La brezza dell'oceano e le viste vi delizieranno dalla nostra casa a pianta aperta e al piano opposto mentre vi rilassate o cenate nella zona giorno al secondo piano, veranda protetta o veranda. Il secondo piano ha una cucina di grandi dimensioni con ripiani in granito, una TV / DVD da 36 ", un sacco di libri da recuperare durante la lettura estiva, e una VISTA ECCEZIONALE sull'oceano, oltre a viste panoramiche sul campo da golf e" Old Baldy ". Il nostro lotto immobiliare di grandi dimensioni ti offre privacy e solitudine dal rumore e dai vicini.

Il tavolo della sala da pranzo può ospitare dalle otto alle dieci; il tavolo da pranzo esterno può ospitare dalle quattro alle sei, inoltre è presente un bar per i bambini. Il portico schermato con un ventilatore a pale e sedie imbottite ti permetterà di trascorrere lunghe ore godendo il sistema audio interno / esterno mentre ti godi un caffè, un pasto o un drink mentre guardi le navi che passano. Le navi si avvicinano alla riva alla fine della nostra strada prima di procedere sul fiume Cape Fear, quindi porta il tuo binocolo per catturare i dettagli sui ponti della nave mentre passano!

Le due camere matrimoniali, ognuna con bagno, letto king-size con materasso pillow-top e TV 36 'con telecomando in armadio, rendono questa casa perfetta per DUE FAMIGLIE. Le camere da letto principali si aprono su un portico all'ombra a tutta lunghezza rivolto verso l'oceano, perfetto per fare un sonnellino o leggere sull'amaca. Le altre camere da letto, ciascuna con due letti singoli, condividono un bagno completo. 'Second Wind', costruito nel 2003, è un'app. 2800 piedi quadrati, e ha pavimenti in legno in tutto, soffitti di nove piedi e accesso INTERNET WIRELESS GRATUITO.

A circa 200 metri dall'oceano, a un isolato da South Beach sull'Oceano Atlantico e ad un isolato a piedi dal BHI Club e dal ristorante Horizons, recentemente ampliati, dove si può godere di golf, piscina, sala da pranzo formale o informale, lounge, tennis e palestra interna, rendi questo un luogo UNICO sull'isola. Amerai la comodità della colazione informale, il pranzo e la cena presso l'Horizons o nei ristoranti all'interno del BHI Club, o rilassanti a bordo piscina presso la piscina BHI. Sono disponibili due biciclette (noleggio bici disponibile anche sull'isola se necessario), sedie a sdraio e ombrellone e due golf cart (uno da sei, uno da quattro), insieme a un rimorchio che si aggancia a un carrello da golf per il trasporto sdraio, refrigeratori e ombrelloni in spiaggia! Il BHI Club è INCLUSO nel prezzo dell'affitto estivo. Shoals Club è facoltativo ed extra. Non vorrai lasciare la nostra posizione e casa serene e tranquille, solo una passeggiata o un giro in bicicletta dal BHI Club e dall'oceano.

Fantastic house - Fantastic host - Everything was great!

Last minute trip to BHI and we were shocked that a place this awesome was available in season. Susan is a wonderful host - very responsive and seemed genuinely concerned with how we were doing throughout our stay. The third floor (second living space floor) is exactly what you want in a beach house - very open, gorgeous views every way you look, and an absolute picture frame of a shot of the sunset. Highly recommend, we'll definitely be back!

Perfect for families

This was perfect for two families with little kids. We loved the upstairs living space with views of the ocean in every direction. Two masters and two golf carts made it comfortable for the adults, and we spent hours on the screened in porch listening to the waves. We would definitely return.

Great Family Getaway

Conveniently located near the BHI Club. With all 4 bedrooms on the first floor and living room on the second floor there was privacy for those that wanted to go to bed early. Great screen porch on the upper floor as well with expansive views. All the chairs and umbrellas needed for beach. Made for memorable family vacation.

Wonderful Family Get-away

We just returned today from a memory-filled week at Second Wynd. The home was lovely, with the screened in porch being our favorite hang out area in the house - always a lovely breeze and great view of the ocean...we could hear the waves lapping in the distance. We had 7 adults and our two little granddaughters...the house was more than big enough for us to gather in any area. Great location - right next to BHI club, not far from the harbor area, the Market or the Shoals club. The East Beach is one of the nicest beaches we've ever been to. We fell in love with Bald Head Island and everyone in the family wants to make it our new annual family vacation.

First time on bald head

Our first time on bald head island was wonderful! Loved the house and our location. Ocean views from three of four sides of the house. Lots of privacy at the house. Perfect for our family.

