I can’t rave about this villa enough. Clean, quiet, comfortable, perfectly located, amazing communication, beautifully appointed. I could go on. If you stay, do yourself a favour and ask about the private chef. You’re worth it.

A fairy tale property with exceptional hosts to guide us! Our favorite VRBO stay!! Super comfortable, inviting, and with all amenities we needed. The air-conditioning was super helpful as was the pool to cool off. We walked into the historical part of Siena every day and all hours of the day. The restaurant offerings were a most welcomed treat with food and wine so good that we struugled to leave. We made beautiful memories to last us our life time and highly recommend this exceptional stay!!

Fantastic location a short walk into siena and beautiful views of tuscany. The accommodation was perfect for our family and the pool a real bonus. Anna and marco were great hosts and went out of their way to make us welcome.

Excellent Stay in Siena!

Villa Santa Chiara is a beautiful, well managed property in an excellent location. The three bedroom apartment we rented was clean and comfortable for our week-long stay for our party of six. I can't imagine a better option for accomodating a group in Siena. aaccommodations

A great VRBO inb a beautiful place

Anna and Mario wer fabulous. The accomodations and the grounds wer fabulous. For a stay in Siena you can't beat this setting. It is abut a 15 minute walk of the hill to get to center city, but the apartment and grounds ae well worth it.

Beautiful property with a great location

Perfect spot for a trip to Siena with friends. The hosts were helpful and available for questions. Easy walk to the city, but away from the hustle and bustle. Small grocery/deli close by. Highly recommend!

Family vacation in beautiful Siena

What a treat to stay at this charming family home right outside the walls of historic medieval Siena, Just a five minute walk away from the Porta Romano entrance into the walled city. Villa Santa Chiara was perfect in every way. Anna, Mario and Claudia were the most welcoming hosts and the property was breathtakingly beautiful. I highly recommend to anyone planning a Tuscany vacation.

Anna and Mario were excellent hosts. They answered my MANY questions regarding the property and location. An added bonus was Claudia who not only lives on the property but is a historian of Siena and the area. A must do Siena tour with her during your stay. Highly recommend this locally owned Villa with deep roots and knowledge of Siena.

The owners were lovely and were available to answer questions at any time. The property is a great location, immaculate and very comfortable. Our apartment was perfect for our family of 6 people. You can easily walk to Siena gate and all over the city. When we had some downtime, we were able to lounge and relax by the pool. The cats on the property are great too! Don't miss booking a tour of Siena with Claudia, the owners daughter. This was a highlight. You cannot go wrong with staying at this property!

Our party of five had plenty of space in our part of the lovely villa. Good directions to find the property, just outside the city walls. Easy parking at the villa. It was a 25 minute walk, some uphill to the city center. Everything we needed was in the apartment. Very nice hosts who provided good information on where to eat. Nice grounds with some modifications in progress.

Easy up-hill walk to Siena center. Spacious comfortable rooms, firm beds, tile floors and beautiful views. Largest showers I've seen in my stays in Italy. Friendly hosts on site without being intrusive. Enjoyed our tour of Siena with Claudia and wonderful day followed by delicious dinner with Veronica. Will miss our lovable cat Bella!

Villa Santa Chiara appt 4 review

The apartment is very near Porta Roma, definitely within walking distance of the historic Siena center. It has a lovely large living space, adequate kitchen and good beds (one king and 2 twins). Also, 2 full bathrooms. All were clean and ready for our arrival. Definitely recommended. One thing to know in advance, it is a second story appt (one flight of stairs to reach it), and a few stairs to reach one of the bedrooms.

Wonderful apartment and gardens for a family stay

We loved our stay at Villa Santa Chiara 6. The apartment was lovely and much nicer than the pictures can show. The gardens are lovely, the views spectacular and the pool was a great way to relax after long travels. We shopped and ate at the market nearby and walked into Sienna several times. The villa are s conveniently located right below the city walls. We wish we would have had more days in our trip to enjoy the property. We hope to return for a longer visit. Fabulous Siena location with teens. Anna was a very welcoming host and helped us book a great cooking lesson at the local school and recommended the city tourism walking tour, which was perfect, 2 hrs and on 8 people on the small group tour. Definitely stay here if you can.

Peaceful and nice landscape

Nice place to stay. Beautiful landscape, peaceful place and garden, very close to Siena piazza del campo. Nice pool, not used because we didn't have time. We spent 3 nights in the apartment 6. It was all clean and cozy. They provided us bread, salami and wine as a welcome gift. All kitchen equipments that we neede was available. Good shower and nice bed to sleep. I recommend it.

