The host was responsive to our questions and we enjoyed a lovely stay. The unit is well appointed and very comfortable, especially after spending a day at the nearby beach or pool. We all loved the pool pass to the Hilton and especially the grandkids. Grocery and restaurants or shopping are close by and the unit itself is situated to feel quiet and secluded, like a little slice of paradise. I would definitely return.

Amazing property!

We had a fabulous time and the host made it wonderful, from before we even arrived on the island, we knew what to expect, and how to get to the property, the amenities were amazing, and we were sad to leave. We look forward to booking a return trip for our next vacation on the big island.

Wonderful place to stay!

We’ve stayed in this complex before but not in this unit. Management was very accommodating and easy to work with. The home is very comfortable and well equipped. Access to the beach park with restaurant is a huge perk. We’d absolutely stay here again.

Big Island Vacation

Place is very nice. Location is great. Came for Ironman race and stayed for family vacation. Beach Club is very nice perk. Snorkeling was excellent. Beds were small for teenage boys.

The beach club truly is a perk and the snorkeling gear at the home really comes in handy. We are sorry that the kids thought the beds were too small as they are standard size twin beds. Loved it and will do it again!

It had all the comforts of home. Clean and nicely decorated. Located close to grocery store and the complex recreation area. The managers were available to answer questions and were instrumental in making our vacation ... Great!

Beautiful and relaxing

This is our second time staying at this complex, and we love it because of the location and ease of access to all the Big Island has to offer. This unit has a lovely golf course view, and the lanai is perfect for a quiet morning coffee with only the birds for company. The master suite and spa-like bathroom are luxurious and spacious. The kitchen is very well equipped with every utensil you could need and a good selection of basic spices, oils, tea and coffee. This unit is very close to the entrance making it convenient for morning walks or bike rides and access to the pool area. It is immaculate and well decorated, - all in all a top notch residence.

Very comfortable house in a nice neighborhood

This house was a great homebase for our family of 3 for a visit to the Big Island. The house is large enough to accommodate more people, easily could handle a family with three kids. Everything was nice: fans in every room; three bedrooms; two-and-a-half baths. Kitchen is nice and opens into the living room which opens onto a large, comfortable lanai with a gas grill. Location is great. Half-mile from the local grocery store and a two-mile drive to the Waikoloa markets (Queen's and King's). Access to the beach club is the real prize: beautiful beach with no waves, clear water, great for swimming and relaxing. Other cool aspect was the digital guide the owners sent us in advance, which could be accessed as an app on our phones and had all relevant info about the house and area. Would definitely recommend.

Great first trip to the Big Island

This is a lovely rental home in a good location, perfect for families. Everything as advertised and I definitely recommend! I will say that for such a lovely place, the kitchen could be better outfitted, especially for people who plan to cook and eat meals in the rental (restaurants are expensive in HI!). A few suggestions to the rental owners: a salad spinner would be great, as well as some proper rubber spatulas for mixing. Also, the microwave door doesn't shut properly and at one point, my coffee cup was stuck in there when it wouldn't open. I think that could use an update.

March 2018 Stay

My wife and I stayed here for 12 days, along with our twin daughters. I thought the actual unit was far better than what the pictures showed on HomeAway. There was plenty of room for all four of us and we made good use of the outdoor space when eating. The extras in the garage were a bonus. Although we never used the bikes, we did make good use of the boogie boards, and it was nice to have a separate space where we could place our wet vests and towels to dry without bringing into the house. We thought the unit was fairly clean, but could use a total once over, and the sisal rugs have seen better days. These rugs shed and created a mess throughout the wood floors, which we found ourselves sweeping up from time to time. The pool area was nice, but not well kept. I'm sure the owners pay some sort of maintenance fee, but I wonder what they are getting in return. We spent each time upon arrival, selecting pool chaises that had the least amount of bird crap. If you are used to having kids that play with pool toys (inflatables), while on vacation, this is not the place. Our kids don't play with those; however, some families had them and took it to a new level. At one time, I counted 13 inflatables in the pool area, including a large flamingo and turtle. There is plenty of room in the pool for them, but management and security were advising renters to check their contracts and remove them; they were not allowed. If the families read the pool rules to begin with, it's rule #1 anyway; no need to search in the contract. I saw quite a few families collect their belongings and leave; it was strange. This unit is within close proximity to restaurants and shopping, which was a plus. While using the barbeque in this unit, the handle bar came right off in my hand. I managed to recover the screw in the burners, and hand tightened the bar back. I later texted and e-mailed the owners about it, including a pic, so that it could be fixed before the next guests. I never heard a response from them. I received my refundable deposit only after e-mails and a voicemail message. The lateness (two weeks) was attributed to a new book keeper. It was good to be notified by the HomeAway check out notification app that any unopened food would be donated to the Food Bank, per the owners (Awesome!) I would not likely rent at Ka Milo again, but not directly related to my experience renting this unit

Paradise!