Great House in a great little location !!

Just finished up a fantastic week and loved the house. The lay out is perfect and the house is well kept and clean. We spent mornings and evenings on the screened porch that has fantastic views and a cool breeze. It’s in a great location as it’s right across the street from West beach and extremely close to BHI. It’s also a very quite and private area. Susan (the owner) is super responsive and very pleasant to deal with.

Awesome getaway for our family!

Thanks for a great few days at BHI! The house exceeded our expectations and allowed us to spend quality time together and make many new memories. Even with a couple of rainy and windy hours we enjoyed watching the storm roll through and played board games, etc. We appreciated how well appointed the house was, but most of all the screened porch and awesome views in all directions of the island. We’ve always loved BHI, and will certainly be back soon!

The perfect retreat!

Spacious, fully equipped, bright and airy. Terrific panoramic views of the water with ample breezes on porches as well as sunning options. We were so comfortable and relaxed, thanks for a wonderful stay!!!

Relaxing Getaway

Thank you for an incredibly wonderful and relaxing getaway at second wind in Bald Head island. Your home provided just the atmosphere we were looking for. It was conveniently located, cozy and Made us feel right at home. For 8 adults and a 2 year old, we found that we had everything we could possibly need, and felt right at home. The island was beautiful, and we cannot say enough how much we enjoyed our vacation. Thank you again

Perfect Summer Vacation

We had absolutely the best week!! Everything was absolutely perfect! The house was very well equipped and everything WORKED...which is a huge plus when you are renting...I have not always had that be the case. The beds and linens were very comfortable which is also a huge plus in a rental and when you are vacation! The house was very clean and the porch was so incredibly comfortable to sit on and enjoy that gorgeous view. We loved sitting back a little from the road but also be able to see the ocean and activity below. We enjoyed the board games as well as the sound system- big plus to the house for us! You were wonderful to work with and I will definitely be in touch to rent again! THANK YOU!

Wonderful Week-End

What a wonderful week-end my family of six had. Your beach home is beautiful and so very comfortable. There is beauty from every window. My grandsons and I saw the sunrise and sunset on Saturday. Beautiful! I loved standing at the kitchen sink and seeing the ocean. The boys freaked out when a huge ship went by. It was like it was in the living room! We loved the porches, all of them. It rained just a bit but not a problem. The cabinet was full of games for all ages. We only had to rent one bike for the 6 year old, all others were perfect. We loved having the two carts, one for the golfers and one for the entire family when we went on adventures to the beach or lunch. We walked to the pool and park. It was just perfect. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We will be back, making more memories.

We live in Raleigh and use the cottage ourselves for our family one weekend or week per month (in the summer), so we are not absentee landlords. We can stay on top of the little things that can go missing or get broken with everyday summer usage, in particular. Our maids are the best and keep the house beautiful. Since we use the house regularly ourselves, we attend to the details that need attention. We are only a phone call away, in Raleigh, and have many friends and neighbors on the island. So, we are not distant, absentee owners.

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

We vacationed at many North Carolina beaches before settling on Bald Head Island. At other beaches, though, we spent half of our time going from hot cars to the store, restaurants, etc., along crowded roadways. At Bald Head, riding in the golf carts along the quiet steets, shared by bicycles and roller bladers, is half the fun. We selected the location of our cottage, 'Second Wind,' because of the great ocean views, privacy of the oversized lit, unobstructed ocean views down Water Thtush Court to the ocean, and proximity to the BHI Club and ocean access. Because we have an estate lot, larger than the typical lot, we have privacy from neighbors and virtually no road noise, as we are on a quiet cul de sac. We walk to the BHI Club for the pool, golf, to use the athletic room, lunch or dinner. We especially like take-out lunch of dinner from Horizons, which we often eat from our screened in porch or indoor dining table, watching the ships go by (unique to our lot) or the sun go down. Our long and derp porches are the best feature of our house! Second Wind is great for family gatherings. We built the house so that two families could enjoy the house together, with two master bedrooms, each with king bed and bath. We often invite another family to join us for long weekends at BHI.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

The porches are the best feature of our house! We live on the porches in the summer, and you will too, on your vacation. The views are incredible and the upholstered furnishings on the upper level allow you to while away the hours in comfort. The screened in porch with paddle fan allows you to stay outside late into the night, without bugs, and socialize with your family or friends, while listening to the outdoor sound system. The large indoor dining table is great for building puzzles. Other great features of 'Second Wind' are the ample sized master bedrooms with king beds and pillow-top mattresses. The next best feature is the oversized lot, which means you can play your music and laugh a little louder. Second Wind is a welcoming and restful home away from home.
