Aloha Barb and thank you for your detailed review. This is the owner responding. I deeply apologize for the inadequacies. We visit the unit every 6 months to review and inspect what is needed – our next visit begins on Oct. 18. We will replace all of the vents. All of the living room furniture (except the desk and credenza for TV) is less than 2 years old, but we will review it all to determine what might be needed. There is no excuse for mold in the ice maker – our housekeepers have been notified and are now very aware of the need for it to never occur again. Lastly, only one kitchen towel is also unacceptable. The housekeepers are responsible for leaving an adequate number of towels so this issue has also been raised with them. Again, many thanks for taking the time to let us know about this.

We actually do offer extra linens or a linen swap for fresh linens from the housekeepers for a small fee to cover laundry for longer stays. George-Thank you for your review. As the owners, we want you to know that we check reviews regularly to help achieve our goal that every guest has a comfortable and wonderful stay, as we do when we visit twice a year. This week, new “Euro-Top” King beds were placed in each bedroom. Both beds have new pillows. That is in addition to a new refrigerator that was recently installed. Thank you again for your input. Reviews make a difference!

I sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced with cleaning during your stay. I have spoken to the housekeepers about it and am making sure this kind of thing does not happen again. As you can see in our other great reviews that the unit is known for it's cleanliness. It seemed that the cleaning company had a big day full of check in's and the proper amount of time was not taken to ensure that the unit met our standards for cleanliness. As for the dust bunnies and drips that is just unacceptable. We have remedied everything noted and they should no longer be problematic from this point on.