Siena Gem

This Villa is perfectly place outside the wall of Siena. Just a quick walk to all the historic beautiful buildings, restaurants and all the sites. The hosts Claudia and Anna are there to recommend and accommodate all your needs for a pleasant holiday. One evening they arranged for us to have two chefs, who came to our villa/apartment. These chefs were so much fun, they gave us a fabulous hands on cooking class. We made pasta and other dishes from scratch. So delicious and one of our highlights of our stay. The grounds are beautiful, comfortable, a safe and secure gated property. It also is very centrally located to explore the Tuscany region. I highly recommend this villa, you will complete your vacation with great accommodations and true Italian flare.

Una casa nel verde a due passi dal centro di Siena

Premetto che sono venuto a Siena per lavoro non per svago. Ho scelto il Santa Chiara perchè mi hanno convinto la descrizione e le foto, visto che cercavo un posto tranquillo dove stare che, al contempo, offrisse le comodità ed i servizi della città. La posizione è incantevole, il parco è suggestivo ed offre il giusto grado di separazione dalle strade cittadine. L'appartamento in cui sono stato (il n.2) è composto di due piani, con l'ingresso indipendente, arredato in modo familiare ed accogliente. Dopo un mese mi ci sento a casa! Io e mia moglie siamo stati accolti dalla sig.ra Anna che è stata gentile e disponibile; ci ha anche fatto trovare un bottiglia di ottimo rosso come benvenuto. La casa era pulitissima e la dotazione di mobili ed accessori superiore anche alle mie aspettative. Siamo venuti in inverno ma in meno di due giorni la casa era calda ed accogliente. Non ho vissuto Siena come turista ma le necessità pratiche (negozi e servizi vari) mi hanno fatto apprezzare la posizione del Santa Chiara: in 15/20 minuti si arriva nelle strade più centrali dove ci sono i negozi migliori, oltre a quelli per i turisti, tipo via dei Banchi di Sopra, vicino al Campo. Nei pressi ci sono un paio di mini market ma io preferivo i supermercati più grandi che sono comunque a massimo 5 minuti in auto. Consigliatissimo a chi vuole visitare la città, soprattutto se con famiglia al seguito!

Immersi nella natura a 5 min dal centro!!

Ho passato il capodanno a Siena con gli amici e la casa Santa Chiara dell'Agriturismo Le Caldanelle ci ha dato la possibilità di soggiornare in un suggestivo ambiente di campagna, sulla sommità di una collina circondati da ulivi e a soli 5 minuti a piedi dal centro storico! L'appartamento era assolutamente pulito, in ottimo stato ed arredato con gran gusto. Il servizio fornito dalla proprietaria è stato impeccabile in tutto e per tutto, accogliente e disponibile in ogni momento. Consiglierei l'agriturismo Le Caldanelle a tutti coloro che vogliano godersi qualche giorno di relax tra storia e natura.

Ottimo appartamento situato in una bella zona.

Ottimo appartamento situato in una bellissima zona appena fuori il centro,tanto che a piedi in 15/20 minuti sei in Piazza del Campo. L'appartamento (perfetto per 5/6 persone) si sviluppa su 3 piani con l'ingresso al piano terra,il soggiorno un bagno e la cucina (ampia e completa di tutto) al primo piano,due camere da letto (una con bagno) al secondo piano. All'interno tutto era in ottime condizioni,ben pulito ben arredato e ordinato. La vista di cui puoi godere appena uscito è quella che solo Siena e i suoi colli ti possono regalare. All'esterno,oltre che all'immenso giardino, c'è anche una piscina ma dato che era Dicembre non abbiamo potuto utilizzarla. Abbiamo anche conosciuto la proprietaria che si è dimostrata una persona squisita,gentilissima ed educata. Lo stesso vale per le figlie,sempre disponibili e gentili. Insomma un ottimo appartamento che consiglierei a chiunque

Gorgeous property so close to Siena City Center

We had a fabulous stay at Villa Santa Chiara! The apartment was spacious, well stocked with everything we needed with gorgeous views of the Tuscan countryside. We had a tour of the property, including the chapel, before we settled in and it’s stunning. The owner grew up on the property and it has been in her family for 300 hundred years, so her knowledge of the area is extensive. She was able to help us get dinner reservations in Siena as well as recommend sights. We can’t wait to come back to this incredible city!

Beautiful apartment

Fantastic location for our few days in Siena. The apartment was great and just as described, well looked after and very clean. We enjoyed the gardens and pool. The location was perfect for walking into Siena for evenings out and exploring the city.

Beautiful property and location

The property is beautiful but the host’s responsiveness could have been better. The communication break down started after we settled in. We would not get a response for our questions about the heating system. Even when the internet stopped working on the third night of our 4 night stay, there was no acknowledgement of the issue unless we happened to see her outside the house. She seems to be only interested in selling the winery tour for her family wine business and selling the family olive oil. The refrigerator was running too cold and broke a water bottle in the process of freezing it. No acknowledgement from the host of the malfunctioning appliance, only that of the broken bottle. Aside from these snafus, we love the property. It’s a lovely home in a breathtakingly beautiful setting. The Brunello winery tour is highly recommended.
