Lockbox was faulty. Gate had been removed to the outdoor fence so dogs could get out. Inside the rugs & carpet are in smelly bad shape. Really most items in the house looked like they needed a refresh - the scratchy, picked towels to the thermal blanket with holes - But then the smell was just so pervasive, I felt like I was sleeping in an ashtray. We left early.

The house was cute and close to Blowing Rock and Boone. The fence for the yard goes around back of house and nice area and provides privacy from neighbors but doesn't have a gate on the front, not a big deal but have to keep pets on leash.

the TV's where not on a cable host or sat streaming apps worked but its a lot of work a pre set of apps like netflix or a free service would have made it easy

This was perfect for our small family of 3 to come visit big brother at app state. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Enjoyed the hot tub as well!

We loved staying at the Bear Cottage! Awesome location, close to downtown and The Tweetsie railroad. The house was clean and adorable - our toddler especially loved all the stuffed bears in her room!

So close to town. Fast internet service - was able to work remotely (not typical in many mountain rentals we have stayed with). Great service.

Enjoyable stay

Enjoyable stay and bungalow, issue with hot tub not working until the last day and only used the fire place once because of smoke coming into the cabin and setting alarms off

Great Place!

Wonderful stay at this cabin - great location, quick drive to Blowing Rock and to the parkway. If anything, the cabin is nicer than it appears in the listing photos. We'll absolutely be back.

Nice get away

We enjoyed our stay in Bear Bungalow. It was in a great location, the hot tub was nice, bed was comfy, kitchen well stocked. We loved seeing deer roaming around eating the apples. It was a fabulous weekend!

Bear Bungalow in Blowimg Rock

Great property, just as advertised. A bit hard to find, perhaps a sign at the fork on Sunrise would be helpful. Great location though!