We stayed here with our family! Everyone had an amazing time. The house was lovely and well maintained. We enjoyed the beaches, running in the mornings and sitting out on the beautiful deck drinking Kona coffee. We hope to return again for another stay.

Very clean and spacious

Our stay at Tropical Breezes was very relaxing. My husband and I were traveling with our adult children. There was plenty of room for us all to be together but still have our own space. The condo was very clean and well organized. Having the beach equipment and bikes was also nice. The private beach was wonderful!

Greatest Vacation Ever

Family Vacation with Daugher and Son in law and two grandsons ages 3 & 5. The accommodations were perfect!!! "Jacuzzi Time" was priceless. The excitement in the kids face was a blessing to experience. From the beach club to the shopping all expectations were exceeded. Highly recommend and we will be coming back!!!! Aloha

Excellent home, fantastic service!

We are a family of 5 (3 adults, 2 kids) who had the pleasure of staying at this property in February 2017. The house was very clean, spacious and well furnished. It was quiet as we could not hear our neighbours and they did not hear our active kids. The beds / bedding were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, including some spices to get us going. The provided beach gear and bikes were a nice bonus. The location was ideal, close to nearby beaches. I was attending a conference at the Fairmont Orchid which was a 5 minute walk. The nearby community / fitness center and pool were excellent. We had a 3 family (25 people) BBQ there with no problems. Jeff and Suzanne provided prompt communications from booking to our arrival and stay. We had a small problem with the dishwasher not draining that was solved with a quick call to Suzanne and a repairman the next morning. Sorry Suzanne for calling so late in the night, forgot about the time difference :) In summary, we greatly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Jeff and Suzanne for maintaining such a beautiful home. We definitely recommend it and will be booking again when we are back to the Big Island.

This place is amazing - we will stay again!

Wow! What a beautiful villa! Everything was as described in the vrbo details. This was the perfect place for us, our adult children and grandchild. We loved the golf course view, the outdoor lanei, and eating every meal outside on restoration hardware furniture. The Serta memory foam beds were so amazing! We want to go home and buy one! Jeff answered immediately to any questions we had. Our stay at Tropical Breezes is one that we will recommend highly.

Don't hesitate! Perfect unit + beautiful area

For our second trip to the Big Island, we opted to try the Kohala coast. I've read online that many recommend the Mauna Lani area so that is where I narrowed my search. In the end, I booked this condo because of its location and the pictures I viewed online of the unit. I was not disappointed when I arrived at Tropical Breezes! Location: The condo is located near the front of the KaMilo complex and right on a golf course. You can walk to the grocery store and the shops (maybe 15 mins). You must drive to the beach, but it is not terribly far. But you might have to brake for some goats along the way. Ha! The beach club was never terribly crowded and it was neat that there was a reef. The visibility wasn't good though... very murky but we saw lots of fish through the haze. Overall, KaMilo is quiet, unless the birds are singing. We even saw a turkey at one point. The pool area was never terribly crowded either and is a very short walk away. As far as attractions, there are several tour companies that operate in this area, including helicopter rides. We did a whale watching tour that launched down the road. There are plenty of restaurant choices within 15 mins and some wonderful hikes, too. Our fav restaurants were Tommy Bahama and Lava Lava and Pololuu Valley (past Hawi) for a jaw-dropping hike. Interior of condo: Beautiful and new! I loved the floors throughout and the beachy style. The furniture is high end- Restoration Hardware. The condo was clean and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. I appreciated the bikes (and helmets) and coolers. Booking process: No issues. I appreciated the text saying the condo was cleaned and ready for me (an hour early!) on check in day. My deposit was promptly refunded as well. Any gripes? Only 1 small one.... I wish the blender, coffee maker, and cooking utensils were a little higher end. AND I wish there were to-go cups (with lids for coffee on morning walks or cold beverages for beach trips). These things weren't a big deal but would make this unit even better. Loved this unit! Would love to return one day!

We have fallen in love with KaMilo and Mauna lani

The home is best equipped ever, including kitchen and even toiletries! Great location for on and off sight adventures....snorkling, terrific golf, paddle boarding and all equipment you could ever want or need! Loved local beach, hapuna, Mona Kea few minutes north and Kohalo for 3 mile hike back to see turtles, tidal pools! Cannot wait to return🌴😀🍍🌸🏌️‍♀️
