Another magical stay here, surrounded by art, woods, beautiful sunsets, walking paths, birds and other wildlife, and friendly horses who take treats. Gisela is a wonderful and responsive host.

The worst part of the this fabulous place is having to leave. Our dog Scarlett loves running through the forrest and saying hello to the beautiful horses.

Great Getaway!

We enjoyed our stay at the Loft, which is beautifully decorated and in a very relaxing environment. We loved meeting the horses and letting our dogs swim in the lake. Gisela was very accommodating and responsive!

Beautiful place

We had a wonderful stay at the loft house. It was cozy inside and the grounds were wonderful. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck overlooking the pond. Our dog enjoyed frolicking in the woods. The host was very friendly and responsive.

An absolute gem. This is a very unique space but one that is easily adaptable to any and all needs, creatively and spiritually. Clean and uncluttered but offering many ways of enjoying the space. Gisela is a celebrated interior designer, and I did not fully appreciate that until I was here. This is not design that overwhelms but impresses by speaking softly. She was very helpful and communicative. Very easy going, and the overall location is breathtaking, replete with trails, lovely ponds, deer, horses, and more. And moments from all the conveniences of civilization. I can not say one thing that was a bother. Seriously, we're lucky to have a space like this available.

We fully enjoyed our stay at Gisela’s house! The pictures accurately reflected the property and perhaps the space was even nicer than conveyed in photos - light, bright decorated uniquely with creative thoughtfulness. The view from the deck is lovely! We would definitely go back!

So spacious, inspiring, and amazing!

The house was so beautiful both inside and outside. It has a definite artist's touch and was very clean and well kept. It was surrounded by beautiful woods and was very close to New Paltz, Woodstock, and other great towns. The bed was comfy, temperature was well maintained, the kitchen was immaculate, it was all around amazing! We definitely will be back!

Quiet getaway

Unique and tranquil artist’s loft with a lovely pond on the property! Gisela has 2 beautiful horses which were a pleasure to see. Loft was clean, comfortable and had all essentials. Kids enjoyed the views of the pond and paddling around too. Location was nice with nearby restaurants and attractions, including Vanderbilt Mansion.

A magical haven

This really is a gem. We had a magical stay in this beautiful space, which felt like a retreat. The setting is truly spectacular. The accommodation is so beautiful, cosy and comfortable. It is impossible to describe how much thought, care and love has gone into making it an unforgettable stay. Gisela is an incredibly gracious hostess and she went out of her way to make sure that we had the best time. We cannot recommend this highly enough and can’t wait to come back!!

Love

Gisela thought of every detail when creating this space. The loft was clean, well stocked, the shower was the best shower I’ve ever experienced, bed was really comfortable, deck was beautiful with a beautiful view, fire pit was cozy and the location was perfect- easy to get to Kingston,Rheinbeck, Woodstock etc.. We really enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to come back.

I needed a quick little getaway for some quiet and reflective time. I am SOO glad I came across The Loft! My dog Derby and I had the best time relaxing in this beautiful space! The Loft itself had so much natural light; I didn’t need to turn on any lights until the sun had set. The cozy deck was the perfect place for me to read, write, and paint during my stay. I loved the sound of the waterfalls and all the birds. When I walked Derby each morning on the grounds, we were greeted by Gisela’s two gentle horses. Such a nice way to start the day! The Loft had everything I needed for the perfect little getaway; I cooked dinner each night and there were plenty of pots/pans/utensils/dishes/bowls to choose from. In addition, the shower pressure and temperature were divine; the perfect way to end each night. Gisela was the perfect hostess; always responding in a timely manner to my questions. Derby and I will definitely be returning in the future!

Couldn't have been nicer!

This accommodation is the epitome of healing, soothing, quiet. It is located in a natural residential setting with the added bonus of friendly horses on the property. So sweet. The place was spotless and filled with beautiful artwork--inspirational and healing. We made meals in a beautiful kitchen-- nothing missing here. Hooked our iPhones up to a high end speaker system and listened to our music. We had two restful nights in a very comfortable bed listening to the spring peepers. We couldn't have been happier here and will be returning in future.

Artsy, airy, and natural surroundings

The place lived up to the photos plus more. Gisela's fabric sculptures added an airiness to the already open space. Everything we needed to enjoy a restful stay was provided, including 3 choices of coffee makers (and a wide variety of teas), ample seating on the deck with a nice view, and a hammock. The surroundings were a nice surprise, with 2 friendly Arabian horses, a trail where our dog could run free leading to a second pond, impressive solar panels, and an enclosed riding arena with a ping-pong table. The downsides were a not-so-comfortable couch and a small dishwasher. But, we would definitely enjoy staying at this unique property again.

This is where we fill our cup

My husband and I rented Gisela’s special artists loft almost seven years ago when we first started dating. We first rented it in the middle of winter and holed ourselves up in this haven. Years later as a birthday surprise to my husband, I took him back but this time we were able to enjoy the amazing deck and comfortable deck furniture. We cooked (kitchen is very well provisioned), read, napped, fed the horses grass, enjoyed the fire pit, painted (we brought our own paint), did yoga, meditated and bird watched. The energy of this amazing space is definitely a by product of the love that Gisela has poured into it. If you need your cup to be filled, don’t hesitate to book this amazing spot.

Interesting space

Cabin is like a large dance studio with furniture. Nice kitchen and bath and rural surroundings, especially good if you bring a pup. Very clean. Wouldn’t chance scaling the ladder to sleep in the cramped loft with mattress on the floor. Those who prize a good night’s sleep and who don’t appreciate a very hard “memory foam” mattress with very little memory, placed on a low platform with no headboard, beware. Owner provided a memory foam topper for my second night but it didn’t help much. Yoga mats.

Dear guest I am truest sorry you did not like the mattress Yes it’s a signature memory foam mattress that I love and have in my bed too! It takes my shape and night. The mattress is still new and I don’t know why with the soft topper foam it did not make you comfortable I wish it had! Since it’s in my knowledge one of the best sleeping arrangements the head board on the bed is a great idea thank you! i just put one since its nice to lay in bed or sit and read or just look out the window take care

Beautiful unique place

The perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. Calming vibes and gorgeous scenery. I enjoyed my time. I stayed in late November and the studio was cozy and warm. Many little things for comfort and a good kitchen. Gisela was responsive and helpful.
