Beautiful property for a group getaway!

We had a reunion of 9 women and all were very comfortable in this beautiful and charming farmhouse - very clean, well stocked and had all the modern amenities to be very comfortable and spacious for all well. The farmhouse is easily from the main road and we took advantage of the picturesque 100 acres with detailed trails. We also took advantage of the gorgeous yurt on the premises and did a dream circle session from the owner which was wonderful and a highlight of our trip! Leslie was very accommodating and was on hand to ensure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Fabulous and Relaxing Retreat!

We enjoyed a wonderful women's getaway at Leslie's Exquisite Sanctuary. The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, and well equipped with everything we could possibly need during our stay. We were there during the Canada Day weekend heat-wave, and although the house does not have central air conditioning it felt lovely and cool. The grounds were beautiful, and we did manage a few short treks to wander along the trails and see the bunkie, maze and yurt......we would have done more hiking if the weather had not been so hot and humid. Truly a piece of paradise and we look forward to spending another women's weekend at Leslie's farmhouse in the future.

A One of a Kind Property and a Friendly Host make for the Perfect Stay

My friends and I (7 people total) stayed at Leslie's farmhouse for a PEC getaway weekend and I don't know if I have ever had a better experience staying at a rental property. The grounds are extensive and beautiful, the house was plenty large and had everything we needed and everything was very clean and tidy, and there were unique amenities that we all loved on site, such as the garden, the yurt and the campfire. But it is the Host, Leslie, that brings a great experience up to the top-tier of hosting I've experienced. She was so accommodating to our group's requests, answered all of my many questions, and made the entire process run so smoothly. She is a perfect communicator which really made it feel like our stay was perfectly tailored to our group and that no small detail was left out. I was so impressed by both the physical accommodations and the personal engagement that I would absolutely recommend this listing to anyone looking to stay in the area, especially those in a group. Thank you Leslie for hosting us and I hope to return in the future!

My best vacation rental experience ever

This was an incredible experience from beginning to end and I can’t recommend it enough. Our host, Leslie, was an absolute dream to deal with. She was quick to answer any and all questions and provided lots of information that helped us to plan our stay. She was easy to communicate with and very responsive when we needed to reach out while on the property. The farmhouse is extremely well maintained and super comfortable. It was so well-equipped it took us by surprise. The amount of cookware and serving dishes was incredible, especially for a large group like ours. Everything you could possibly need is there. At one point someone said “I wonder if there’s a garlic press?” And sure enough, we opened a drawer and found one! The rest of the house was much of the same, soaps, shampoos, towels, blankets, an enormous library of books... literally everything that made it feel like home. Apart from the cozy farmhouse, the grounds were the most impressive. The vegetable and herb garden was a beautiful view as we stepped out the door each day, and the kids enjoyed picking fresh herbs for our meals. We loved exploring the well-manicured, weaving paths that took us from the house to the fields (where our dog loved leaping through the tall grasses), through the woods, up to the meditation labyrinth (amazing view), and to the yurt. Every acre felt like a new spiritual experience, and every installation was charged with thought, care and reverence. We even felt so safely held in the yurt that we held a few impromptu yoga and stretching sessions. It was a perfect place to not only reconnect with our family members, but also to reconnect with ourselves. It’s clearly a very sacred piece of land and you can feel the magic. We all had an amazing, healing and energizing vacation. We have all agreed that we will be back as a family, and I will very likely book it to host a retreat in the near future.

Beautiful retreat for family over the holidays.

Owner was very friendly and helpful, property was perfect for a getaway during covid, separate rooms for 4 grandchildren and children and their spouses. Kitchen was very well stocked for all our baking and cooking over the holidays and the property has great trails for dogs and kids. Great for ages 8 - 70!!

Spectacular!

The few days we spent at Fells Meadows exceeded any expectations that we had prior to going. Leslie has created an incredibly stunning, beautiful, and peaceful place. The house is extremely comfortable and very well kept. And the overall property itself is stunning. Beyond that, the location is ideally situated for easy access to a very wide range of activities for all ages and temperaments. You sure to have a wonderful time at Fells Meadows!

Charming farm property

It is very clean and charming, especially the garden and trails on the property. My wife even spotted humming birds - what a treat. Leslie is very accommodating and welcoming. Next time we may plan for bigger group gathering here.

Wonderful Refresh in the Country!

We booked Fells Meadows so that our family could spend some precious time together, especially since we hadn't been able to see each other as much due to the pandemic. Leslie's farmhouse was a gem of a place for us to rest, relax, and reconnect. The house is spacious, surprisingly cool in the summer, and has plenty of places to cozy up and read, nap, or just enjoy the peace of being out in nature. The beds were comfy and one of our favourite things was the amazing sleep we all had! It must have been how quiet and dark it gets out in the country, but we definitely had some of our best sleeps and naps here! We enjoyed the trails on the property, though it does get quite buggy in July, so I would recommend bringing bug spray. The yurt was a fun place for us to explore and play some games in. We also appreciated the big flat screen TV for our evening Nintendo Switch competitions :). Kitchen was well stocked with all the basic equipment and some spices. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Most of all, we appreciated Leslie's hospitality and helpfulness during our stay. My mom had trouble with the bathtub as it was a bit slippery for her; Leslie wasted no time in getting us bathmats to put in the tub! Needless to say, she was an attentive and gracious host. We had a wonderful time here and hope to be back again :).

