down the road and they delivered it right to the house. We really enjoyed being right on the water and we all kayaked daily. The house is very comfortable, clean, and the location can't be beat! We would absolutely stay here again.

We live at the Jersey Shore, about 45 minutes outside New York City. Having grown up in Philadelphia and South Jersey, respectively, neither one of us ended up too far from home! One of us an a corporate attorney, and the other is a hotel and restaurant manager. We love to travel ourselves, and we take special pride in offering our guests everything we think they'll need to get the most enjoyment from their time in Maine.

We fell in love with coastal Maine many, many years ago (one of us first vacationed there in the 1970s!), and we are delighted to have our own little slice of the coast to call our own and share with others. We spent several summer seasons combing the real estate offerings in the mid-Coast region, and our minds just kept coming back to this house. Finally, we realized: Camp Stream was the place for us -- no need to keep looking! We hope you will feel the same way.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

The setting of this house can't be beat. Nestled in its own little clearing, with the Bagaduce River flowing by just several yards away, the house fits in perfectly with its surroundings. Its open floor plan, emphasizing light and panoramic views, combined with a wrap-around deck (with still another deck off the master bedroom), works perfectly to blend the outdoors and the indoors. The previous owners took wonderful care of it and made many wonderful design choices, including two large 'walls of windows' in the living room and master bedroom.

We've now made Camp Stream our own, but in truth, it really didn't need anything that wasn't already there!