Wonderful escape with all the necessities and much more.

We had an incredible time at the property. The house is very clean, comfortable and roomy, with a well equipped kitchen, fireplaces, and perfect areas for spending time both inside and out. We had a huge outdoor meal on picnic tables, with the view of the green acres in the background. We took several walks around the property, including to the yurt, labyrinth, and little cabins. We also had a lovely bonfire under the stars. You really can't go wrong here, for groups big or small! The hosts were generous, kind and welcoming.

Heavenly

We had the most wonderful weekend at Fell’s Meadows. The house and grounds were perfect. We had a peaceful weekend with good friends and therapeutic laughter!! Thank you Leslie and Greg, you were wonderful hosts and catered to every need. This place was the best stocked vacation rental I have ever been to. I would highly recommend it especially if you need a place for peace and mental rejuvenation.

As advertised

A great place for a group to stay and a enjoy a laid back experience in lovely Northumberland County. Just North of Coburg off the 401 this retreat is well managed by Leslie and Greg. Considering we were struck by the 100km winds Friday May 4th 2018 that took out all electricity to the property ,we were there until the Sunday , both Leslie and Greg did everything in their power to make it a wonderful weekend. Leslie was providing all the meals and did so despite the blackout. Kudos to Fells Meadows, we would definitely recommend this property

Beautiful country get away

Our family of 12 rented this farm house for Christmas 2017. The house is easily accessible from Highway 401 and to local shopping and activities. The house is warm and comfortable for large or small groups, including a beautiful cabin and yurt in the woods. The acreage is a wonderful feature for hiking or snowshoes, and provides a natural respit from the day to day. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bedrooms are very comfortable. The house is spotless, with 3 wood burning fireplaces for comfort and constant heat. The hosts Leslie and Greg are responsive and accommodating, lovely to work with! I highly recommend this house for any occasion, big or small.

A great place for our family to meet

Leslie's place has all of what we needed for a pre-holiday get together. The trails around the property were the highlight for me - great for walking, regardless of the weather. A warm and cozy living room with a wonderful fireplace made for perfect place for our family to sit and talk in a relaxed atmosphere. The kitchen had all that we needed. The bedrooms were good sized and all 9 of us were able to have nicely appointed rooms. The only complaint I heard was that one of the mattresses was too hard. We hope to do it again next year or maybe the year after. And I would certainly recommend it to friends.

Girls' Getaway weekend

The hostess, Leslie, warmly greeted us and provided a thorough overview of the property and amenities. House was well stocked. Loved the masonry in the kitchen. The trails were well groomed and provided some great exercise, fresh air and scenery. Beds were comfie! Spent the day in Warkworth - what a gem! lots of lovely shops and welcoming people. Had a fun time at a pie eating contest at the Town Hall.

Warm and spacious getaway with many unique features and spectacular views!

This was a great property that offered the perfect setting for a long weekend outside of the city. My friends and I found that we had everything we needed to be comfortable, including kitchen items and a BBQ. The location meant that we could drive into Picton for the day, and to Sandbanks, and check out the drive-in at night. Leslie was a great host who was easily accessible both before and during our stay. I would recommend this property for family getaways, larger groups, or workshop retreats.

It was perfect!

This property is incredible. It's spacious and well-kept. The path leading up the hill to the cabin is perfect for a sunset-walk. The farmhouse is endearing, well kept, rustic, and beautiful. I can't wait to return.

Wmen's retreat

The property was a perfect fit for our group! The land and the facilities are magic! Leslie was wonderful to work with, fully responsive and a great communicator. The grounds and the buildings are well tended and we had everything we needed for our weekend. We were held well while we gathered. Would highly recommend a stay. The labyrinth and yurt were well used. Magic. Gratitude!

Christmas 2016

Ten of us spent a wonderful Christmas at this beautiful farmhouse and property. There is a main floor bedroom (and bathroom) which fit the bill for my 88 year old mother. The remaining 9 of us (3 couples, 2 teenagers and 1 young adult) were dispersed in the upstairs bedrooms which accommodated us very well. The kitchen was well outfitted for cooking and serving meals. We were all very impressed by the masonry heating system - both in watching Greg get the fire going each morning and in how toasty the farmhouse became and stayed over the course of the day/night, in particular the upstairs. The open living/dining room area also had its own wood stove which also made for a very cozy place to eat and visit. The trails to the yurt and hilltop cabin were fun to walk and made for a great way to get some fresh air as the Christmas weekend unfolded. For a Christmas "away from home" the icing on the cake was that Leslie ensured that the house had a festive feel from pretty decorations throughout the house to a lovely decorated tree in the living/dining room - perfect for gifts. This transformed the farmhouse into a home away from home. Many thanks.
